Camera Access in Mobile Media API

Hi,
I've recently started working with the Mobile Media API; I'm trying to access the camera in mobile phones. Whilst I've been able to do this via the VideoControl class, access via VideoControl is not ideal, as I actually want to carry out some processing on the image before I display it. Can anyone give me an idea as to how to access the pixel data from the camera directly, rather than having to go through VideoControl.
I assume it is using DataSource and SourceStream, but as they are an abstract class and interface respectively I'm not quite sure where to go to get a useful instance.

The VideoControl class u r using is the best way because it encapsulates other funcitonalities like CreatePlayer ().As far as i know there is no way to acess camera pixels in CLDC and MIDP.Wel if u come to know about it please let me also know .

Playing a video using the Mobile Media API - JSR135

Hello to Everybody,
does anybody know the very exact video-format that a S60-Nokia-Phone
suppot ? I create a video-file with the Quick Time Video Player Version 7.0.3.
Following video-file-features :
Content Type is 3gpp - Release 5
Video-Format : H.263
Data-Rate : 64 kbps
Image-Sitze : 176 x 244 QCIF
Image-Rate : 10 Images per second
Key-Frame : All - 24 Images
When I invoke the "start-method of a Player-Instance" in my MIDlet on a
Nokia-S60-Emulator of the Nokia Prototype SDK 3.0 for J2ME I get the
following Exception :

Can anybody reproduce this error-message or does anybody encountered this error and know the solution ?
Maybe "QuickTime Video Player 7.0.3" is the wrong software to
create 3gpp-Videos ? Is there anything else advisable to produce 3gpp-videos ?

App menu > Premierepro > Keyboard Shortcuts...
Then inside the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, find: Application>Window>Markers and assign a shortcut. The only hard part is finding one not yet in use... you'll probably have to use shift/option/ctrl modifiers.

Java Speech API / Mobile Media API ?

Does anyone know whether its possible to use JSAPI or MMAPI in mobile phones currently in the market?
If it aint then I am really surprised because the sound manipulation possible is very useful.

From a Catherine to Katherine -- Had the exact same problem!! I had to enable Java twice - both in Safari and then on the MacBookAir itself.

Media API on Personal Profile

Hi,
I'm trying to write an appliation which uses the Camera on my PDA. I'm using IBM J9 on the PDA with Personal Profile, and my application uses lots of AWT widgets, so it's not possible to move to Midlets.
I was trying to add the MIDP library to my application to be able to access the camera. For some reason I can't do this, because J2ME applications can only use one profile. Is there anyways to add the Multi Media APIs to Personal Profile applications ?
Can anyone give me some advice on how to make this work ? or point me to an alternative way of accessing the camera on my PDA.

yes,..ive tried the mmapi with creme cdc vm and it works,...but,only for playing wav,..i dont know about video. coz my program isn't working top play video with it...

Access to office 365 api

Hi team,
i have been building up native applications and has access to Microsoft tenant in azure and there i have already the mobile application. Also i can add the webapi's to my application once when i went to configure tab and hit add on the bottom.
So from here i can add office 365 exchange online api and set the delegated permissions to required field.
Also i went through couple of articles and videos which shows how to get access to office 365 api.

As mentioned in video we add the connected service and it sign in to microsoft account and register the app.
Also add some client id to App.xaml . And when we went to tenant application page we can see the new registered app with a client id.
Please let me know if i already has the application in azure and i have added the office 365 exchange online api , then shall i need to do above steps or i can directly hit the api service Uri's.

Problem: The camera privacy control is now required by iOS 8 for all regions. With iOS 8 any application that use camera encountered with a dialog asking for permission.

But we cannot detect permission for camera access by AIR.
StatusEvent event not firing by AIR: "Note: This event is not dispatched on the AIR platform. It is used only in Flash Player."

So, if user don't allow use camera our application even cannot detect that. It could make application useless. Also it could cause problems with our applications in AppStore.
Please consider to provide some way to handle camera access. It could be StatusEvent like with Flash Player.

FS 1400 plan/ access to mobile web

I have the Family/Shared Plan nation wide 1400, and I have read that it include access to Mobile web.
Does Mobile Web include?
Mobile Email?
Mobile Web in Media Center?
VZ Navigator?
If it does, does it still have to payed as toward to the Data sent or received (incl. Mobile Web advertising) is $1.99/MB?
Because the two features seems to be the same yet different.
I have a Samsung Intensity, with access to mobile web, would I still have to pay the bill of using MB for the mobile web or does it count to the Family Shared Plan of 1400?

No plan offered currently by verizon offers access to the mobile web without the 1.99 charge per mb usage. there are some premium and connect plans that are grandfathered but are no longer available but they were expensive anyways.
Heres a great breakdown for you to decide from:
      The best value is an unlimited data plan for 29.99 a month which will allow unlm access to the internet for one price. It grants you access to mobile web, media center, anything needing internet you could think of on a phone.
      The next plan available (which sounds like would suit you) is the $15 - 150mb data plan. If you are using emails and not really going on hardcore surfing all day every day then this will work out perfect for you. Also with this plan you will want to keep an eye on your data usage just to be on the safe side by dialing #data or #3282 which will tell you how many mb you have currently used for the month. The reason I bring this up is cause the way this plan works is that your not billed for overage after your 150 allowance, as soon as you hit 150.01 or higher mbs you get hit with another $15 for every 150 mbs used. Now dont get me wrong 150 mb is ALOT of usage and an amazing value for your dollar.
    The last plan available is the pay as you go mb. This plan is !.99 per mb you use, and if you are going to use it for checking your emails you will also be required to fave the $5.00 mobile email feature which is free with the other data plans. Now breaking this out, if you have the $5 moblie email plan and use only 5mb stretched out throughout a full month you are already going to be at the $15 data plan.
    So I hope this clears any questions you have about data charges and usage.

Camera access delay

Hi,
camera API worked fine in viewer but there's a bug in application downloaded from store. Camera access alert appears with big delay! Users have to skip the article with no result and get the alert several articles later. I've tested it on six devices (from iPad2 to iPad Air) and the feature worked promptly on two of them (4th and Air). It doesn't work at all in DPS Tips app (iPad 3)!
Sure the needed checkbox is active. Folio version is 28.

Why do I keep getting this 500: Server Error [20-0004] when trying to access Bell mobility?

When trying to access Bell Mobility account I get 500: Server Error [20-0004]. Is this a problem with my mac or their server?
