If condition in Flex?

Dear Friends,
iam trying to crate a contineous check boxes using repeater
command, and connecting an array as data provider.
<mx:Repeater id="rp" dataProvider="{ac}"
startingIndex="1">
<mx:CheckBox id="chk" label="label1" color="0xffffff"
height="20" width="200"/>
</mx:Repeater>
it is creating the checkboxes fine, but i need to check if
the data is empty, then it should skip the mx:checkbox command it
should not create the checkbox.
is there any way to do this? pls help me i got struct up..
Thanks and Regards,

Filter your ArrayCollection to not show empty items.

  • Problems with using whiteboard in flex 4.

    I recently ported my app to flex 4 using spark components. The SharedWhiteboard has stopped working correctly.
    There are 3 specific problems:
         1) I'm unable to change the color of a line or shape. It throws an exception in the debugger. It looks like it's an exception in NullColorPicker having it's updateDisplayList called with NaN for width and height. But I can't be sure. (No Flash10 source yet)
         2) I'm unable to rotate things. When I try to rotate something, the object orbits a point rather than rotates around it.
         3) I'm unable to set a contextMenu. It just ignores my settings.
    Are these known conditions in flex 4 with spark for AFCS? Or did I bork something?
    thanks

    Happy to hear that the color picker issue is fixed.
    I think that the ContextMenu is either my bug, or possibly a Flex4/Spark issue, so let's ignore that one for now. (I can't reproduce it in a simple environment.)
    Here's some code that shows the rotation issue I was talking about. It uses the coreUI:WhiteBoard. Just create a highlight rectangle and then try to rotate it. It orbits around a point off to the right instead of rotating around it's center.

  • Defining complex validations for flex items

    Hi,
    We've defined a flex regions and a number of flex items. We would like to define more complex validation logic at the entity object level, whereby we'd like to reference both 'fixed' entity attribute values as well as values of the flex items.
    Could you please indicate how this can be achieved in the validateEntity method of the EntityImpl.java class.
    We know beforehand which flex items will be displayed based on the value of one of the fixed entity attributes (e.g. if the attribute request_type='assist' then display flex items A and B, if request_type='info' then display flex items D, E and F). We use flex items because the number of request_types and corresponding 'dynamic' attributes is too large (and subject to frequent additions, deletions or modifications) to incorporate in a fixed static db table structure.
    If you can suggest alternatives to using JHeadstart flex items, these are more than welcome, of course.
    Many thanks beforehand,
    Ibrahim

    Dear Steven,
    First of all many many thanks for your prompt reply. We can use JSF EL expressions to conditionally render flex items. I'd like to illustrate my question with a simple example:
    We have three fixed entity attributes displayed:
    RequestType
    Birthday
    Sex
    and two flex items (rendered at runtime for a specific runtime value of RequestType):
    Smoker (Y/N)
    Weight
    Before saving the record I'd like to check a number of validation business rules that depend on the fixed entity attributes as well as the two flex items being displayed.
    Consequently, I'd need to be able to access the flex item values provided by the user, inside my validateEntity method (right ?).
    I can define simple validations for the flex items, but I can only access the flex item value and possibly the DependsOnItemValue.
    PS: When I define a flex item of type 'inputtext' and try to access its value using a bind variable in the validation query of the flex item e.g.
    :ItemValue = 'blabla'
    Suppose the user fills in the value Abracadabra, the validation logic substitutes as follows:
    Abracadabra = 'blabla' (which generates an Oracle error). I'd expect the following substitution to take place:
    'Abracadabra' = 'blabla'

