Calling URLLoader from AIR in Rapid Succession Causes Error 2032

Hi All,
Within AIR, I am issuing multiple POST calls with URLLoader in rapid succession to the same web service on the same server.
About half of them fail with error #2032. In the HTTPStatus handler, I get status=0.
I suspected keep-alive issues, so I added "Content: close" to the URLRequest header and made sure I called URLLoader.close() as soon as I got a succesful response from calls which succeeded- but no joy.
I would appreciate any ideas.
mlavie

Kglad and Amy - thanks for your responses.
I inspected the traffic in Fiddler and Wireshark. It appears that AIR is not even trying to reach the server for those failed instances. After extensive Googling, it seems that mutiple URLLoader calls is a sure recipe for problems. I made the calls serial by having each Success handler call the next URLLoader.
Again - thanks for repsonding,
mlavie

  • Embedded .swf's calling javascript from air container

    1) I have an html/ajax air app version 1.5.1
    2) This air app embeds .swf files from an external source / web server & plays the embdded .swf inside air.
    3) The embedded .swf file has a button with an onClick event
    function onClick(event:MouseEvent):void {
    ExternalInterface.call("someJavascriptMethod()" );
    4) The javascript method to be called is already parsed inside the containing Air app and is waiting to be triggered.
    5) When the onClick is triggered, the following error is thrown.
    Error: Error #2067: The ExternalInterface is not available in this container. ExternalInterface requires Internet Explorer ActiveX,
    Firefox, Mozilla 1.7.5 and greater, or other browsers that support NPRuntime.
    at Error$/throwError()
    at flash.external::ExternalInterface$/call()
    at stress_fla::MainTimeline/onClick()
    6) On investigation I found on your livedoc's website that Air does not support the ExternalInterface.call method.
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/air/1/aslr/flash/external/ExternalInterface.html
    Look for Note: Adobe AIR currently does not support the ExternalInterface class.
    7) Does anyone here know how I can get an embbeded .swf file to call javascript methods in the containing air application? I have had a look at the getUrl method but this is now longer supported & even the FS command but still to no avail. I may have a work around by inserting a DOM element over the top of the embedded .swf but this is not an elegant solution & want the .swf to talk directly to the air app container.
    All help & comments welcome
    Thanks
    Kyle
    Additionally I have found
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappsflash/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ed4 .html
    Using the Html Loader so that Actionscript can call/manipulate the dom objects. At first I was whopee but then I tried the examples listed in the help. The HTMLLoader class is only available in Air. When trying to use import flash.html.HTMLLoader; Flash C4 complains that the Definition cannot be found on compile time & therefore does not export my movie correctly. Has anyone else had this problem or have a solution??
    More additions:
    The reason the htmlLoader class was not compiling was due to the source action script provided being ActionScript 2.0 - the htmlLoader class is a 3.0 library.
    However, after more investigation I have found the current structure.
    The air app has an html base/root doc. On periodic javascript events - .swf files are downloaded via
    videos = new air.Loader();
    netStream     = new air.URLRequest(path + file);
    videos.load(netStream);
    So now I have a html container in my air app that creates a new air.Loader which downloads the external .swf file in which I want an onClick event in the action Script of the downloaded .swf file to call a Javascript method of the parent air container. Simple yea?
    Or am I making life to hard for myself? Have been looking at the security snadboxes but I don't see how I can get the .swf file to talk nicely with the outer air container. Please help if able.
    Thanks
    Kyle

    Hi Kenneth,
    Your explanation makes sense.
    I have a big JavaScript file full of special mathematical functions written by a mathematician who only knows how to program in Javascript.
    I need to call the Javascript functions from within an ActionScript library, which obviously has no UI, and thus HTML and/or HTMLLoader are not an option.
    Any ideas?
    TIA,
    mlavie

  • Calling class from servlet gives 500

    I have a servlet that works fine by itself, and another class that works fine by itself. However, when I try to create a new instance of the class using the servlet and access a method in the class such as:
    Servlet code
    Object a = new Object()
    a.method
    the server returns 500.
    Is there some security aspect to calling classes from servlets that may be causing this?

