Hi
i want to call multiple screens from lsmw
I need to call a three transaction from LSMW wich are subzequent steps for data entry.
1) first tcode to be called is eprodcust which creates some master data and using this master data and some fields of data creatd i need to call two more tcodes first iq01 to create meter and save then eg31 tcod to feed data.
Please suggest where in lsmw can i give options for suc hscnerio and call of subsequent screens.

we have few options to handle such cases , to avoid Locked Problems what you can do is
-->write BDC program within LSMW to create installation ( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->Based on the above BDC results ,run another BDC within LSMW to create Device.( this will be created within step of 11 Convert Data ).
-->third BDC records , let SAP do it thru LSMW or can you do it convert data step itself.
this approch needs lots of codes , so in worst case and if you dont want to break the loadings the follow this.
*Better to find any BAPI which will do creation of installation ,devices

Dynamic variant calling multiple screens

Hi all,
The concerned issue is that i am trying to execute a report( which on execution throws a selection screen) from a program using 'submit' statement passing a variant. along with it iam creating a dynamic varinat using FM RS_CREATE_VARIANT, the variant is being made, but on execution , the program throws an error meassage " invalid variant called'.
This is because the varinat is calling multiple screens , although only one screen number is passed in teh FM,( screen no 0170).
Please tell me the possible solution fr this .

first try to pass only the static variant with the submit statement and c whether its working properly.
and than check for dynamic variant..

Can we call multiple smartforms from single Driver Program. Here Driver program is custom Program.
I want to give Print Parameter only once and output should get printed one after the another smartform in same order of smarforms were called.

Yes, you can do this in your Smartform driver program.
Each time you call you Smartform function module you will need to change the values in structure OUTPUT_OPTIONS slightly.
On the first call set TDNEWID to X.
After this, set it to space
On the last form set TDFINAL to X.
This will put all of the output into one spool request, in the order they are called in the program.

Error in SRM iView calling https screen from R/3 backend.

Hello All,
I have deployed on SRM Bussiness Package on EP and connected R/3 SRM Server with Ep vis system.
When i check connection test for system it shows connectioin successfull, But when i navigated to one of the Role present in BP and tried to a preview on iView which in turn calling screen from R/3.
That screen is working fine in R/3 that use https:// connection in Bckend and working fine there.
But when i click on iView in Ep it is throwing error .
I have pasted Error Log from NWA under.

i have navigated to the path you told in SICf but i cant find any node under srmsum .
srmsum is the only node, no subnode in it.
I have deactivated and activated srmsum node i can test it success fully in SICF but it does not have default.htm page in SICf but it does in SE80.
And other thing is regarding SAp_BW system that i am useing is the aliase that i have used for system connecting SRm server SA_BW is just the aliase name and nothing have to do with Bi functionality.

Calling Java screens from Oracle Forms application

I am working with a client that has a large Oracle forms application. Since rewriting the entire application in Java is not an option at this time, the strategic direction is that any new modules that are to be created for the application are to be done in Java and called from the Forms menu. The decision as to what tool to use to develop the Java modules is still under debate. What is the best (most seamless) way to do this...calling a Java screen from a Forms application? If anyone has any experience in this, or can direct me to some literature on it, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is a web app in Forms/Reports 10g R2 running off Oracle AS and an Oracle db. The challenge for us is that the direction is that any new enhancements (screens) are to be built using Java (in either ADF Faces or Swing, another point for debate later) and then called from the Forms app. The business client is only paying for the enhancement. They don't care about moving off Forms to Java, so any extra work on the part of IT to do this, has to be fairly minimal and doable within the project budget. The movement to Java is an IT direction. Is there a way to do this without having to build a java framework for the entire Forms application (which I assume would take some time and involve retesting the entire app)?

Whis is a syntax for system can identify yhe record i.e we can able to select one record from screen 100 is transferred to screen 120.
FNAME ---> Field Name
FVAL----->Value Which is selected from that Value (screen 100)..

Back on a CALL SELECTION-SCREEN from an ALV

I have created a program with a normal selection-screen (1000).
According to the selected values, when I press "Execute" I go to a next selection-screen (2000) with instruction CALL SELECTION-SCREEN 2000.
Then I display an ALV.
When I press the back button, I want to go back to screen 2000, but actually I go directly to screen 1000.
PARAMETERS : p_choic1 RADIOBUTTON GROUP cho DEFAULT 'X'.
PARAMETERS : p_choic2 RADIOBUTTON GROUP cho.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 2000.