    <u><b>Prep for SAP 2007 - Some SQL to Get the Clients Started</b></u>
    (NOTE: Marilyn Pratt suggested I post this here since it is so general.  If there is a better place, please let me know and I can move/post it there).
    I have just started working with a customer doing international business; pre-payments and block payments are 90% of their business.  They have not reconciled items for almost three years in SAP B1.  In my discussions with them about SAP 2007, they wanted to be a bit more proactive in dealing with reconciliations before SAP 2007 arrived.  In order to get them moving quickly, I wrote the following versions of SQL which identifies business partners with a zero account balance and open documents/journal entries (what easier way is there to start?).  If you find yourself in a similar situation, you might want to utilize this SQL to gently guide your customers into looking at unreconciled/unmatched situations. The SQL is simple, but direct.  It might be written a lot better, but the whole purpose was to get the customer to START doing something.  Two side benefits; one, the results of the SQL provide 100% success in what they are doing and they gain some confidence in a new process, and two, the customer can run this on a daily basis to keep things “clean”.  Once they are done with this easy-to-do phase, I will put something together that might help with those items needing more research.
    Might have made a mistake while re-typing the SQL for this post, so check them out and leave a note if I typed something wrong, OK?  It’s not much, but hope these help those who might be in a similar situation!
    (note – the two dashed items are just info only and not do not need to be put in the actual SQL you write).

    Hi,
    What is the native vlan you are using ? If it is vlan number 2, then there is known bug CSCui73764
    Symptom:
    Flex mode APs 1130 & 1240 series, will not pass traffic, e.g. DHCP, ARP. on some wlans.
    Conditions:
    1) Flex connect local switching
    2) AP 1240 or 1130
    3) any version before 7.4.121.7
    4) native vlan x, non working vlan y.
    5) user unable to get ip address.
    Workaround:
    change the native vlan to an unexpectedly high number, so no wlan will ever get mapped to a bridge group number that high.
    Further Problem Description:
    telnet to the flex ap. here is an example. vlan 3 is the native vlan on the flex ap, it is correctly mapped to bridge group 1. now the wlan which will not work is the one, which is mapped to vlan2. see carefully below, the vlan 2 is mapped to bridge group 3. this is the instance where we hit the bug. so it can be any wlan-vlan-native vlan combination.

  • [svn] 2716: SDK-15848 - Conditional compilation constants defined in flex-config. xml are never used if a single constant is specified on the command line

    Revision: 2716

    Log Message:
    SDK-15848 - Conditional compilation constants defined in flex-config.xml are never used if a single constant is specified on the command line
    * There's a possibility this will break a conditional complication test which disallows overwriting an existing definition -- I don't know if that will break the build, but the test should be removed either way.
    * Using append syntax ("-define+=" on the command line or ant tasks, or append="true" in flex-config) and redefining a value works now if you use an already-defined namespace and name.
    * So your flex-config may have -define=CONFIG::debug,false, and you may want -define+=CONFIG::debug,true from the commandline build, or FB build.
    * Made the ASC ConfigVar fields final as a sanity check since overwriting is now allowed. It would be harder to track changes and subtle bugs if they were mutable. This means that you must build a new ConfigVar object if you need to make changes.
    Bugs: SDK-15848
    QA: Yes. Please read the updated javadocs in CompilerConfiguration. Tests need to be added to validate that overwriting is allowed, and happens correctly in different situations: I believe the order should be that flex-config is overwritten by a custom config (can we have more than one user config? is the order deterministic? I forget...), is overwritten by commandline or OEM. Did I miss any? (I didn't write code which changes this, it works however the existing configuration system allows overwriting and appending; if we have tests for that, maybe we don't need them duplicated for this feature.)
    Doc: Yes. Please read the updated javadocs in CompilerConfiguration.

