JHeadstart 10.1.2 app on 9.0.4 server?

Hi,
I am just getting started with JDev. I seem to remember a rumor a few months back about a patch for JHeadstart 10.1.2 that will allow apps to run on a 9.0.4 server. I think it was something about the intermedia libraries.
Is this for real, or did I just imagine it? I can't find a reference to it anywhere. I did find reference to a server side fix of sorts but that is not what I am after.

We are running a JHeadstart (10.1.2.19) application on the 10gAS (9.0.4). In order to do so you have to copy some libraries to the server:
1 - ADF Runtime

Just created and hit F5 to run in my base machine, but getting this error

Hi Harminder,
This happens because an app has already been deployed and you are deploying it again using the same version.
Resolution:
Open the AppManifest.xml file and change the version.

I have a customer running a provider hosted app and in Sharepoint 2013. Things have been working fine but recently they keep experiencing an issue where the all the app parts on the page show the following error message. Does anyone have an idea what

I have checked the Sharepoint site using Fiddler and my X-SharePointHealthScore stays consistently on 1, I have even refreshed the site and had the "(429) Too Many Requests" error happen right in front of me whilst Fiddler is running and when I look at the
200 response for the Sharepoint site it is still showing "X-SharePointHealthScore: 1".
I assume because of this I do not need to make any of the changes suggested in your article above?
I have also been through the ULS logs and found the following 3 log entries that appear to relate to the issue but they do not really mean much to me so I am hoping that you can help:

We recently upgraded from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.
The links that used OWA Web parts have completely stopped working and generate the " :( something went wrong contact your help desk" screen for domain Authenticated users other than myself. The links accessed content of a Shared Account of which
I am an owner and can set the necessary permissions using the Outlook 2013 client.
Using the example from the link provided below we were able to provide calendar access to all authenticated users in our area. The link for calendar still works for me but for noone else. Additionally, all navigation menus are missing when I use this link.

Another crafted link provided web access to our group's task list. This has completely stopped working for anyone including myself. However, when I use "open another mailbox" I am able to navigate to the needed pages.

What I'm trying to acomplish is something similar to our old URL (Exchange 2010) in Office 365:

The best I can do in Office 365 is this:

Well, looking in the App Store, there are a number of different Finding Nemo apps, so I'm not sure which one you are referring to. However, since this is a 3rd party app, I suggest that you contact their support to check.
If everything else on your phone is working properly as far as data is concerned, such as email or Safari Internet access, then the app support should be able to help you.

Apps and OS X MDM Server

Hi, I'm pushing out apps to my ipads with MDM server, so I download the free apps with itunes on the server with my server apple id and password.
I then push the apps out to the ipads. when the student tries to open the app he is prompted for apple id and password and nothing happens, but I can open the app on the same ipad with the id that was used to download it from itunes. I don't want to tell

I read about this procedure, but I haven't tried it.
Prehaps the setting on the ipad is causing the password prompt. "something about adding applications."
Setup two or more profiles on your server. One for student. Second for administration with no restritions.
Send out the administration profile to remove restrictions on device. Do your updates. Send out student profile to enforce restrictions.

Mail.app supports accessing to Exchange Server through WebDAV OWA

I have been reading many threads from both here and Microsoft in order to get my mail.app work with my Exchange Server via WebDAV and/ or OWA.
My case is that I am fine with Entourage but not mail.app.
Something a few of us may miss is that Mail.app automatically amend the field "Outlook Web Access Server" to something like mail.myserver.com regardless of what you type, as in most cases the correct address is mail.myserver.com/exchange
So I am digging into my ~/Library/Application Support/Mail and try to find where exactly mail.app store the Account Information but I came out with no luck.
Can someone guide me through where is the setting stored because I think forcefully change that "auto change" Outlook Web Access Server address may well fix the problem many of us face.

With 10.5 and Mail 3.0, any luck for this topic?

Installing App-V 5.0 Management Server

I'm attempting to install the App-V 5.0 Management Server and DB on a 2012 R2 VM, and I'm running into an interesting issue. The local SQL server, as well as the required .NET/IIS roles, have been installed already. When I launch the installer, I get
to the "Management Server Configuration" screen without issue.
Upon filling in the admin account, as well as the site name/port, I'm getting an "Active Directory information could not be retrieved. Please refer to the logs at [user_temp_path] for more information" error. Upon opening the App-V install
logs, I don't see any new information:
AppvUX: Active Directory information could not be retrieved. Please refer to the logs at [user_temp_path] for more information.
AppvUX: The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist.
There is also nothing of use in the Event Logs. I've also googled these error snippets for a day or two without finding anything helpful.
I initially thought it was a permission issue, but the account I'm using to install has full administrative privileges on the server, as well as read access to all of Active Directory, so I'm not entirely sure that's the case. Just to make sure that it wasn't
a machine-specific problem, I tested access to AD via both AdFind as well as using the ADUC snapin. I don't seem to have any issue querying AD from this box, EXCEPT for through the App-V installer.
For completeness' sake, since App-V 5.0, supports Server 2008 R2 and up, I also tested this on a 2008 R2 and vanilla 2012 VM -- same error at the same point. At this juncture I'm fairly perplexed as to what the underlying issue is.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Though I'm not sure if it reall would solve that issue, you could try to use my App_V SQL prep script from http://kirxblog.wordpress.com/2013/12/30/remote-db-for-app-v-5-revised/
It would allow you to specify a group that should get 'full' access to the App-V database, and you could add your installing user and the App-V server's
computer account to that group. (don't forget to restart the App-V server after adding it to the group).

How to Fool Server.app to Keep from Installing Server Software?

Short of needlessly installing the OS X Server 10.8 software on a management-only client, is there a way to "fool" Server.app into thinking that the server software is installed, so that it proceeds directly to the "Choose a Mac" dialog? How, precisely, does Server.app determine whether the server software is already installed?

Strontium90, thanks for the suggestion. I finally got it to work. I performed the copy FROM the workstation, instead of FROM the Server. I made the Server Applications folder a shared folder temporarily so that I could access it FROM the workstation and copied the Server App from the Finder window at the workstation. I think I may have an issue with the Admin account I am using. I created this Admin account locally in the workstation and then created a network account in the Server with the same short name and password as the local Admin account thinking that the local machine would recognize that network account as the "same" local admin account. I guess it doesn't work that way.

Lots of people are doing this. Can you surf the web on your intranet? You should be able to buy then. You may need to open some ports on your intranet to allow the app store app.

Web Service Client(Console App) not working on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition

I am trying to consume an ASMX Web Service in a console app, its working fine in Windows 7,Windows Server 2012 Standard,Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter,Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, But its not working in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition which
is the deployment server.
I tried consuming the ASMX web service using Web Reference and Service Reference as well but its not helping. Its throwing up the following error,
Message:There is an error in XML document (1, 331491).
Inner Exception : System.Xml.XmlException: '.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 331491.
The scenario is that i call the web service and it returns me an XML i am not able to receive the XML on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.
Please provide suggestions on this I need to resolve this ASAP.