Call a Screen from A selection screen report

Hi Friends,
I developed a report (1. Excecutable) and i am calling a screen say 9000 which is having several subscreens. While i am clicking the BACK button it should come to the same selection screen report. How to do this? We can't use LEAVE SCREEN or LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. Because 9000 screen having the subscreen. If i use LEAVE PROGRAM it won't come to selection screen. Instead it will come out of program.

We can come from screen to selection screen of the report by using -- "LEAVE TO LIST PROCESSING".

Hai,
I have to call a custom screen from user exit include after the delivery save.
Depends on the data in the delivery,
if the data satisfies certain conditions I will call the screen otherwise no.

Calling multiple BPs from main BP

Hi,
I am using JCAPS 5.1.0.
I'm trying to call multiple Sub BP through Main BP using event-based decision.
I'm invoking 2 WSDL operations in the sub business processes.
Now, only one subprocess is working and while testing the another , i'm getting the following error msg : "wsMsg is null and the associated Fault container is not available.." . Also, i would like to know how to use 'Partners' in the main BP in this scenario since the correct configuration is required to run successfully.

I'm not familiar with tab canvas and setting up new pages. Can you give me an example?
What I tried was setting up two different blocks, one each on a seperate canvas other than the main block's canvas. I called on of them through the button. This seems to work. However, since I'm storing every block on one form and the new blocks are stored on a seperate canvas, the height of the 2 new canvases are shorter due to less infomation to display (as that on the main block). If I shrink the size on the canvas (on the new blocks), it shrinks the display of the main block too at runtime. How could I bypass this?
A few more questions:
I would like to make the blocks invisible until I click the button. I have set the visible property of the canvas to 'No' and when I tab through the form at runtime, those two new blocks are visible. How can I correct this to only display the 2 new search blocks if I click the button only?
Also, on my 2 new search blocks, if I select a value through a double-click, enter, etc, how could I pass that record's value(s) back to the main block (i.e. student_id)?

Call Multiple Files From Single ColdFusion Scheduled Task

Our host only allows us to have 5 scheduled tasks per account but we need to run cfml applications to import data for multiple sites (at least 15 processes). What I'd like to do is combine all the 'sample requests' for all sites into ONE scheduled task that will run them one after another thus cutting back on the number of scheduled tasks needed.
We're using ColdFusion to connect to a MySQL DB to gather all sample requests. First the app retrieves all the unflagged records from a remote db then begins looping through all the returned records. On the each loop, the app 'scrubs' the data by properly formatting phone numbers, fixing address abbreviations, etc. Next the app saves the scrubbed data to a local MS SQL table then starts the loop over on the next row. Lastly the app sends out an email saying it has completed successfully.
What I'm trying to do is Create a New Parent App that will run as a scheduled task to do the following:
- New Parent App Runs as Scheduled Task and calls/includes first of X sample request app files
- New Parent App runs first sample request app as described above (which can take up to a minute to process)
- Parent app waits until after first sample request app completes, then Parent App goes on to second sample request app, etc.
- After all sample requests are complete New App sends completion email with date and time
The problem I'm having is getting the scheduled task to wait for apppage1.cfm to finish before loading apppage2.cfm and so on. Can you give me a simple codeset that accomplishes this?
I've attached a sample of the include page the needs to complete before moving on!

Our approach is a bit more comprehensive.
First, we (meaning my co-workers) wrote a custom tag that does something like this:

Then our actual scheduled job go like this:
set a really long timeout (and none of the actual jobs can have their own timeout)
set some variables
use the custom tag for each job we want to run
send mail if any errors occurred.

How to call initial screen from Sm30 screen back button

Hi All,
I have written a program to call SM30 transaction using BDC method.The values entered on initial screen of report are being passed on to SM30 screen through BDC . As per selection criteria inserted on screen only those particular entries are being displayed on SM30 table maintenace screen.
But when I click on BACK button on table maintenace screen of SM30 it takes me to first screen of SM30 ransaction instead of report's first screen.
What do I have to do to move on to first screen of report when BACK button clicked .

Creata table maintenance generator for your table. You need not have to do a BDC to SM30 to maintain the table. You can use the FM "VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL" by passing the table name. This will also take in the criteria to filter the record in the table display. Now if you press back button from here it will take you back to your report screen.
