Can a sprite be an array?
i declared Sprite[ ] sprite (at netbeans) and it didn't throw any errors. i'm just wondering, can a sprite be an array?
The line Sprite[] sprite means "let there be a variable named sprite which stores an array of Sprite objects". You could've named it Sprite[] bob, or Sprite[] numbers, or Sprite[] sprites, and it would make no difference. You can choose whatever names you want for your variables.

How can I create multi-dimensional arrays of controls?
I'm building a VI that will have hundreds of on/off buttons, 24 on each of 8 tabs. I can deal with them programmatically in an array, like this:
and then find which one was pushed with some XOR'ing:
But what if I want two rows of 12 buttons? Can I make a 2D array of buttons somehow? Or a 1D array of buttons on two rows for cosmetic reasons?
What if I want to put 24 buttons on each of 8 tabs? Can I make a 24x8 array of controls somehow? Or a 12x2x8?

I would strongly recommend to replace the XOR with a not equal. Same outcome, but less nerdy. It is also much more universal! For example if you ever need to do this on an array of numerics to see which element got changed (I often do!), the XOR will no longer work as well (with integers, you'll end up with bitwise comparisons and numeric results, and with DBLs you'll end up with coercions and unpredictable results because bits are lost).

You can look at the on timeOut event. (This is not to be confused with timeOut objects)
There are a number of related properties, which date back from the early days of Director, and which seem to have been omitted from recent versions of the documentation, even though they still function. I give them here with their original names (prior to Director 10):

Here's a very simple script which will make sprite 1 disappear when the movie starts, and reappear if the user does nothing for 5 seconds:

sprite(1).visible = TRUE

If you click the mouse at intervals of less than 5 seconds after starting the movie, then the sprite will remain invisible.
NOTE: Using sprite(x).visible = FALSE will make the entire sprite channel invisible everywhere in the Score. It's better to use sprite(x).blend = 0, unless the sprite must not react to the mouse while it is invisble, in which case it is better to move it off-stage.

NetBeans MobilityPack 5 BUG?? how can I send a byte array?
I�ve created a WebApp and a Simple servlet with one public method.

Then I've used "Mobile To Web App" wizard to generate stubs to that getStr method. And when I�ve tried to call that getStr method:

I've got an error at Server in Utility.java in generated ReadArray method.

At this line "in.readFully(data);" I�ve got an EOFException.
The the aByte = "st".getBytes(); was 2bytes long and at the server "int length = in.readInt();" it was 363273. Why?
All code was generated by NetBeans Mobility pack 5 it's not mine so its a bug?

I can write a data array(2D)into a table of my SQL Server Database. The data array was writen to a column with image type. I know a data array is transformed a binary string when writing into database, but I dont know how to get the data array when I fetch the binary string from database.
My question is:
How to transform the binary string into data array? which vi's should I use? I have tried unflatten from string but failed.
Any response is appriciated.

In order to use Unflatten from string you first need to Flatten it
before writing it. Also depending on the database driver, the returned
data may actually not be binary but Hexadecimal encoded ASCII which you
would first have to decode to binray.

I would like to find an efficient way to convert an array of 8192 U32 into a single binary string!!!
the solution below last 550 ms on an RT target to convert 8192 U32.
The same code running on Labview (not RT) last 100ms. I don't understand why there is such a difference.
I've tryed to replace the inner loop and convert by a format string whith U32 on entry and %032b as parameter but it lasted same time.

You can't link to a picture that's on your computer, as a server on the internet cannot access your computer to display the picture for others to see. You have to upload the picture as an attachment. Then, if you want to actually display the picture in the message you have to edit your post, insert a picture, and when it asks for the URL you enter the URL of the picture. You can get the URL when viewing the message, as the link is within the message itself.
As for your question, can you just use the TypeCast function? -
How can I generate a component array using JBuilder?

They do not support buffered outputs.
Your update rate (how often you can set the port and clear it) is going to be limited by how fast (a-hem slow) windows will let you iterate,
and,
be non-determinstic.
You could use,
1) LV RT with the existing board, or
2) FieldPoint PWM module, or
3) Arbitrary waveform generators, or
4) HS DIO board, or
5) use the analog output of your baord where you que-up a 0 -5V waveform of the proper shape (i.e. make sure that the duty cylce fraction of the update values are high, the rest low).
This is just to get a PWM signal out.
Now there is another issue. Determinism. How often do you plan on reading your inputs and making a change to you
r PWM? If you plan on doing more often that 10/second, write your code to handle windows going out to la-la land when you expect it to be working.
Can you tell I like LV-RT.

Is there a null value that I can put into a byte array?
I have a byte[] that I'm trying to make smaller, at the moment, in order to do so, i'm writing it byte-by-byte to another byte[] called temp. Both are set to the same size, because I don't know exactly what the initial array will compress to.
For example, my method will write a single byte that will tell the decompressor to carry out the next instruction 5 times (eg aaaaa = 5a), but after the instruction, I want to set the 4 a's afterwards to an empty value so that I can then iterate through temp, finding out how long to make the output byte[] by counting how many null's there are.
Eclipse is telling me null is not possible to use, I was just wondering if there is an equivalent I can use?That's an idea!
The only thing is then when I come to iterate through the byte array to write it to my output array, it throws up an error that I'm trying to compare a byte to a byte[]:

I develope a porgramm for continious monitoring. If the voltage of a channel exceeds or is lower than the upper or lower limit of tolerance the actual date must be stored and additionally the dates being stored 10sec before and after this event. Can somebody give some advice how to create the buffer to keep the dates 10s before the error event? Thank U.
I've written you a quick array buffer vi. I'm not sure if it'll be fast enough though.. Try it and see! I've used the loop numbers in my array, but i'm sure you can feed in the dates instead.

How can i combine a string array with a waveform array and write this to a file.
I am trying to set my VI up so that I can enter test information (notes to myself) and combine that with the time and date then write this as well as the waveform data from the daq to a spreadsheet file. I am sure this is a simple task but I am new to LabView so any help would be very appreciated.
An XML file is not a spreadsheet-formatted file, so that's not likely to help...
Simply call the Write To Spreadsheet File twice. The first time you wire in a 1D array of strings
which is your test information. Then, you call it when you're writing out
your data. Make sure you wire a True constant to the "append" input for
that function. -
I want to build/append to an array. Let's say the length is defined at 10 elements. When the 11th element comes in I want the first element to be kicked out so that the array always has the most recent 10 elements in it in order. the arrays should look like this:
{0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9}
{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10}
{2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11}
etc.

Can java quickly produce an array with specified values?
In Fortran I can quickly generate an array by typing
Dimension SMF(20,2)
DATA SMF/25*1.,3*0.,9*1.,3*0./
this creates SMF with the value 1 in allocations 1 to 25, 0 in 26 to 27 and so on .
Is there a way for java to do this ?Not necessarily. Maybe you can write a general Matrix type (an interface) and then write an implementation of Matrix in which its values are specified by an algorithm. So maybe your code would have lines like:
Matrix m1 = new InitWithHardcodedValuesMatrix("{ { 1 2 } { 3 4 }}");
Matrix m2 = new InitWithFormulaMatrix("/25*1.,3*0.,9*1.,3*0./");Or maybe someone has already done this. Have you tried Google?
Anyway, the primary purpose of Java is not formula translation, so it's not surprising that it doesn't have this kind of thing built into the standard libraries.