  • Flex tip: conditions like '&&' in MXML in MXML part

    Consider the following little MXML snippet:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute">
            <mx:VBox x="0" y="0" height="100%" width="100%">
                    <mx:CheckBox label="Checkbox 1" id="check1"/>
                    <mx:CheckBox label="Checkbox 2" id="check2"/>
                    <mx:Label text="{check1.selected && check2.selected?
                            'Both checked':
                            'Not both checked'}"/>
            </mx:VBox>
    </mx:Application>
    We want to show the string “Both checked” in the label, if both of  the checkboxes are checked, otherwise the label should show “Not both  checked”. When you use the above code in Flex, it will show you the  error: “The entity name must immediately follow the ‘&’ in the  entity reference.”. It is complaining about the line where the  “&&” appears.
    MXML files are treated as XML files and as such the parser expects to  see a symbol name after the “&” character. Hence the error message.
    With this in mind, we can convince Flex Builder and the mxml-compiler  to still use “&&” as a condition, by properly escaping them, as  in:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute">
            <mx:VBox x="0" y="0" height="100%" width="100%">
                    <mx:CheckBox label="Checkbox 1" id="check1"/>
                    <mx:CheckBox label="Checkbox 2" id="check2"/>
                    <mx:Label text="{check1.selected &amp;&amp; check2.selected?
                            'Both checked':
                            'Not both checked'}"/>
            </mx:VBox>
    </mx:Application>
    The above may look weird in the editor, but it compiles cleanly and does what one would expect.
    The same applies to other operators: “< " should be written as "&lt;" and ">” should be written as “&gt;”.

    Another way to deal with this is to specify the Label's text using a child tag (<mx:text>) and use a CDATA directive inside of that. Just like for code inside of <fx:Script>, If you use CDATA you don't have to escape characters with special XML meaning such as < and &.

  • How to Conditionally enable a date segment in flex based on Prior segment

    i need to enable 'Retest Date' - Date segment, only if a prior segment 'Result' has a value 'Fail'.In case 'Result' is passed, the 'Retest Date' should not be enabled.
    Retest Date should allow all possible dates . These values dont come from any table.
    I can use :$FLEX$.Result or :$FLEX.Result_valueset in my where clause of table validated valueset if the datatype is varchar2 . For date type, I have always used validation type as 'None' .Where do i mention the :$FLEX$.Result and what should be the validation type?

    Best,

  • Using :$FLEX$ to create a mutually exclusive parameter condition without poplist values

    Gurus,
    I've been unsuccessfully searching for an example of utilizing the $FLEX$ to mutually exclude one of two parameters.  Most of the examples I've seen are based on poplist value presented in parameter B for a value provided in parameter A.
    Here's what I need:
    Parameter A is initially editable
    Parameter B is initially editable
    If a value is entered for either B or A, then the other parameter will become greyed out.
    Pretty simple.   I need a straight forward answer.  I would prefer not having to create a custom value and use the "sql statement" option, but if there is no other way then that will be fine.
    Thanks in advance!

    Anyone got anything on this?

  • How to dynamically Set the list of flex contexts based on a condition

    Database is in 11i atg rup7 level
    first OAF page - shows list of employees under a manager
    on clicking an employee record, the second OAF page opens and it shows a set of records from descriptive flexfield. Currently 5 contexts of the same flexfield are enabled for this responsibiltiy using the ContextA||Seg1|Seg2|Seg3||ContextB||Seg1|Seg2||ContextC||Seg1|Seg2|Seg3|Seg4||ContextD||Seg1|Seg|Seg3|Seg4||COntextE||Seg1|Seg2 in the personalisation at responsibility
    So 5 sections(one for each context) are shown in the OA page
    My requirement is to show only 3 contexts for employee 'A' and 5 contexts for the employee 'B'. Both the employees are under the same manager.So i think i cannot do a simple personalisation at responsibility level.
    So assuming ,i have some parameter like person_id , how do i dynamically restrict to 3 or 5 contexts in my controller code?

    Hi,
    Use this :
    OADescriptiveFlexBean descFlexfieldsBean = (OADescriptiveFlexBean)oawebbean.findIndexedChildRecursive("flexitemid");
    descFlexfieldsBean.processFlex(oapagecontext);
    if(descFlexfieldsBean != null)
    descFlexfieldsBean.setFlexContextCode(pageContext,"ContextName");

    Hi. It looks like your code is not finding the mp3. At least,
    I can reproduce your error code by removing the mp3 from the

    Btw, if you test with FF instead of IE, you'd see the error:

    Somewhere in your pom.xml where you are configuring your build dependancies there will be a line <scope>caching</scope> this line is configuring the build to use a flex runtime shared library. This line is generating the error because caching is not a valid dependancy scope in maven 3 however mojos uses it anyway. There was a defect opened against flexmojos; I've linked it below. Froeder's response to the issue was that it was not fixable, that the warning is expected and that we'll have to live with it for now.

