Campaign Reference in Lead

Hi,
How to determine the campaign in the following process:
1. Create Campaign --> Assign Target Group --> Release Campaign --> TGrp to Channel (Phone) --> Call List is generated.
2. Call List activated and assigned to IC Agents --> IC Agents contacts prospect and creates Lead.
Now how the campaign Id will be referenced in the Lead that is created for the prospect in the call list (generated from campaign).
Can we automatically determined the Campaign Id in the lead or or do we need to manually search and assign the campaign id.
Note: I have assigned the object reference profile to the lead transaction we are using.

integrate this lead into campiagn
specify communication media (communication strategies consisting of one or more different media) by which you intend to contact business partners within a marketing campaign. You enter the communication medium in the Marketing Planner. The attributes of each communication medium can be transferred to the Business Information Warehouse for evaluation.
Each communication medium consists of one or more communication methods together with a priority that you assign to a communication method.
If you want to trigger business transactions (activities for example) on the same screen, assign a business transaction type (defined in customizing) to the relevant communication method.
Procedure
1.     Access the activity using the following navigation options:
Transaction code     SPRO
SAP CRM IMG menu     Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Marketing Planning and Campaign Management  Campaign Execution  Define Communication Medium
2.     Choose New Entries in order to create a new communication medium with the following data:
Field name     User action and values
Medium     Y003
Communication Medium     EN: Lead Generation
DE: Leadgenerierung
3.     Choose view Communication Methods and Transaction Types and enter the following data:
Field name     User action and values
Priority     1
Communication Method     Generate Lead
Transaction Type     YLD
Result
You have created a new communication channel for lead generation that generates marketing leads in parallel to lead generation itself.

    Campaign automation can definitely support the first point... but I'm not clear on what you are trying to achieve with point #2.
    Can you please provide additional details on the process you are looking to support and what you are trying to achieve in that second point (lead update). i.e. where is the lead update data coming from?

  • Restriction of Campaign's in Lead Transaction Screen in IC Role.

    Hello,
    I am working on a CRM Web Ui project where we create campaigns in the marketing role, when creating the campaign we do have the tab products where the user will enter the product id, the category id which is assigned to it will get defaulted, my requirement is that when the user enter's this category id in the lead transaction in the interaction centre role, only campaigns pertaining to that  particular product or category should be visible in the dropdown when creating the lead.
    I also understand that this is a technical requirement and can be done through a user exit, appreciate if anyone knows about this user exit and what code needs to be written in the same, since I do not have any Web Ui technical folks to help.

    Hi,
    The easiest is to not show the version number characteristic.
    Create the layout as follows:
    'CustGp', 'Biz_Unit', 'sales_Area', 'Prdct_Div', 'Billing2006', 'Target_2007 A10', 'Target_2007 B10', 'Target_2007 A10'.
    S1, B1, SA1, Div1, 4500, 5000, 6000, ____ .
    From a user point of view, this layout is more intuitive.
    After all, why should the billing be shown 3 times.
    You could even show the difference between target A10 and target B10 to make it easier for the user to fill column Z10.
    You can achieve this by putting the version in the 'data columns' on the first screen of your layout and then create several lines in the 'data columns' tab and enter the correct version (A10, B10, Z10) in the different lines.
    You will also need a line for billing and will be obliged to assign a version. Billing generally has no version so enter '#' not assigned.

  • Generating Leads from Campaigns

    Our business wants to establish campaigns and then generate leads to assign to service technicans to followup with customers. I understand how through relationships to make leads carry the campaign, but wanted to know if there is a program similar to CRMD_MKT_PROC (create transactions without campaign reference) that would allow you to create leads from a campaign.
    Should the approach be to copy this standard program and modify it, or are there alternative approaches functionality from within campaigns themselves?

