  • Calling java code from oracle apps form

    I've created my own java .class file and am attempting to call it from an oracle applications form. I am getting a runtime error while running the form, but I don't know what the error is because nothing is being reported to me.
    I've created the .java file in JDeveloper, compiled it into a .class file, deployed it to a .jar file, and placed it on the application server in a directory that the CLASSPATH can see it. I've added it to the archive parameter of the appsweb.cfg file and see that the .jar file is being downloaded when the JInitiator of Oracle Apps is started.
    I have also imported the .class file into the form via the Program -> Import Java Classes which resulted in PL/SQL package stubs created to call the .class methods.
    When I run the form, the java code is activated on a triggering event, PRE-INSERT. There is no java bean item in a block or on a canvas anywhere. I dont' think I need there to be since I am simply using the java code to perform actions during PRE-INSERT, not to display anything on the canvas.
    I have placed debug messages throughout my code and see that the error is occuring in the PL/SQL packaged stub at the line "JNI.GET_CLASS()" where the parameter to that call is the name of my class. I know it's erroring there because I am handling the "java_error" exception. I am displaying "ora_java.last_error" in the exception handling, but it is null.
    I am at a loss as to determine why I am having problems and how to display an error. Any suggestions? I'm happy to outline my steps and problem in more detail if I have missed something obvious.
    We are using Forms 6.0.8.21.3 with Oracle Apps 11.5.7.
    Shane.

    Shane,
    Don't loose the heart. You have come too close to end.
    The scenario you have mentioned is very unique and something which will fit more in the forms forum. So I think that was a sincere answer to help you and not a "pass the buck" card type game :)
    You are lucky that you got Tapash interested into this issue, otherwise you see there is no OAF component involved out here.
    I have an article promised to some of the guys but will follow this issue.

  • Looking for an idea to call action listner or other way to call java code

    Hi
    I'm building some project on JSF2
    I'm Looking for an idea to call action listner or other way to call java code from link(not commandlink)
    and i got a sign out button which i want to invalidate the session when its clicked...
    i cant do a redirect to a jsp... its a "special" link that does the log out , so i cant use the link for the session invalidation
    I dont want to use commandLink cause i need to put it into a form, and i don't to make my code uglier...
    any ideas?
    Im using JSF 2 (new to it)

    Under the constraints you have given the only thing I can think of is some kind of "pretty url" technique combined with JSF. Google can help you out. (Although that might be overkill for what you need.)
    Other than that I think you are looking at straight Java or JSP solutions that do not involve JSF.

  • Calling simple Java Code from 11g BPM

    Hi,
    I know this has been round the houses but I cant find a satisfactory solution for my scenario. I would like to call some simple java code from BPM (11.1.1.6). I guess I need to expose it as a service but it seems overkill to be via soap so any advice you can give would be much appreciated. Creating a jar that I can call somehow would be perfect.
    This is my scenario:
    - I am creating a Security POC for BPM
    - The BPM Process is exposed as a web service and authenticated using SAML
    - I am testing by calling the WS from OSB
    - I want to be able to get the WLS Principal and display the username and the roles for the launching user, from within the BPM process
    - This is possible using some simple weblogic client api code shown below
    - So all I want to do is call this code from BPM somehow
    - Anyone point me in the right direction ?
    cheers
    Tony
    subject = Security.getCurrentSubject();
    for(Principal p: subject.getPrincipals()) {
    if(p instanceof WLSGroupImpl) {
    groupList.add(p.getName());
    } else if (p instanceof WLSUser) {
    principal = p.getName();
    }

    The problem to communiate java classes and forms solved !
    i have add my .jar file to $OA_JAVA/oracle/apps/fnd/jar and now i can communicate between forms and java.
    I can create an object, i can get simple message from class, but when i try to create
    ServiceFactory factory = ServiceFactory.newInstance();
    ive got ORA-105100...
    can anybody help ?