    Thanks for the replies which have tracked the problem down.
    The Server log says:
    NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/driver/OracleDriver
    This class is needed by the class being called by the servlet.
    The missing class is in a jar file which is put on the classpath when running the class in a standalone environment. I don't know if it's possible to put this jar on the classpath in the Server environment.
    However a solution is to explode the jar file and put the exploded classes in the WEB-INF/classes of the Server. The only disadvantage is that they get wiped out every time I re-deploy the application war file.

    Hi,
    You have to have the report server
    a. Installed and configured
    b. Running.
    See
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_strt001.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_verify004.htm
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_conf003.htm#i1007341
    If you are using rwservlet then you will find the name from the Configuration file referred to in the last link.

    Can i get help on how I can successfully install the new google voice video chat software. I keep having an install error. My google voice phone always worked until a week ago when suddenly google would not let me call out from any browser until I installed their new google voice and video chat (made by vidyo) software. I was told by genius bar to install Yosemite, which I did. But that did not solve the problem. I removed macKeeper, as well, since a techie friend told me that could be the cause. Nothing so far has worked.  When the problem first happened, it seemed to only happen in Chrome. Google voice calling out worked fine in safari, for about a day or so. Now I cannot call out from any browser. I can, however receive calls, and make calls within the video hangout.
    I can be contacted directly if questions at gary at couplewise dot followed by the usual extensin

    You can only suspend service for 3 months at a time (with or without payment) and only twice a year.

    Hi
    I have started migration système to transfert from hold Macbook pro to New MacBook air
    Application starter successfully for several hours.
    But since more than 3 hours I got the message "transferring Time zone paramètres " with time left less than 1 minute.
    Any recommendation or suggestion to solve it ?
    Many tanks

    If it has run for 3 hours it's probably done and you can quit Migration Assistant and reboot the new computer. In the future rather than using Migration Assistant I would recommend using Startup Assistant which tends to be a bit more reliable and does not create a new user account as MA does. If  you're interested here is an article explaining Setup Assistant tips.

    Verify that you haven't also added a script reference in your HTML to the module. If you have it's likely that this code is being executed before the Bing Maps control is loaded.

  • Consuming SOAP services from AIR/HTML (JavaScript).

    Hi All.
    I am trying to consume SOAP web services from an AIR/HTML application for a research on AIR I am doing for my company, and I am having very little success.
    I am creating JavaScript clients using apache's cxf wsdl2js utility.
    When I try to use the client to call any web service I've tried, I always get an 'error 500' response.
    The web services work fine if i call them from other clients.
    Before trying cxf generated clients I googled a lot to see if there was a more native way of doing these calls from AIR, but found nothing. I don't see anything in documentation or the web about it.
    Am I the only one trying this?
    Could this be a cross-domain issue? I'm certainly hoping AIR apps don't have this issue.
    Any pointers as to how to succesfully consume SOAP services from AIR is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    In Visual Basic, you can set Network Credentials like this (assuming that you first declare Public CallWebService001 As New <WebReference>):
            ' Create a new instance of CredentialCache.
            Dim mycredentialCache As Net.CredentialCache = New Net.CredentialCache()
            ' Create a new instance of NetworkCredential using the client
            ' credentials.
            Dim credentials As Net.NetworkCredential = New Net.NetworkCredential(<username>, <password>)
            ' Add the NetworkCredential to the CredentialCache.
            mycredentialCache.Add(New Uri(CallWebService001.Url), "Basic", credentials)
            ' Add the CredentialCache to the proxy class credentials.
            CallWebService001.Credentials = mycredentialCache

  • Duplicate session error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with CF10

    We're getting the "duplicate session" error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with Coldfusion 10 Standard.
    faultCode:Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected faultString:'Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions,
    generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies.
    Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly.' faultDetail:'null'
    Have read most of the docs about this error -all to do with LCDS
    Notes:
    Not using LCDS,
    No Remote Calls from loaded Sub-Apps,
    No Errors from the Flex Web App which is pretty  much identical and calls the same cfcs.
    The error does not happen all the time and is hard to reproduce - say 5% of app sessions at a guess.
    Could it be a two first time remote calls hitting the server together before a session is set up?
    Our remoteObjects are in two places 1) Main Application.mxml and within a class compiled into the main app - can't see how this would be an issue.
    I enabled session management for the CFCs in Application.cfc but still occurs. Is this neccessary - it's not in any docs?
    Could this be something to do with the app not being shut down - as is typical with mobile users? When they resume use after a day or two surely a new session will be created?
    Please advise thank you.

