Calling Subtemplate with passed in variable

Just wondering how to call a subtemplate with a parameter that is passed in to the rtf, like this:
main template:
<?param@begin:P_ORG_ID?>
This is my main template. I have stuff here....
Call subtemplate:
<?call@inlines:Header?>
<?with-param:Org;$P_ORG_ID?>
<?end call?>
Question is how to pass the P_ORG_ID to the subtemplate. The way I have listed above does not work, its blank in the subtemplate.

I have the following syntax that calls a conditional footer depending on orgid and country:

This works great if I call it from a form-field but if I paste this code into the footer it does'nt get interpreted as xsl-code.
Is there any way to work around this?

By the way - you can call subtemplates with parameters using the short <??> notation in the real header.

Open a crystal report from WAD with passing the variables values

Hi,
I need to know is there any way to link SAP WAD to crystal reports (open a crystal report from WAD)and pass the values of the variables which are entered in the Web App. (e.g. Customer id,year) should be passed to the Crystal Report.
Maybe we need to pass parameter by WAD URL but this is just my assumption and have no idea how to do this with passing variable values.
right now I know the method of how Bex queries which are used as data source for crystal reports but in my current scenario we have the structure like this that bex queries link with WAD and then WAD is linked with crystal reports.
No doubt that Crystal report is target option in RRI but there the source is Bex Query only but in current scenario we are looking WAD (web template) as a source to crystal report or crystal report called in WAD.
Please suggest something on same.

Need help with passing a variable in a function

Hello. I am working on a Flash app that needs to play videos. I have code using netstream that works great for one movie. The problem is I have 3 movies I want to play and I need to figure out how to replace the string variable with the correct path info depending on what button is pushed. I'm thinking this needs to be an array which I have coded but it is not working. Here is the code:

This is just set for two buttons for testing. I keep getting the "1120: Access of undefined property event." right at the "nsStream.play(strSource[clickedIndex]);" line. The variable strSource is what I am trying to pass different movie paths into, but I am having no luck. Am setting this up right or is there another way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Trying to do like this:

Run Report with Pass Number and Varchar Lexical Parameter values

Dear Sir/Madam
Due to an urgent change required to a report I would most appreciate it if you can please advise me if it is possible to get this report working by either passing in multiple lexical parameters or one signle lexical parameter when calling the SRW.RUN_REPORT command with the following methods:
Firstly: When calling report with a run_no and spr_cd passed in through one lexical:
cmd_line: REPORT=D:\DEV\REMITTANCE.rdf BACKGROUND=YES BATCH=NO DESFORMAT=PDF DESTYPE=FILE DESNAME=D:\DEV\REMITTANCE.pdf
CP_L_PARAM=RUN_NO=TO_NUMBER(28) AND SPR_CD=SUPP1
Both with a TO_NUMBER and without, whereby I attempt to do a SUBSTR within the query of the called report to derive the RUN_NO Oracle Reports fails to accept the SUBSTR.
Secondly: I am now trying to call the with passing two lexical parameters into the report as follows:
cmd_line: REPORT=D:\DEV\REMITTANCE.rdf BACKGROUND=YES BATCH=NO DESFORMAT=PDF DESTYPE=FILE DESNAME=D:\DEV\REMITTANCE.pdf
CP_L_RUN_NO=||TO_CHAR(lv_run_no)|| CP_L_SPR_CD=||lv_spr_cd;
NOTE: The above is an output of the actual command line and not what is passed into the command line, thus the quotes are missing. Please also note that the report is running fine with the only a hard coded RUN_NO value PASSED without the SPR_CD.
Unfortunately this is also causing issues as the RUN_NO is a number and as you know you can only pass in strings.
Your urgent help is required on this matter please as our client is expecting a solution this afternoon.

Calling ASP script from APEX button passing Bind variable

I am surprised by the degree of no replies. I have solved this by using asp redirects such as:
Response.Redirect("test.aspx?UserName="&user)
My formulated solution contains a page with a manually built interactive report. I have a number of bind variables at the top of the reoprt where users can query the information they want based on desginated database columns for this particular report. Once they have the "manual" interactive report displaying what they want, they click a button where a asp script is called with parameters passed that calls a Java based Crystal Reports plugin with the called correspnding report displayed with passed parameters.
Works like a charm!
This solves our reporting needs without having to resort to Bi Publisher (much too expensive) and other third party applications that kinda indicate it can work with apex but provide limited help or best form for doing so.

