Calling multiple HttpRequest starts

hi FX,
I tried the example code from the API documentation of HttpRequest. I did a few basic tests (with GET) with a small server written in C. Everything works like in the API doc. But when I try to reuse the HttpRequest start (on the same object def or var ) I get an error:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: request reuse not permitted
at javafx.io.http.HttpRequest.start(HttpRequest.fx:1235)
.....( same when I try twice it from a run method or a button action )
Probably due to the fact it's only instantiated once in the beginning but I haven't got the time to look deeper. I toughed that when the onDone state is reached I can easily reuse an re-trigger a start event but that's not the case. Anyway what is the correct way to handle multiple GET or POSTs within the same javaFX program run scoop using the HttpRequest object ?

Phil,
Problem was indeed single instantiation of the HttpRequest object.
Now I made a function that instantiates the var HttpRequest and calls a start as the single action and this works as it should be. I tested it using an action trigger on a simple button multiple times and no prob. I may assume that this object is properly cleaned after leaving the function that I'm not sure.
At first I toughed that the same HttpRequest instance could be used during the execution of the program using the appropriate state functions but I made a mistake here.
So this can be considered as solved.

ItemEditEnd called multiple times

Hi.
Am using a datagrid and using an item editor and item render for that. Item Renderer --> To give background color and Item Editor - to show a date picker. While implementing this, my need is to open a popup when we enter date. But, am getting the popup thrice , sometimes during "on change" and sometimes, when I press "Enter" or "Tab out" . When analyzed further, I noticed that itemEditEnd event is called thrice. Can anyone let me know the alternative for this please ? Here is my code.

And yes, the itemEditEnd is called multiple times, even for other scenarios. Find below a sample code, where-in, iam using date editor to validate the field entered. Here too, the itemEditEnd is called thrice( you can notice that the alert creeps up thrice). Let me know if you need anything else

Firefox making same GET call multiple times

Firefox is making the same AJAX call multiple times for a single event when it should really do it once. Actually, with each single click the number of calls multiplies. I have tested the application using Chromium and Eclipse's internal browser and I have no problems.
I removed all add-ons and started Firefox in safe-mode, but the problem persists.

Hi Arthur, do you have a page available that demonstrates this problem? If so, please post a link. Perhaps your test doesn't actually need to make a network request: for example, perhaps it could add a message to the page indicating that the relevant section of code was triggered.

OSB example calling multiple business services using a single proxy service???

Hi,
I have three business services created using http urls i.e.
1. LoginBS
2. GetListBS
3. LogoutBS
My requirement is to get a list of names from GetListBS using a single proxy service and to call GetListBS I have to first call LoginBS then GetListBS i.e. after authentication and then finally logout.
Kindly help with a detailed example for this and I am new to OSB.

Thanks for the response. We figured that it is possible to call multiple services with Split Join. However, we ran into the issue you described. We had a blocking call and had to wait until each of the services returned a response.
However, we needed a Async model for our design and felt that this might not be a right fit.
We are now looking at implementing the publish option with QoS configured as this fits our usecase better. Thanks for the help again.

Thing is how can i call multiple records at the same time using the SOAP
adapter i.e i need to make a request to BAPI and in the BAPI response
based on the fields, i need to send to different records....it is Sync call

Finalize() method being called multiple times for same object?

I got a dilly of a pickle here.
Looks like according to the Tomcat output log file that the finalize method of class User is being called MANY more times than is being constructed.

Every time a User object is created, a static counter variable is incremented and then when an object is destroyed it appends the current value of that static member to the Tomcat log file (via System.out.println being executed on server side).

It really does seem to me like finalize is being called multiple times for the same object.
That number should incremement for every instantiated User, and finalize can only be called once for each User object.
I thought this was impossible?

I am already thinking of ideas to limit the number of threads.
Unfortunately there are two threads of execution in the servlet handler, one handles requests and the other parses the collection of User objects to check for out of date timestamps, and then eliminates them if they are out of date.
The collection parsing thread is currently a javax.swing.Timer thread (Bad design I know...) so I believe that I can routinely check for timestamps in another way and fix that problem.
Just found out too that Tomcat was throwing me a ConcurrentModificationException as well, which may help explain the slew of mysterious behavior from my servlet!
The Timer thread has to go. I got to think of a better way to routinely weed out User objects from the collection.
Or perhaps, maybe I can attempt to make it thread safe???
Eg. make my User collection volatile?
Any opinions on the best approach are well appreciated.

Best practices for Calling Multiple Business Services in OSB

Strange error message when compiling an IPA ("multiple L$start$ labels found at same address in...")

I get this message when compiling an IPA with AIR 3.6:

Googling a bit, it seems it's an error message from this C++ class:

So I suppose it's a bug in the AIR for iOS compiler. Any clues about why am I getting that warning message?

I need to call a three transaction from LSMW wich are subzequent steps for data entry.
1) first tcode to be called is eprodcust which creates some master data and using this master data and some fields of data creatd i need to call two more tcodes first iq01 to create meter and save then eg31 tcod to feed data.
Please suggest where in lsmw can i give options for suc hscnerio and call of subsequent screens.

we have few options to handle such cases , to avoid Locked Problems what you can do is
-->write BDC program within LSMW to create installation ( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->Based on the above BDC results ,run another BDC within LSMW to create Device.( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->third BDC records , let SAP do it thru LSMW or can you do it convert data step itself.
this approch needs lots of codes , so in worst case and if you dont want to break the loadings the follow this.
*Better to find any BAPI which will do creation of installation ,devices

How to call RFC with STARTING NEW TASK...performing my_form... in a class?

I created a test report for parallel processing and this works perfectly fine but when I try to build this into a class I somehow cannot create the receiving form inside the method of the class...

I tried to place the form before the endmethod but this doesn't work and afterwards is also not an option.
Is ABP OO not supporting parallel processing?

Generic Data Source is calling multiple times in RSA3

I have the requirement to get data from Generic Data Sources with function Module,
after finishing the FM I have checked in extact checker(RSA)
in the internal table I_T_DATA is displays 281 records,
but in RSA3 it shows 112560 records, I found that the FM is calling multiple time by executing one time in RSA3.
1.what would be the problem
2.where is the porblem is it in FM coding or any other places to check.

Hi Savita,
I don't understand clearly from your reply regarding flow you transported and what all you transported.
You need to first transport objects in R/3 and import them.
Then transport Infoprovider, Datasource in BI assuming depenedent Infoare Infoobject, application component already transported.
Then transport your Infosource, Update rule, Transfer rules, Infopackage.

it does nt provide me any data. i have check in debugger call fm is wkging fine so pls clear me why i'm nt geeting result.

Did you use the PERFORMING <form> ON END OF TASK to get the results back; like in the following sample
          CALL FUNCTION 'SAPWL_STATREC_READ_FILE'
               STARTING NEW TASK taskname
               DESTINATION list-name
               PERFORMING read_outtab ON END OF TASK
               EXPORTING
                    read_start_date   = s_date
                    read_start_time   = '000000'
                    read_end_date     = s_date
                    read_end_time     = '235959'
               EXCEPTIONS " failure when calling RFC
                    communication_failure = 1 MESSAGE msg_text
                    system_failure        = 2 MESSAGE msg_text

and
FORM read_outtab USING taskname.