    For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
    Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
    This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html  two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
    Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
    Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! )  caused the error when activated after a few hours.
    I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
    So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
    All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
    Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

    Hi. When you look at the code I provided for you in other thread you will see that connecting to adapter is done through JNDI lookup. The creation of the adapter is done in your J2EE server. Here is some code for you where you can find mapping from code to ejb-jar and orion-ejb-jar.

    Declare that a global transaction is required when the onMessage method of the ejb named

    global (XA) transaction before calling onMessage (actually, before even receiving the JMS
    message that triggers onMessage) and end the transaction after onMessage returns. The
    JMS Connector will automatically rollback the transaction if onMessage throws an
    exception. onMessage may also set the transaction to be "rollback only".
    Participating in global transactions requires that the connection factory provided in the
    activation spec (see the ConnectionFactoryJndiName property earlier in this file) must be
    XA-capable (it must implement the javax.jms.XAConnectionFactory interface).
    If this declaration is ommitted, then onMethod will not be part of any global

    implement the javax.jms.ConnectionFactory interface.

    <!--
    ListenerThreadMaxPollInterval (milliseconds, 5000)
    Listener threads "poll" to see if there is a message waiting to be processed.
    The more frequently this polling is performed, the faster (on average) a given
    listener thread can respond to a new message. The price for frequent polling is
    overhead - the resource provider must process a receive request each time it is
    polled.
    Oracle's JMS Connector implementation applies an adaptive algorithm which
    uses shorter polling intervals (high polling rates) during periods of activity
    (once activity is noticed) and longer polling intervals (lower polling rates)
    during periods of inactivity. The ListenerThreadMaxPollInterval property places
    an upper limit on the polling interval used by this adaptive algorithm.

