Calling JAVA components through BPEL?

How can BPEL call JAVA components? If there any different adapter ??
Pls respond...thanks in advance.

Hi,
there are two ways:
generate a webservice from your java component
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28974/devjavaclass.htm#BHCEGEJA
or
embed your java into the bpel

Hello All,
We are upgrading JAVA components to SP-STACK 12 for our system GD0(ECC

And for this I followed note#701654 and updated the password of admin in Filesystem Secure Store and restarted the J2ee server ,even after doing
all this steps also still we are facing the same problem.
Currently when I try to login into J2ee engine through URL
:(<host>:<port>) it displays "Application you have requested is stoped",and when I check throw jcmon all three were under running

Kindly advise me on this..as I am struck in halfway..

• Calling Java App through Oracle 9i Database

Hi there,
I have a Java application that is being invoked through an AFTER INSERT trigger on a table. The trigger calls an Oracle plsql wrapper stored procedure which fires the Java application and passes a parameter value.
Problem: Java application should be invoked only once the commit after the INSERT statement is issued. I am unable to do this by this by using an INSERT trigger as the commit; takes place after the Java app is called?
I know and understand that ON COMMIT TRIGGER IS NOT POSSIBLE IN ORACLE.
Is there any other possible way to solve this problem?
Cheers.

Unless the behaviour of DBMS_SCHEDULER has changed recently, it does a commit as part of the create_job call (or whatever subprogram you use) so is not suitable as a replacement for DBMS_JOB when submitting a job as part of a transaction.
So, what you say is a good approach but using DBMS_JOB.

3. Commands format for jython or java bean shell.In your procedure , set the technology to Jython .
Write normal java commands ... like

• Follow up to web services question: How do I expose java components as web services on iPlanet 6.0 app server?

My task - my company has several legacy PowerBuilder applications that access a variety of Sybase and MS SQL databases. Rather than re-inventing the wheel by re-writing these applications in Java, we would like to enable these applications to call java components (EJBs) that will provide new functionality. I would need a piece of software called CSXtend (from www.cynergysystems.com) to allow PowerBuilder to call a web service. However, I am not sure how to expose my business functions (EJBs) as web services on the iPlanet 6.0 App server. Thanks for all previous responses! Any additional info would be greatly appreciated! Mike

I have used Glue (http://www.themindelectric.com/products/glue/glue.html) to expose some of our stuff as Web Services. I recently found this on serverside. It's pretty good.
http://www.theserverside.com/resources/article.jsp?l=Systinet-web-services-part-1
I believe that the middleware they use can be plugged into IPlanet. There is also an article in the knowledge base on the IPlanet site.

• Calling java program in bipublisher

Hi,
Like we have datamodel types in BIPublisher as SQL Query, Webservice, Answers, File etc,, Can we call java program through bipublisher.
The requirement is:
A java program will generate BARCODE image based on the customer number given.
We need to create a template in bipublisher which shows the customer name and that barcode image and other details.
We have calling javaprograms in ibots in analytics, is there any such thing in bipublisher.
Thanks.

You can call PL/SQL programs from OWB either by defining transformations or as expressions. From PL/SQL you can call a java stored procedures in the database as follows:
1. Define the java stored procedure. For example, let's suppose that you store the following Java class in the database:
import java.sql.*;
import oracle.jdbc.driver.*;
public class Adjuster {
public static void raiseSalary (int empNo, float percent)
throws SQLException {
Connection conn = new OracleDriver().defaultConnection();
String sql = "UPDATE emp SET sal = sal * ? WHERE empno = ?";
try {
PreparedStatement pstmt = conn.prepareStatement(sql);
pstmt.setFloat(1, (1 + percent / 100));
pstmt.setInt(2, empNo);
pstmt.executeUpdate();
pstmt.close();
} catch (SQLException e) {System.err.println(e.getMessage());}
2. The class Adjuster has one method, which raises the salary of an employee by a given percentage. Because raiseSalary is a void method, you publish it as a procedure using this call spec:
CREATE PROCEDURE raise_salary (empno NUMBER, pct NUMBER)
AS LANGUAGE JAVA
NAME 'Adjuster.raiseSalary(int, float)';
3. Call procedure raise_salary from an anonymous PL/SQL block, as follows:Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