I use one of the list positions as the text for a link in two different spots. For now, lets only talk about the line:

Since I am generating these controls at pageLoad, I can't make them <asp:Linkbutton>s. And since they are anchor elements, I don't have access to an onCommand attribute or onservercommand attribute.
All I want to do is access the content from inside the specific link tags that I generate on link click and set it as a session variable. That's what I would like my UserProfile_Click function to do. I cant commandargs it in like i can with a linkbutton's
OnCommnad attribute, however.
My fear is that the onserverclick attribute resolves so something else on pageLoad normally and since I am generating it the way I am similar to the way a <asp:linkButton> resolves to a generated JavaScript.
Any help?

Issue with passing schema name as variable to sql file

I have a scenario wherein from SYS a Java process (Process_1) is invoking SQL files and executing the same in SQLPLUS mode.
DB: Oracle 11.2.3.0
Platform: Oracle Linux 5 (64-bit)
Call_1.sql is being invoked by Java which contains the below content:-

COMMIT;

Another process (Process_2) again from SYS user is also accessing Filename_1.sql.
The content of Filename_1.sql is:-

Process_2 uses "&Schema_Name" identifier to populate the owner name in Filename_1.sql. But Process_1 needs to use "&&1" to populate the owner name. This is where I am looking a way to modify Call_1.sql file so that it can accommodate both "&&1" to populate owner name values in Filename_1.sql (with avoiding making any changes to Filename_1.sql).
Any help would be appreciated.

Bad day for good code. Have yet to spot any posted today... Sadly, yours is just another ugly hack.
The appropriate method for using SQL*Plus substitution variables (in an automated fashion), is as command line parameters. Not as static/global variables defined by some other script ran prior.
So if a script is, for example, to create a schema, it should look something as follows:
-- usage: create-schema.sql <schema_name>
set verify off
set define on
create user &1 identified by .. default tablespace .. quota ... ;
grant ... to &1;
--eof
If script 1 wants to call it direct then:
-- script 1
@create-schema SCOTT
If script 2 want to call it using an existing variable:
-- script 2
@create-schema &SCHEMA
Please - when hacking in this fashion, make an attempt to understand why the hack is needed and how it works. (and yes, the majority of SQL*Plus scripts fall into the CLI hack category). There's nothing simple, beautiful, or elegant about SQL*Plus scripts and their mainframe roots.

How to pass presentation variable with enclosing single quotes

HI All,
As all of you know in 11g, Presentation variable can hold more than one value.So we can pass multiple values to the report through presentation variable.
If we select x,y,z values from prompt drop down,then those values will be stored like x,y,z in the presentation variable.
but I would like to store these values with enclosing single quotes like 'x,y,z'
The reason is I need to pass this variable value as input to BI Publisher sql dataset query where clause.
Please share your Ideas.

u might be having a model class for your model,
just insert that model class in the attributes and then u can use that model class for your controller.
a easy example of creating it is as in this link...

Give the page attributes of the view. in the page attribute define the model class there that u have created.
in the view u can use the model class as...
SELECT_model is the name of the object refering to the model class.
i_vbak have been defined in the attributes of the model class.
we are accessing it here in teh view calling it as below.
and in the model we had fetched the data for the below fields .

Sequence call with Pass/Fail Test always returns Passed result

In TestStand 2.0, I use Sequence Adapter with Pass/Fail Test step to call a subsequence, I always receive a Passed result, even as I force fail a step in the subsequence and enabled the Step Failure Causes Sequence Failure option.

The status expression for the Pass/Fail step type does not look to see if the status has been previously set by the code module in this case the sequence call.
Step.DataSource != "Step.Result.PassFail" ?
Step.Result.PassFail = Evaluate(Step.DataSource) :
False, Step.Result.PassFail ? "Passed" : "Failed"
It just set it to Passed or Failed even if the status is already "Failed".
You could either,
1) Change the Pass/Fail expression to the following for the step,
Step.Result.Status == "Done"? Step.Result.PassFail : False
or
2) Use two steps, a Sequence Call and a Pass/Fail that uses the None Adapter. The Pass/Fail could operate on the previous step if necessary.

If our iphone is locked with pass code we can make a call using voice control.
Press and Hold the Home button then you will get the Voice Control Menu.
Choose Dial or Call then you can make call.
Is it IOS Bugs or...

It is a feature.
You can disable it at Settings > General > Passcode > Voice Dial if you wish.

Passing a variable from one thread to another

Hi. I'm trying to produce a chat program in Java but need to pass a variable between two threads. I have included a snipet of the code.

A number of threads are created based on code similar to the above. Each thread communicates to a different client on the chat program. However, I want to be able to send messages between the clients.
Each thread has a method called messageUser(Socket socket, String msg). I should (hopefully) be able to send a message to anyone using the prog if I can access their socket. The problem is that the socket objects for each client is held in the clients own thread. I have tried writing some code to find the Socket object in another thread but to no success. The code I am trying is shown below.