    <!--
    AcknowledgeMode (string, default = Auto-acknowledge)
    This should be set to Auto-acknowledge or Dups-ok-acknowledge. This
    controls the quality-of-service provided by listener threads which
    consume messages and call the MDB's onMessage method.
    MessageSelector (string, default = no message filtering)
    This is the selector expression used to filter messages sent to the
    MDB's onMessage method. (I.e., this is used as the messageSelector for
    the JMS sessions created for the listener threads.)
    SubscriptionDurability (string, default = NonDurable)
    For topics this should be set to Durable or NonDurable. (This should
    not be set for queues.) This controls the durability of the topic
    consumer used by the listener thread. When SubscriptionDurability is
    set to Durable (and DestinationType is javax.jms.Topic or
    javax.jms.Destination), the SubscriptionName property is required.
    SubscriptionName (string, no default)
    This property is required when SubscriptionDurability is Durable (and
    DestinationType is javax.jms.Topic or javax.jms.Destination). (In all
    other cases it is ignored.) This is the name used when creating the
    durable subscriber used by the listener thread. For a given JMS server,
    a given subscription name should be assigned to at most one MDB (which
    must have most one listener thread).
    ClientId (string, no default)
    If set, connection(s) used by the listener threads will be set to use
    this client ID.
    TransactionTimeout (milliseconds, default = 300,000)
    This limits the amount of time that the JMS Connector will wait for a
    message to arrive before exiting the current transaction. The
    transaction manager limits the amount of time a transaction can last
    (see transaction-timeout in transaction-manager.xml).
    TransactionTimeout should be set such that the transaction manager will
    not timeout the transaction during the onMessage routine unless
    something is wrong. For example, If the transaction mananager timeout
    is set to 30 seconds, and the onMessage routine will never take more
    than 10 seconds unless something is wrong, then this property could be
    set to 20 seconds (20000 milliseconds).
    EndpointFailureRetryInterval (milliseconds, default = 60,000)
    If an endpoint can not be processed (due to the app server WorkManager
    not accepting new work), it will be scheduled to be retried this many
    milliseconds later.
    ReceiverThreads (integer, default = 1)
    This sets the maximum number of listener threads to create for this
    endpoint. For queues, using more than one thread may be useful in
    increasing the rate at which messages can be consumed. For topics this
    value should always be 1. (Each listener thread gets its own session
    and TopicSubscriber. For durable subscribers it would be an error to
    have more than one subscriber with the same subscription name. For
    nondurable subscribers having more than one thread will not help because
    more threads translates into more subscribers which translates into more
    copies of each message.) See also: ListenerThreadMinBusyDuration
    UseExceptionQueue (boolean, default = false)
    When "UseExceptionQueue" is true:
    - Messages that would otherwise be discarded are sent to the
    exception queue. (Currently the only case where this happens is
    when the max delivery count is exceeded. See MaxDeliveryCnt
    property.) Rather than sending the original message directly to
    the exception queue, the following procedure is used:
    o Create a new message of the same type.
    o Copy the properties and body from the original message to the
    new message.
    o If the headers were copied, sending the message to the
    exception queue would cause most of them to be lost
    (over-written by the resource-provider). So instead,
    translate headers in the original to properties in the copy,
    assigning each header obtained via "getJMS{Header}" to
    property "GJRA_CopyOfJMS{Header}". Since
    javax.jms.Destination is not a valid property type, translate
    destination headers into descriptive messages.
    (Currently this same service is not provided for JMSX*
    properties, most notably the JMSXDeliveryCount property.)
    o If some part of the copy process (above) or augmentation
    process (below) fails, do not abort. Attempt to complete the
    rest of the procedure. (For Bytes/Map/Stream message types,
    this can mean that part of the body is copied and the rest is
    not.)
    o If the copy process is 100% successful, add a boolean property
    called "GJRA_CopySuccessful" with the value "true".
    o Add a string property called "GJRA_DeliveryFailureReason" which
    indicates why the message was not delivered.
    o If the MDB onMessage method generated an exception immediately
    prior to the delivery failure, add a string property called
    "GJRA_onMessageExceptions" which contains exception information.
    o Send the resulting message to the exception queue.
    Note that only one attempt is made to send the message to the
    exception queue. Should this attempt fail, the message will
    be discarded without being placed in the exception queue.
    See IncludeBodiesInExceptionQueue property for potential variations
    of the above procedure.
    - The ExceptionQueueName property is required.
    - In addition to being used for the primary destination, the
    connection factory specified by the ConnectionFactoryJndiName
    property will also be used for the exception queue. If the primary
    destination (specified by the DestinationName property) is a topic,
    then the connection factory must support both queues and topics.
    (I.e., the <connectionfactory-interface> [see oc4j-ra.xml] for the
    given connection factory must be either javax.jms.ConnectionFactory
    or javax.jms.XAConnectionFactory.)
    ExceptionQueueName (string, no default)
    This is the JNDI location of the javax.jms.Queue object to use as the
    exception queue. (See UseExceptionQueue property for information about
    the use of the exception queue.) This property is required when
    UseExceptionQueue is true, and ignored when UseExceptionQueue is false.
    IncludeBodiesInExceptionQueue (boolean, default = true)
    This controls whether or not messages sent to the exception queue will
    include a message body. (See UseExceptionQueue property for information
    about the use of the exception queue.) If many messages are sent to the
    exception queue during normal operation and the message body is of no
    use in the exception queue, then this property may be set false to
    improve performance. This property is ignored when UseExceptionQueue is
    false. There are two cases where this property does not apply:
    - If the original message did not have a message body, then the
    message sent to the exception queue will not have one either.
    - If a copy of the original message can not be created for any
    reason, then the original may be sent to the exception queue
    instead. This may result in a message body being sent to the
    exception queue.
    MaxDeliveryCnt (integer, default = 5)
    If a message has the "JMSXDeliveryCount" property and the value of that
    property is greater than MaxDeliveryCnt, then the message will be
    discarded (and not sent to onMessage). If the exception queue is
    enabled (see UseExceptionQueue), a copy of the message will be sent to
    the exception queue. If MaxDeliveryCnt is set to 0, no messages will be
    discarded. (Note that when an MDB responds to a message by throwing an
    exception, the message is not considered delivered and it may be
    redelivered. If the MDB might always respond to a given message by
    throwing an exception, and MaxDeliveryCnt is set to 0 to prevent the
    message from ever being discarded, the result may be an MDB stuck in an
    "infinite loop" - failing to process the same message over and over
    again.)
    -->
    <config-property>
    <config-property-name>MaxDeliveryCnt</config-property-name>
    <config-property-value>0</config-property-value>
    </config-property>
    <!--
    LogLevel (string, no default)
    This controls the level of detail of messages logged by the JMS
    Connector. These messages are primarily intended for debugging the
    JMS Connector itself, but may also be useful when debugging issues
    related to the use of the JMS Connector. This property should not be
    set in production code. (It should only be set temporarily for
    debugging purposes - specific log messages and log levels may be and
    will be added/removed/modified in future versions of the JMS
    Connector.) Currently the allowed values are:
    ConnectionPool
    ConnectionOps
    TransactionalOps
    ListenerThreads
    INFO
    CONFIG
    FINE
    FINER
    FINEST
    SEVERE
    WARNING
    OFF
    ListenerThreadMaxIdleDuration (milliseconds, default = 300,000)
    This is how long a listener thread which is not receiving any messages
    will be kept around. (At least one listener thread will remain as long
    as the endpoint is active.)
    ListenerThreadMinBusyDuration (milliseconds, default = 10,000)
    If a listener thread has just received a message, has not been idle (had to
    wait for a new message to arrive) at any point during the past
    ListenerThreadMinBusyDuration milliseconds, and the current number of
    listener threads for this endpoint is less than ReceiverThreads, then
    (application server willing) an additional listener thread will be created.
    ResUser (string, default = null)
    ResPassword (string, default = null)
    These properties allow a user/password to be passed to the resource
    provider. When neither of these properties are set, connections used for
    this MDB's inbound message handling (as well as for exception queue
    handling, if enabled) are created using the no-argument version of the
    create*Connection method. When one or both of these properties are set,
    they are passed to the create*Connection method as the user/password
    arguments. (If only one property is not set, then 'null' is used for that
    particular create*Connection argument.) The ResPassword property supports
    the standard password indirection options (e.g., using "->joeuser" to
    represent the password of "joeuser").
    Note that the commas used in many of the above default values and examples are
    included here for readability but can not be used in the actual activation spec.
    (I.e., integer/milliseconds values in the activation spec must not include
    embedded commas.)

