Calling JSP files existing in the pagelet/jsp folder of the PAR file

Hi,
I have all my JSPs in the Pagelet/JSP folder and am trying to call one from other.
For example :- There are 2 JSPs, namely, FILE1.jsp and FILE2.jsp. Now when I try to display the first and call the second on clickling a hyper link in the first page dispalyed, i am facing issues.
I have included a component entry for both the files. Here's the extract :-
<components>
    <component name="File1">
      <component-config>
        <property name="ClassName" value="com.bp.ngl.gen.File1"/>
        <property name="ComponentType" value="jspnative"/>
        <property name="JSP" value="pagelet/File1.jsp"/>
      </component-config>
    </component>
    <component name="File2">
      <component-config>
        <property name="ClassName" value="com.bp.ngl.gen.File2"/>
        <property name="ComponentType" value="jspnative"/>
        <property name="JSP" value="pagelet/File2.jsp"/>
      </component-config>
    </component>
   <component-profile/>
And i have inlcuded the following code in the first JSP file to call the second JSP file :-
<%
     String componentName = componentRequest.getComponentContext().getApplicationName();
     String helpUrl = "/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/"componentName".File2";
%>
<a href="tools" onClick = "return EPCM.doNavigate("<%=helpUrl %>");">click here</a>
But this gives me a Portal runtime error.
I tried creating seperate IViews for both of these JSPs?? I am not sure whether it is required to have it that way. Also I am not sure as if we need seperate java files for each of the JSPs that we create.
Please help me in this.
Thanks.
Regards,
Narahari

Hi,
IF you are using EPCF.doNavigate then you should give the iview address as the url. If should be something like this
<%
String componentName = componentRequest.getComponentContext().getApplicationName();
String helpUrl = "ROLES://portal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role/com.sap.portal.system_administration/com.sap.portal.system_admin_ws/com.sap.portal.support/com.sap.portal.support_desk";
%>
<a href="tools" onClick = "return EPCM.doNavigate("<%=helpUrl %>");">click here</a>
Or as Ranjith said use the href option

  • How to call jsp after reading from ServletInputStream?

              if the client submit a form including FILE type, I usually use ServletInputStream
              to read it and return next page by calling JSP file. but In weblogic6.0Sp1, the
              server will report a exception: One of the getParameter family of methods called
              after reading from the ServletInputStream(), can't mix these two!
              can anyone help me? thanx a lot.

    I've seen these messages in the WLS 5.1.0 logs when POSTing to servlets.
              All the reading is done in the servlet and then a JSP handles the view
              rendering. However, I don't actually call getParameter() or it's kin
              anywhere. I thought maybe something inside the JSP generated servlet is
              calling getParameter(), but I've looked at the generated code and can't find
              any calls. If I had a stack trace it would be easier to sort out.
              Is this a warning or an error? Is there a bad side effect. I imagine the
              getParameter() call would fail.

  • REP-52005: The specified key userlogin does not exist in the key map file.

    Hi,
    I am using oracle 11g report server. I am getting the error of REP-52005: The specified key userlogin does not exist in the key map file.
    I updated the user_string in cgicmd.dat file. My cgicmd.dat file content is below
    ; OracleAS Reports Services                       ;
    ; CGICMD.DAT                                      ;
    ; Example CGICMD.DAT Mapping file                 ;
    ; Syntax:
    ;      KEY : VALUE
    ; Where:
    ; KEY - the first argument of the rwservlet URL request (case sensitive).
    ; VALUE - command line parameters and/or special parameters.
    ; Keys can be referenced in the following ways:
    ;    1. Parameter on command line to the reports servlet
    ;          e.g. http://machine/servlet/rwservlet?KEY
    ;    2. Parameter on command line to a reports jsp
    ;          e.g. http://machine/mydir/myreport.jsp?KEY
    ;    3. Within a reports jsp - in the rw:report custom tag
    ;          e.g. <rw:report parameters="KEY">
    ; In addition to the Reports Server command line parameters, VALUE can include special parameters
    ; represented as "%X", where X identifies the parameter. Currently recognized special
    ; parameters:
    ;  %0 - %9 - 0..9 arguments from original rwservlet URL request. Note that %0 refers to the key itself.
    ;  %* - entire contents (all arguments) of original rwservlet URL request.
    ;  %D - request users to input database userid everytime they run the report.
    ;  %P - request for report parameter form in HTML format. It generates the PARAMFORM=HTML
    ;       construction on the first submission of the URL and PARAMFORM=NO upon parameter form submission.
    ; CGICMD.DAT Usage Notes
    ;   1. Multiple keys in this file MUST be separated by an EXTRA empty line.
    ;   2. Extra spaces are ignored. Multi-line entries allowed.
    ;   3. Lines starting with ";" character are treated as a comments.
    ;   4. Comments within a key or key value are NOT allowed.
    ;   5. NLS language support is provided and can be used (encoding should match the one
    ;      used in HTML request - no language conversion of any kind is attempted.

