Calling webservices in a method

Hi,
After import the WSDL, how i can invoke a webservice on my activity, do you can give a example?

Configure Webservice as External Reosurce in ALBPM studio.
Then use reference of the specified Webservice to invoke the webservice.
For example if you have the Webservice with reference name "EMPService" and method is "getEMPDetail()" then use below snippet to invoke WS.
EMPService.getEMPDetail()

I guess my problem might be that i'm calling a webservice that is secured since the url starts with https
what should i do to fix this ??

I understand, so i have a doubt, why the webservice works on jDeveloper ??Not just JDeveloper even soapUI and Neatbeans have a way of working without a client certificate installed.
I do not know how they achieve it. I know that they work without a client DC.

The java programs run unhindered when one-way authentication is being used. These products ship with a digital certificate that is in the path of most popular CAs.
Corollary, if the Web Server is configured for mutual authentication then you need to install and configure the client certificate in the tools.

Call webservice from PJC over https protocol

Hello!
I have problem calling webservice from PJC.
The webservice is on https server so I must declare the keystore and truststore...
I have generated java classes from wsdl file with SOPAUI and axis 1.0...
Then I have made a code which integrate axis library, jsee ...
On the client side all works fine (with jdk 1.3 compiler)
When I deploy it on oracle forms server and call it from oracle form I get the error:

Fault getting XML node when calling webservice

Please assist, I'm calling a webservice from SAP using a generated proxy and not going via XI. The webservice has 4 methods. Three of which make a successful call to the websrvice. When calling one of the methods, I get a SOAP fault. It does not say what the fault is.
On debugging I traced the fault to class CL_SOAP_MESSAGE_NEW method DESERIALIZE_HEADER_ NEW, at point " 4.1- ... and get method ". A method call is made to return the next XML node. This method executes a kernel module coded as "method IF_SXML_READER~NEXT_NODE
by kernel module fxkmsrd_next_node fail", and the method name returned is "FAULT", which then triggers a SOAP FAULT exception.
I do not know how to access this kernel module to trace the error. I need assitance in identifying why I'm getting a fault back. Please assist. Points will be awarded.

Thanks for this hint, Amar. But this points directly to my next problem: How can I set this parameter. I know how to set flat parameters (e.g. of type long, boolean, etc.). But how can I set a parameter of a complex type?
For example I can call
wdContext.currentSaveElement().setIdFather(long id)
in order to set the parameter idFather of type long for the WebService-method save(). But there is no method
wdContext.currentSaveElement().setIdFather(SoftwareKomponenteDTO aKomp)
Could you please help me on more time?

How do I call an Application Module method from a EntityImpl class?

Guys and Gals,
Using Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0.
I've got a price update form, that when submitted, takes the part numbers and prices in the form and updates the corresponding Parts' price in the Parts table. Anytime this Parts view object's ReplacementPrice attribute is changed, an application module method needs to be called which updates a whole slew of related view objects. I know you can modify view objects via associations (How do I call an Application Module method from a ViewObjectImpl class? but that's not what I'm trying to do. These AppModuleImpl methods are the hub for all price updates, as many different operations may affect related pricing (base price lists, price buckets, etc) and hence, call the updatePartPricing(key) method.
For some reason, the below code does not call / run / activate the application module's method. The AppModuleDataControl exists and recordPartHistory(key) is registered and public. At runtime, the am.<method> code is simply ignored, and as a weird side-effect, I cannot navigate out of my current page flow.

Turns out the code provided was correct, but the AppModuleImpl method being called was not. A dependent ViewObject wasn't returning the row I was expecting. I then tried to perform some operations on that row, which in turn ... just stopped everything, but didn't give me an error.
It was the lack of the error that threw me off. I had never messed with calling an AppModuleImpl method from the EntityImpl so I assumed that's what was messing up.
You are correct. It is available from the ViewRow, but I thought it better to put it in the EntityImpl. This method will be called every time the replacement cost is modified. If I didn't put it in the EntityImpl, I'd have to remember to call it every time a replacement cost changed.

I ve created a simple web service and consumed it in a model. Mapped the input & output parameters to custom controller context which in turn mapped to component controller's context which in turn to view's contexts.
How to call a custom controller method from view?

Give some idea for the below scenario:
I ve created a simple web service and consumed it in a model. What I did was
1) for the input parameters, mapped the node from view->custom controller->model
2)for the output parameter, mapping from model->custom controller->view.
It works fine.
But I don't want to access model nodes directly, rather I want to set the input param in somewhere else (like custom controller) before calling the appropriate method, same for the response also.
Share me your thoughts.

Error while calling WebService inside ISchedulerTask.

I have a requirement of calling webservice frequently. I developed a portal project with scheduler, where the application gives a runtime error while calling/reading the property file (which is generated during the webservice proxy generation, without it webservice call is impossible).
I have varified the ear file which contains all the required class files and config files including property file.

Calling a backing bean method after load of fragment in adf

I needed to call a backing bean method after page load of fragment in adf.
I used the method suggested in:

only difference is im giving the if clause as:
if (refreshFlag == RegionBinding.RENDER_MODEL ) {
instead of
if (refreshFlag == RegionBinding.PREPARE_MODEL)
It was working fine, but page was not getting refreshed so used the code as mentioned in example:

Now issue is once page is loaded and backing bean method is called, the refresh code refreshes the page and upon page load, refresh method is called again in recursive fashion.
please advise what to do in such scenario?
I tried to do selective refresh using some variable(also with static) but it does not help as page wont be refresh at all or page will keep refreshing recursively.

Calling a class's method from another class

Hi, i would like to know if it's possible to call a Class's method and get it's return from another Class. This first Class doesn't extend the second. I've got a Choice on this first class and depending on what is selected, i want to draw a image on the second class witch is a Panel extended. I put the control "if" on the paint() method of the second class witch is called from the first by the repaint() (first_class.repaint()) on itemStateChanged(). Thankx 4 your help. The error message implies that the web service is returning something that is not well formed xml. Can you verify what is being returned by the web service call

Calling a java static method from javascript

for the variable. I am wondering why I am getting null value in the second jsp page?.

Error in CALL TRANSACTION and SESSION Method

I have 8 records (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) to update into SAP database using CALL TRANSACTION and SESSION Method. If there is a error in 6th record. What happens in both call transaction and session method.
Please let me know which records will process and what about the error record. How to process only the error record if all other records have updated into database.

Would be easier (however not always possible), to determine the functionality of this method and call that in your program. I mean, normally this method calls a BAPI, or function module (or a transaction). Have a look at the coding inside of the method, and try and use this.

Your program prepares the data and then calls the corresponding transaction that is then processed immediately.
The most important features of CALL TRANSACTION USING are:

Transfer of data from an individual transaction each time the statement CALL TRANSACTION USING is called
You can update the database both synchronously and asynchronously
The program specifies the update type
Separate LUW (logical units of work) for the transaction
The system executes a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement

Create a session on the batch input queue.
Summary: Offers management of sessions, support for playing back and correcting sessions that contain errors, and detailed logging.