  • Calling ShowCursor from C++

    I'm working on a Java application that already embeds Flash, direct show video, and other native code. Since this application has the occasional need to be in a kiosk mode, I am attempting to find a way to hide the mouse cursor without having to modify every one of our native controls.
    I'm attempting to use JNI and have successfully created an example that can cause the system to beep and move the mouse cursor to 0,0 -- just to prove that my method is alive -- but the call to ShowCursor does nothing and I don't understand why.
    extern "C"
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_com_pvue_test_AthenaCursorControl_SetCursorVisible
    (JNIEnv *jenv, jclass theClass, jboolean isShown){
    int result = ShowCursor(isShown);
    //while (ShowCursor(FALSE) >= -1 ) ; //uncomment to just hide the cursor
    // Do these just to prove this method is alive
    SetCursorPos(0,0);
    MessageBeep(0x00000040L);
    return result;
    }I'm calling this from Java after the JFrame has been completely laid out and is visible. I'm a total Win32/C++ newbiew so I assume there must some some prerequisites to be able to have ShowCursor have any effect.

    Not helpful to send us somewhere else if you do not know the solution.

  • Contact name not showing in call/sms log even when I call/sms from my address book.

    Two things have changed on my phone recently.
    1. I ran the latest update 4.3.2
    2. My phone was not showing all the contacts in my address book that is in my Mobile Me account. Mobile me had 166 contacts. The iPhone 4 had 136. I I unchecked the syncing of my contacts on my phone. This removed all the contacts from my phone. Then I check the syncing options again. All 166 appeared on the phone.
    I'm not sure which of the two caused the issue but now anytime someone who calls their name does not appear on the display or log, just their number. I can even call people from my address book and the display shows that I am calling them with their name and photo on display. However, in the call log the name does not show just their number.  This applies for text messages. I send a message directly from within the contact card in the address book and in my text log it shows only the number and not the name.
    I've turned the phone off and on a couple of times.
    I would appreciate any advice.
    Cheers

    Thanks iraghib,
    In the end I reset my phone to factory settings. I created a back up of my address book and ical. Reset the phone and did a sync again. This fixed it all. I didn't need to use the backups but is was nice to know they were there. I felt entering the various passwords for all my installed apps was a much better deal than adding the international area code to the 166 contacts I have in my address book.
    Good luck. And thanks for the post.

  • Calling report from FORM - error Invalid value of paramente 'P_YEAR'

    Hi guys,
    Could you please help me to figure out what is going wrong
    with my form which run a report?