  • Problem in calling jsp/servlets ...Last Day

    when ever I call jsp page from browser, It always search the jsp page in the parent directory of the documentroot directory.
    Also I am not able to set the configuration for calling the servlet from my customize laocation. is any other entry needed except specifying the repositry path in zone.properties file.
    Please help...........I have not very time left for evaluation of 9ias 1.0.2.0.0
    If any one encountered this type of problem. pls respond immediately
    I have installed 9ias v10200 enterprise edition with oracle 8.1.6(enterprise edition) as origin database on winnt server 4.0 with service pack 5. At the time of installation I have selected oracle web cache , forms & reports to be configured at the time of installation.
    I am using port say 10000 other than default port 80, but on same IP.
    I have entered the folling entries at the end of httpd.conf file.
    <VirtualHost 192.168.1.120:10000>
    ServerName rnd1
    DocumentRoot e:/test
    DirectoryIndex hi.html
    </VirtualHost>
    Listen 80
    Listen 10000
    now when I request "http://rnd1:10000/ClamHome.jsp" from browser, It gives the messege that source file "ClamHome.jsp" not found on path "e:\" which is the parent of my documentroot path. Why it try to search at parent directory of document root????????
    another thing is that, when I run the demos of jsp given with 9ias v10200, they works(jsps) fine.
    but after running the demo which is on port 80 with documentroot e:\9\Apache\Apache\htdocs,
    I again call my ClamHome.jsp at rnd1:10000 then it gives error that file not found at "e:\9\Apache\Apache\htdocs". Strange behaviour, this time it searches on path which I called earlier.
    pls help

    I would try to change "./Welcome.jsp" to "/Welcome.jsp". I'm not sure what that period will do.
    Are you able to access that JSP directly from your browser (even if it's not designed to be accessed that way)? If not, then you have some other problem.
    When you say you get a 404 when you access the servlet, is that when you access the servlet, or when it tries to forward to the JSP? If you get the 404 when you access the servlet, perhaps your servlet-mapping to the servlet is invalid.

    Hi.
    How can I call JSP page from forms6i Client/Server?
    Flavio.

    What is your problem with a host command? You can use:
    host('c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe http://server/page.jsp');
    There a disadvantage indeed: you have to close the browser before you can return to the form.

    How to Call jsp page from plsql??

    The best approach would be to change the behavior of your site so that it includes index.jsp as one of the default files. Typically that is done using the upper-level control files of the site. Here's a link from Sun that describes their approach.
    http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/WebApp4.html
    Actually, you don't say what type of webserver you're using, so it's really hard to guess. But if you were using an Apache webserver, you might want to review the "DirectoryIndex" directive here...
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_dir.html
    In fact, if you were using Apache and didn't want to do that, you could do a redirect to another page using the "redirect" directive in the webserver control files as described here:
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.1/en/mod/mod_alias.html#redirect

  • File 'Form1.resx' already exists in the project

    Dear Everyone,
    Could you help me to solve the File 'Form1.resx' already exists in the project. when I put my form under a sub folder?
    I tried to copy the 'Form1.resx' from project base folder to the sub folder, the Visual studio 2010 C++ complied but the software hang at:
    this->Icon = (cli::safe_cast<System::Drawing::Icon^  >(resources->GetObject(L"$this.Icon")));
    I am using Visual studio C++ 2010.
    Here is an explanation from someone with the same issue:
    "if you create a new Windows Form in a C++/CLI application and choose to save the .h and .cpp files in a location other than the project folder - for example a sub folder below the sub folder - the form gets created ok, but when you try to change
    anything on it you get an error message saying:
    "Could not find the file: <path_to_project_folder>\<subfolder>\<form_name>.resx"
    If you try to save the changes you get another error message saying:
    "File <path_to_project_folder>\<form_name>.resx' already exists in the project."
    followed by another error message:
    "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component."
    Regardless of where you save the .h file, Visual studio creates the .resx file in the project folder and then looks for it in the same folder as the .h file, and can't find it!"

    Hi Shu Hu,
    I followed you suggestion and the issue was still there. I got the software crashed at:
    this->Icon = (cli::safe_cast<System::Drawing::Icon^  >(resources->GetObject(L"$this.Icon")));
    Here are my steps:
    1. Create a subdirectory
    2. Add new form under new sub-directory
    3. Change form icon from "Properties" tab
    4. ignore error
    5. copy the *.resx from the root of the project to sub-directory
    6. close and reopen the project
    7. remove *.resx from project Solution
    8. Add *.resx under sub-directory to Header Files
    9. Add some code to call the form.
    10. Build & run
    I saw this issue reported at least since VS C++ 2005 and it seemed there is no fix.
    I tried these steps to reproduce this issue. But my project works well on my side. According to your application hang at : "this->Icon = (cli::safe_cast<System::Drawing::Icon^  >(resources->GetObject(L"$this.Icon")));"
    I guess you may forget one step, could you try open the .resx file and click add resource -> add existing file. I guess your icon file didn't embed in resx file.
    How to report this issue to Microsoft development team so they can fix it?
    I cannot reproduce this issue. If you have a sample to reproduce this issue, you could submit this issue to
    microsoft connect. I am also glad to test your sample on my side, and you could share it on a public Onedrive folder with me.

  • Call subtemplate if the corresponding node exists in the XML

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to call the sub template if the corresponding exists in the XML file. For example if the invoice node and the corresponding details are present in the XML file then i have to call the invoice sub template. Can any one suggest me how to check if the node exists or not in the XML file. Is there any specific command for this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot..it is working now as per ur suggestions..but am facing another problem here. Am calling the sub template from a main template. Headers and footers for both main and sub templates are different. So for calling the sub template i did section break (Insert -->Break , In section break-->New page) so that the header and footer of the main template wll not be repeated in the sub template. So in the new page am checking if the node exists or not the XML. If so then call the XML. If the node exists then sub template is called successfully. But if the node does not exists then a blank page is displayed for this since the call stmt is in the new page.
    So can you please suggest me how to suppress the blank page if the node does not exist.
    Thanks.