• Calling Java from BPEL

Hi,
Is WSIF still the best/recommend way to call java code from your BPEL? Or are we moving away from that kind of env. and should put a wrapper around the legacy java code and expose them as services?
Regards,
Muasir

hi,
Java can't call BPEL directly. So you have following steps:
1. Create Web Service from existing java file(Some tools can generate Web Service from java class).
2. Generate the Service Proxy by using Web Service.
3. Invoke the Web Service through proxy.
4. If your application use the struts, you can invoke the process from struts action class, which is called from a web page.
Maybe it is useful for you!

Maybe this is a sin, to ask a question about java on a .net forum but still going to try ;)
As you said, this is a question about Java. I am afraid this is out of our support. You'd better ask in thier special forum. Like selenium. Thanks for your understanding.

I don't think you can specify the password at the prompt using ssh. Plink has the -pw command option for passwords. What I did was except ssh to ask me and write the password programmatically through the outputStream I obtained from my Process object. I looked for "password: ", and then wrote the password with a trailing newline.
Both plink and ssh will also ask if you trust the host if it is the first time you are connecting to it. So before just writing the password, check if the program wants verification from you: normally supplying "y" or "n". This should only have to happen the first time the client connects. It looks like thisPLINK:
The server's host key is not cached in the registry. You
have no guarantee that the server is the computer you
think it is.
The server's key fingerprint is:
1024 f8:43:61:4c:a2:5b:77:be:5b:a7:bb:1f:f7:79:b3:b7
If you trust this host, enter "y" to add the key to
PuTTY's cache and carry on connecting.
If you want to carry on connecting just once, without
adding the key to the cache, enter "n".
If you do not trust this host, press Return to abandon the
connection.
Store key in cache? (y/n)
SSH:
The authenticity of host '127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is e1:02:13:c8:52:c2:23:41:9b:5b:58:2c:18:e6:59:af.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?What I did was read character by character from the inputStream until I found things of interest ... like "password: ". You only need to search for this in your method which will launch the ssh or plink Process. Once you have verifyed yourself, you can just pass commands to the Process, which is an ssh connection.
My suggestion is to read() each byte from the Process's inputStream and write it to stdout. Look and see what you need to be looking for so you can interactive with the program correctly. You can't use readLine here becuase when the ssh asks for the password it does not print a newline. I do know for sure, that ssh will simply print, "passowrd: ". Plink will print this as well if the -pw option is not supplied.

• API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

Hello,
I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.
Please note, I have also posted this question to the SOA Suite and BPEL discussion forums...
Thank you kindly!
Christine

Hello and thank you for your response. I am new to using APIs so please excuse my inexperience... I am not sure how to run the API outside of BPEL... Is that something you could easily walk me through?
I have made the following changes in BPEL based on your recommendation: 1) Added Oracle Application Service and used the API, LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER, found in the Oracle Application Module Browser* under: Applications Technology (ATG_PF)> User Management (UMX)> User (FND_USER)> PLSQL> User (FND_USER_PKG)> LDAP_WRAPPER_CREATE_USER
2) Set the following parameter prior to Invoking the Oracle App Service: X_USER_NAME, X_UNENCRYPTED_PASSWORD,X_START_DATE, X_END_DATE, X_DESCRIPTION, X_EMAIL_ADDRESS, X_FAX, X_EXPIRE_PWD.
3) Deploy and run BPEL through BPEL Control.
I get the following {color:#ff0000}error on the Invoke{color}. {color:#339966}Do you see any issues with the values I am passing in the input{color}? Any idea why I am getting this error? Is there anything that I need to have configured for the API to work correctly, other than adding an Oracle Application Service in the BPEL?
Thank you for your time,
Christine
