But you are doing neither - learning, or doing, you are just asking someone else to do it for you.
If you were asking how to do it, that's one thing, but asking for someone else to do it for you is a little... well, hence my response.
If you want to convert an instrument with dedicated patch handling to Logic's settings, then you have to, one by one, save each patch as a Logic settings file.
There is no shortcut, it's a long a tedious process - and yes, I have done this for some of my synths.
No one's going to do it for you, I'm afraid...

You are reading the file line by line.
But you are not "creating a string of the whole file with '\n' and everything".
The simple way to do that is to add it line by line
String wholeFile = "";
wholeFile = wholeFile + line + "\n";
The better way would be to use a java.lang.StringBuffer, or a java.io.StringWriter object.

You kind of have this already:
StringTokenizer b = new StringTokenizer (fileContents, "\n");
each time you call nextToken() it will return one line.
To split the line:

5. go through each element assigning it to the proper position on the grid.

6. return the grid

so your program would be along the lines of...

What is it that separates the tokens on each individual line? Spaces?

Adobe Reader on the iPhone is a PDF reading app. It's not a creation app.
You need to get an app like Pages which is intended for page layout. It can place pictures from the phone and export PDF.

On your problem, check in the String class documentation the method replaceAll(), you can solve your problem in just one line of code.
As for why the serious poster(the ones that are here to help, for many year, instead of just disrupting the forum) do not give you code is that they are here to help people learning and not to give free code.
You help a person to learn, when you provide this person with the tools to research and help the person to think out of his problem, so that in the future the learning person can repeat the process by herself instead of going after finnished solution everytime he needs it.

I have the iPhone 4 "Bumpers" which are great but they don't offer me the amount of protection I would like to have for it. I'm referring to mainly the touch screen getting scratched or otherwise trying to carry it around w/me.

You don't need to be in an industrial environment to get dust, lint and moisture in the ports/switches of the phone. Look at all the posts in this forum about "stuck in headphone mode" and "no sound" due to crap getting in the headset jack. How about "unsupported accessory" messages due to dirt in the dock port and all the post about moisture sensors triggering without immersion due to inadvertent sprays.
The Defender covers ALL ports, buttons and switches, keeping what you don't want out. It even covers the ring/silent switch avoiding unintended "silent mode"... Definitely ugly though.

OT: can anyone convert ID to QX

I have a client that wants a QX template. It's a 4 pager. I started doing it in QX but it took me an hour to do something I can do in 20 minutes in ID so I did the job in ID. Does anyone have ID2QX to convert this over for me. Thanks.

If it's anything like Q2ID's conversion there are about 5 things you need to do to get it ready and they are very predictable and quick.
Any Quark file that isn't going to take hours to proofread that has more than an hour of revisions is conversion material for me.
The only thing Quark is faster than InDesign for me is making aliens shoot each other with cartoon guns.

I am desperate to open an old AppleWorks spreadsheet file (.cwk). Is there anyone out there who still has a running copy of Appleworks that I can send my file to and have convert it to something Numbers or Excel can open and send back to me?

This is getting annoying. A lot of older VIs are posted here but the latest labview will not open them. Al l can say to that is ERRRRR!!!!!.

PS And it much faster than the microwave I have at home now. My wife reported last night "The microwave is on fire!" Well it wasn't exactly under going a chemical reaction with O2 but the sparks sure looked like flames!

Anyone using one of the new iMac intels with Logic Pro?

Hey people the title says it all really. Anyone using that particular combination? More specifically the newer Core 2 Duo range.
If so, how is it handling Logic and perhaps your 3rd party plug-ins? I used to have a Dual 1.8 gig G5 (see spec below) and that was pretty powerfull but unfortunately one of the processors died so I had to sell it on. Now I'm thinking of getting an iMac due its size and price.

I've got a imac c2d 2.16 2gb ram and it flies. haven't got close to making it sweat yet.
been running upto 8 audio tracks with between 3-7 plugins a track, 2-3 + space designers, stylus rmx with 4/5 instances and fx and maybe 3-4 soft synths - e.g. 2+ absynths and a couple of logic plugins plus an ultrabeat.
dmitedly i am comparing it to my old powerbook - but really it flies and i'm occasionally aso running imovie in the background and surfing the web if the whim takes me.
I'd recommend at least 2 gb ram - but although i bought mine in feb with the full knowledge that a new imac might be introduced soon, i'd have to say wait....check out macrumors buying guide as it's long overdue for an imac new model.

you can only convert one object type to another. Integer is an object int isnt. You might want to convert int to Integer and then go ahead.

Can anyone recommend a simple Notes/To Do List app

Hello,
I am going crazy looking for a very simple To Do List / Notes app for my iPhone that does what I want it to do. I have spent hours in the Apps store and downloaded over 12 so far, and have not found the right one. Can anyone recommend one that:
-allows for unlimited lists (To Do Home; To Do Out; Grocery List; Xmas Gift List etc).
-allows you to manually SORT these lists by dragging them above or below the other items.
-allows you to enter unlimited items (or a large number of items) within each list
-allows for more than one line of text for each list item (not one line with ". . . ."after it)
-allows you to manually SORT these sublist items.
-opens directly to the page with all lists
-is attractive (even a cute, "mom" way is fine)
-has the auto spelling corrector
I don't care about due dates, syncing with calendars or any other fancy stuff. I basically want it to do what the basic yellow Notes app does, but just with sorting capability.

If a site is sending you spam, it has nothing to do with browsing the web; they can't track you down or discover your email address or anything about you, so you don't need a proxy server. They got your email address somewhere, so if your email provider is Gmail or even Yahoo! Mail, you can block them from sending based on their domain and then you won't see anything from them. If your email provider is your ISP, they can block those for you if you call them and ask them to do it.