  • Error while calling java program from ABAP

    Hi Experts,
    We are trying for RFC inbound scenario.
    We followed the below blog
    /people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2004/08/26/setup-and-test-sap-java-connector-outbound-connection
    We are working with SAP JCO 3.0.2
    We are getting the error : 'STFC_CONNECTION' could not be found in the server repository.
    After I run the Java server program if I execute the RFC destination directly from SM 59 it is showing successful messages.
    If I stop the java program then this RFC is failing. Based on this we concluded that RFC to Java connection is working fine.
    But as mentioned in blog if we call the RFC Destination from ABAP program it is giving the below error,
    'STFC_CONNECTION' could not be found in the server repository.
    If we test the RFC destination using RFC_TRUSTED_CHECK standard FM we are getting the below error.
    'RFCPING' could not be found in the server repository.
    We create the RFC destination of Type : TCP/IP as exactly mention in the blog.
    Please help us in resolving this issue.
    Thanks
    Prince

    Pabi,
    Using the RFC connection,we can establish a link between Java and SAP.
    Afterwards,hope we can call Java program from ABAP.
    Below is the sample piece of code to establish RFC connection(link) between Java and SAP.
    DATA: REQUTEXT LIKE SY-LISEL,
          RESPTEXT LIKE SY-LISEL,
          ECHOTEXT LIKE SY-LISEL.

  • How to call Java API from BSP?

    I have a requirement to call Java API from BSP application.
    I have checked the forum and found that it is possible by using some ABAP codes.
    However there is no pointer on how this is done.
    Can someone explain the details on how to call Java API from BSP is done?
    I found class CL_EJB_JAVA_OBJECT_METHODS to call a method in EJB but can't find function or SAP class to call Java API.
    Actually is there any BSP extention which can used to call Java API?
    Thanks,
    Hendri

    check out these weblogs, it should give you an idea how to go about it.

  • How to call java method from C ?

    Hello,
    I try to call a native method from java which calls java method from the same class. Exception (noSuchMethodError) is thrown. Any ideas?
    Thanx in advance !
    here is the source of the native method :
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_TestDll_Proc_1Mul_1Int_1Var_1Var_1Stdcall (JNIEnv * env, jclass jcl, jint jarg1, jint jarg2) {
    int arg1;
    int arg2;
    int arg3;
    jint res;
    char * ch = "test";
    jfieldID fid;
    jmethodID mid;
    int (* procedure) (int *, int * ,int *);
    int mch;
    arg1 = (int )jarg1;
    arg2 = (int )jarg2;
    procedure = GetProcAddress(libraryHandle,"Proc_Mul_Int_Var_Var_Stdcall");
    procedure(&arg1,&arg2,&arg3);
    res = (jint) arg3;
    printf("(*env)->GetMethodID(env, jcl, \"test\", \"()V\");\n");
    mid = (*env)->GetMethodID(env, jcl, "test", "()V");
    printf("(*env)->CallVoidMethod(env, jcl, mid);\n");
    (*env)->CallVoidMethod(env, jcl, mid);
    return res;
    here is the source of the java file:
    public class TestDll {
    static {
    System.loadLibrary("testdllwrap");
    System.out.println("java: Library testdllwrap.dll loaded");
    public TestDll() {
    public native int Proc_Mul_Int_Var_Var_Stdcall(int jarg1, int jarg2);
    public void test() {
    System.out.println("java: test()");
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    TestDll access = new TestDll();
    int a = 5;
    int b = 6;
    int c = 0;
    System.out.println("Calling Proc_Mul_Int_Var_Var_Stdcall");
    c = access.Proc_Mul_Int_Var_Var_Stdcall(a,b);
    System.out.println("Java Result = " + c);

    Something is wrong with the code you posted here.
    Since your native method is not static, it should have the jobject instance as a parameter in the function prototype, not a jclass. Also, you should be calling CallObjectMethod with a jobject, not jclass.
    Check out Jace at http://jace.reyelts.com/jace.
    To call the java method you would do:
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_TestDll_Proc_1Mul_1Int_1Var_1Var_1Stdcall
    (JNIEnv * env, jobject jTestDll, jint jarg1, jint jarg2) {
      TestDll testDll( jTestDll );
      testDll.test();
    }God bless,
    -Toby Reyelts

  • Calling java APIs from a function module

    Hi,
    Can someone tell me whether it is possible to call Java APIs from a function module in SAP system?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vineetha

    Hi,
    I guess you have changed the properties of screen only.
    I assume you have made a Ztransaction Code.
    When you define a transaction code, you need to specify a screen number for radio option program and screen and you need to specify a screen and not subscreen.( I think so!!)
    You changed only the code without changing the transaction code properties.
    Therefore, i think u r getting a dump.
    If you want to call your subscreen, call it in some screen and then call that screen using your transaction code properties.
    To include a subscreen screen in the subscreen area of the main screen and call its PBO flow logic, use the following statement in the PBO event of the main screen:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      CALL SUBSCREEN <area> INCLUDING <prog> <dynp>.
    To call the PAI flow logic of the subscreen screen, use the following statement in the PAI flow logic of the main screen:
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    CALL SUBSCREEN <area>.