  • Cisco Flex 7500 controller with client disconnects

    Hey All,
    There will be alot of info in this post, hopefully all helpful, more info the better right!  If you require anymore info to help me out to not hesistate to request it.
    We have been having some issues with clients connecting and disconnecting several times a day and having to manually reconnect from the icon on their taskbar. We have about 380 APs, and 200+ more to deploy that we have and are licensed for but are having some issues that we want to resolve first obviously.
    Some locations our setup is a bit more complex than this with multiple SSIDs and vlans, but this issue is everywhere so i will keep it to our simple setup for now:
    AP Models: AIR-LAP1042N-A-K9, AIR-CAP1602I-A-K9 (Most locations do not have a mix of both, most have 1042s)
    Running a single SSID - WPA/WPA2 with: WPA - TKIP and WPA2 - AES on the same SSID.
    They talk back to a Cisco Flex 7500 Series through a tunnel (should not be any port blocking preventing communication)
    We are running from what i understand a bad firmware version (7.6.100.0) and during our next maintenance window i am going to try and get them to change to a more stable firmware version.
    Data Rates of 1,2,5.5,11 Mbps are disabled
    TPCv1 coverage running
    Automatic Power Assignment
    I will not focus on the a/n/ac network as most of our devices are connecting to WPA due to the config they already have.
    Ideally i would like to get rid of WPA all together but i am not 100% in control of the decisions to get the started and people here like to delay things lol.
    It is hard to say if the issue is specific to a model as we have so few 1602Is, and it is just at our main office.  I have not heard many complaints but i have noticed i will now and then get a limited or no connectivity settings on my wireless icon on my PC.  I use hard-wired so i don't really notice if it is not working.
    In most locations it looks like the controller is doing a decent job at selection channels to use. I did find one spot where it had on 11 APs down a long hallway, and did not use channel 6 once. I statically set that location to stagger the channels to see what kind results we had and am still waiting to hear on that as they complained the most out of all of our locations. In some cases 3 APs in a row were on channel 1 in the hallway, in alot of casses 1 was 2 times in a row as well as 11 so there was alot of overlap.
    I am attaching my show sysinfo and show wlan 17 for that informtion, some of the other settings i have changed today that were previously enabled/set different are:
    Disabled Cisco Aironet IE
    Set channel automatic rescan from 10 mintues to 12 hours as i can image if it is changing the channels alot it can lead to disconnects.
    Some of the main things we get in our message log are:
    *dot1xMsgTask: Oct 16 15:17:36.943: #DOT1X-4-MAX_EAPOL_KEY_RETRANS: 1x_ptsm.c:508 Max EAPOL-key M5 retransmissions exceeded for client 84:85:06:0b:a6:33
        - Not sure why we get this as we have a PSK and do not have local eap enabled.....
    *apfMsConnTask_6: Oct 16 15:19:01.753: #APF-3-AID_UPDATE_FAILED: apf_80211.c:6570 Error updating Association ID for REAP AP Clientc8:f9:f9:2b:fd:50 - AID 4

        - There is a bug for this log, but according to the bug our 7.6.100.0 is not effected

    As long as you take the configuration backup downgrading from 7.6.100.0 to 7.4.121.0 should be fine. Because this is Flexconnect deployment, make sure you review the release notes thoroughly as config like vlan mapping is impacted it is painful to reconfigure.
    I still think moving to 7.6MR3 & once 8.x get stable going for that code is a good plan. Though 7.4.121.0 is assure wave it does not mean it has no bugs.(remember that prior to this 7.4.110.0 was assure wave & it deferred in quick time) . I would say 8.x going to be the code staying for long time period, so ultimately you have to be there.
    In 8.x there are few FlexConnect improvements,one being AP won't reload when you change from local mode to FlexConnect.