    This is an example of how to create leads within campaigns.
    Unique TV, a television manufacturer, introduces a flat television model, Unique Flat Century, and decides to run an e-mail campaign just before the summer Olympics. The target group consists of business partners who had purchased any product of the umbrella organization, Unique Enterprises, in the last five years. About 25,311 business partners qualify. 
    The e-mail campaign is executed in two steps. In the first step, e-mails containing some information about the flat TV are sent out to all 25,311 business partners. Each e-mail also contains a link to a survey, which includes the question: “Would you like to receive any further information on Unique Flat Century?“ All those who respond positively to this original e-mail qualify for the second step of the campaign.
    In the second step of the campaign, Unique TV uses the process of campaign automation to automatically generate leads for all business partners who responded positively in the first step of the campaign.
    I think the above Example will give brief idea, how to create the leads from campaign.
    create a campaign and two campaign elements, from the  campaign  F5 or Campaign automation button, campaign automation screen will open and there you can define ur condtions and assign the workflows to create a leads to campaign elements.

    I have executed a campaign and Leads are created for all partners from my segment but the product’s tab in Lead is empty. Does anyone know how to transfer the product from a campaign to a lead?

    I am not a guru but i hope i can help you out.
    I work with SAP CRM IDES 5.0 and i managed to transfer the products from the campaign to the Leads.
    The steps i followed are:
    1.    Create a campaign with name and description.
    2.    Save
    3.    Right click on the campaign and select Create --> Campaign Element
    4.    Enter the name, description
    Tab BASIC DATA
    5.    Plan start date and plan end date (If you want the dates to be transfered as well)
    6.    Choose TYPE : "Y002 PRODUCT PROMOTION"
    Tab CHANNELS
    7.    Choose Communication Medium : "LEAD LEAD GENERATION"
    Tab SEGMENTS
    8.    Enter the target group you are interested to.
    Tab Products
    9.    Enter the product
    10.  Save
    Tab BASIC DATA
    11.  Change campaign element status to released
    Tab SEGMENTS
    12.  Press Functions button next to target group.
    Application menu bar
    Extras --> Target group to channel.
    13. Set the parametres for the scheduling
    With these steps when the campaign element and not the campaign will be executed it will create the Leads and it will also transfer the dates and the product.

    What part of the Javadoc didn't you understand?
    BTW circular references do not belong with the others. A doubly linked list is an example of a set of circular references: there is a chain of references that leads back to the starting point. This is also known as a cyclic graph.

    Choose CRM->Marketing ->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management
    In here, please expand the node 'Partner Processing'. There is IMG documentation help available on how to set up PDP.

  • How to display results set of multiple reports into a single report table

    Our goal is to create a single report (or dashboard) that shows the "funnel" of object creations related to each campaign. The flow goes from Activity to Lead to Opportunity as well as multiple steps within each (ie. Unqualified Lead -> Qualified Lead, etc).
    We currently have 3 separate reports in three different subject areas, each reporting the different metrics and we would like to combine the output into a single Unified report.
    For example what we currently have is:
    Activities:
    Campaign Name # of Activities
    Campaign A 12
    Campaign B 26
    Leads:
    Campaign Name # of Leads # of Qualified Leads
    Campaign A 10 4
    Campaign B 20 18
    Opportunities:

    What we want to see is:

    We have tried using the "Combine with similar analysis" but the number of columns for each subject area differ. We also tried creating multiple UNION criteria (one for each column), but in the case of # of Opps per Sales Stage and Closed Revenue, those are not "Metrics" fields, so they won't combine.

    Hi, You may have to create some dummy fields to equate the no. of field in each of the report matching the data type too and get a one single report using combined analytics and then using the resultant data you can create a simple pivot like below. Haven't tried it before

    I was wondering If I need as big of a external hard drive as my computer to back it up. Can I chose to back up everything but applications? I also Have my itunes and iPhoto library mapped on and external hard drive. Can I Back those up too? One more thing. Can I store stuff on the same hard drive that backs my computer up if it has enough room?

    Please don't be like someone we both know very well and telling me what I HAVE TO remember and what I DO NOT have to use etc.
    Going back in the past is a feature, it's even more than a feature, it's almost the main reason to use TM imo, as otherwise there already are some other backup utilities available that work very well.
    It's very fine by me how you use TM, so that you don't need a huge HD (or several) because you care only of the current state of your files.
    But please, do not begin a kind of campaign that may lead Mac users in general, to more and more neglect the time part of TM, using only the backup part, until Developers more or less begin to stop developing this part as "commonly useless".
    Time Machine is MORE than just another backup utility.
    Please do not influence in a sense where it would become less than what it is.
    Enhancements ideas already:
    We need it to be able to split its folder (automatically or manually), so we can assign it several separate drives where it manages to room its thing.
    Because HDs are eventually going to die, backing up on several drives (not one huge one) is a better way, but TM must be able to recover even if one of the drives is missing.
    See, this kind of evolution concerning time aspects, that may be neglected if we begin to set everyone's mind to the "just another backup tool" mode?

