Can anonymous user take part in campaign?

Question

Hi all,
I would like to show a campaign for users that doesn't login to portal.
But it seems that if I use "It is after a given date" condition in the
campaign. The campaign will not display the searched image to web, and I
try to use user profile properties for checking, which will work in
content selector only but not for campaign.

Suggestions:
1. Make sure you have an Event firing which would trigger the campaign.
(DisplayContentEvents do not trigger campaigns, although
DisplayCampaignEvents and clicks event should). Just putting a "The Date
is after..." clause in a rule won't cause the campaign to magically fire
after that date; you need to have an event from a user be fired (see

2. Make sure the start and stop date are big enough (in IDE and/or
adminportal).
3. Make sure the campaign active (in IDE and/or adminportal).
4. If you're using campaign goals, make sure those haven't been reached
or clear them out.
5. Turn on debug for campaigns and see what's going on. Create a file
debug.properties file in the directory where the server starts
(typically the domain directory), and put in:
usePackageNames=true
com.bea.campaign: on
Restart the server and do whatever you need to do to trigger the
campaign. Debug messages should get printed to the server console window
if the campaign service is being triggered.

In 8.1, the answer is yes. Campaigns can operate against tracked
anonymous users (see the Enabling Anonymous User Tracking section of

but not against fully anonymous users.
Segments and selectors (i.e. <pz:div> and <pz:contentSelector>) work
against any type of user.
