Can anyone advise on how to recover deleted folders?

Someone in our home accidently trashed a folder and we are looking for a utility to recover the files (un erase).,
We used DATA RESCUE II but when this program recovers the files it re names them in a numeral sequence which is hard to use when application recall documents by there names., so we like to recover the deleted trashed files in there original folder sequences.
Can anyone advise on what application can recover the files erased in the trash and restore them in the state as they where with original names and all?

You say that when you delete a file and then empty the trash it is wiped off the planet, I recently flew in to a rage that I couldn't down load a different version of quick time, because a newer version was already installed, so I started ditching all the quicktime files spotlight revealed for me
But getting the same notification, as I was emptying the trash, all of the sudden my desk top, Finder ,desktop hard drive icon disappeared and half my applications stopped working , it was System/Library/Frameworks/Quicktime. framework/Versions/A/Quick time Referenced from:/Applications iPhoto. App/content blah blah blah for each non working application, and right away I knew I was up ***** creek,
I am able to view all that I used to see in the finder by either opening a new email and adding an attachment and looking through my computer while I am browsing , Omni disk sweep, shows that some of these system files are still in the trash, but I cant access the trash except to delete them through disk sweep,
Are these the ******* that are keeping a different Quicktime version from opening , My thought was to retrieve them from the trash using a fire wire connection to my iMac and trying to put them back, other wise ill back up using target disk mode, and just do the **** archive and install, if not erase and install