  • Business Catalyst changes for the worst

    I just have to say that I am getting really frustrated with the changes going on with Business Catalyst at the moment. Here are a few things I am finding really frustrating. Does anyone else feel the same?
    What happened to the www.businesscatalyst.com site. It now redirects to a section within Adobe site. In my opinion  this new sub site is a usability nightmare, especially when trying to find out pricing.
    There are no clear links to  forums and support on this new sub site.
    There are so many broken links in the support site. Much of the useful content I used to reference constantly leads to broken links.
    Why have many of my sites automatically been switched to the V3 Preview. I also feel that V3 Preview a massive move in the wrong direction. Sure it looks pretty mut many of the useful cross links have disapeared such as links to the Advance Layout Customization whilst in a web app or catalog.
    My main frustration is with the support site. Come on Business Catalyst, why have you made something that was working fine into something that is almost ususable.

    Well good look in other systems such as wordpres then, I think folowing your comments you will find similar and different issues along the same stuff if these things are causing you problems.
    Change can be jarring for some and some adopt faster then others. Things are not perfect yet but with every release there is a big list of UI improvments with the new interface design. It also sets in place the framework interface design for all the new features being worked on.
    Web apps wont stay as they are and a new web app system with more controls, more options will be included and how it has been seperated in the interace has that line in mind.
    I think the left hand menu system is one of the more polished elements and I find it works very well, Top elements of pages, definition of buttons, and some links and things (some added in the last update) have been needed and People have commnted on say getSatisifaction and BC have listened and rolled out the changes.
    I do not think having just a general rant blast is any way constructive at all and I have to say, bar the tweaks needed your sadly in the minority with your views on it.
    But as with anything, if you feel this is not for you, find something that is. Good look though. I have used Many current CMS's out there and bar the small ones that lack functionality but have awesome UI design, Joomla, Wordpress, not exactly the best things in the world when you use them. Big Commerce is quite nice but has the same issues as the old BC UI and like...
    Blog is on the main site, town hall stuff is on the blog.
    In terms of the support changes, they are not good, I myself am trying to push on getting things improved as others in the comminty

  • Passing collection or array to function: shallow copy or not?

    Hello all,
    When passing a collection or an array to a function, what is most used practice to store the given collection in some class member field: reference-copy or a shallow copy?
    I believe it's frustrating to see that there is no real 'standard' about this: some developers copy the whole collection/array, others prefer to simply copy the reference. I tend to agree with the latter group:
    - it's the user's responsibility if he wants the class to use a copied version instead of the 'original' version of the collection/array.
    - most of the times, a copy is not needed, and therefor a shallow copy is pure waste of resources.
    - when nothing is known about the given collection, and there are also no restrictions on the collection to be given, it could be everything: ArrayList? HashSet? SortedSet? AnUnknownImplementation?

    basically, it's how much access you want to provides.
    public SomeClass(ArrayList list) { this.list = list; }to me, if some other class has a reference to the list object and start modifying it..Someclass internal data (the list) is also modified...thus breaking encapsulation.
    yes, in multithread enviroment, sharing the list(by reference can lead to some hard bug to debug), so it;s much safer to copy (clone) the list. Java does this and provides you the MultiCaster class to make thing easier for you.
    even with synchronization, there are issues you have to look at (such as deadlock)..you can synchronize the list, but can still run into a dead lock
    list is synchronized in class A
    class B have object (that's in list and call the list (wait due to class A synchronization)
    list tries to invoke method of class B, but wait (class B is lock)..thus..deadlock.
    it's a crued exapmle..but i think you get the point.
    the saying is that to make a safer application..declare all you object immutable or restrict access to your private data. Of course, performance wise, we have to comprise sometime.
    example..a list with over 500,000 objects..you might not want to to clone the reference.
