Did you also enter your username/email address and password for the SMTP server? most SMTP servers (used for sending mails) want you to log in or else won't send.
For testing purposes, you can send a message to yourself; as receiving messages is not a problem...

There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -
I've set up my Gmail account to auto forward messages to iCloud Mail but message are not being received in iCloud Mail.

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Can anyone out there help, after a recent Apple software update my Epson Stylus Photo RX640 will no longer print, every other aspect of the printer works fine including the scanner but it just will not print, I sent an email to apple but all i got was an automated reply directing me to their support page, the email i sent is below this explains in full what the problem is & what i have done to try & fix this problem.

I'm pulling my hair out after a recent software update from apple, since this update my Epson Stylus Photo RX640 will not print, every other function of the printer including the scanner works fine,
Please see attached file of the error message coming up in the print queue.
I have spent days trying to fix this, i have been onto Epsons website & followed their resolution for this error message to no avail, after contacting them again with the results i got an email back saying : In response to your email, the RX640 will use an inbox or gutenprint driver on Mac OS X 10.6.8, it is not compatible with an Epson driver.
I have also tried re-installing drivers from original Discs for the printer but it still will not print, obviously this error has been caused by Apple's latest software update, when are Apple going to fix this problem? i need my printer working ASAP.

BrianIt is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.

OCR Crashing Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with the current OCR engine crashing
I have a lot of difficult images to recognize and whilst I am not expecting good results I am hoping to OCR these multiple files without crashing the program all the time. I have tried optimising scanned documents on the various settings, splitting the files to make them smaller, using both Acrobat Pro 10 and 11 and Acrobat standard (same OCR engine for all), 3 different PCs but the program continues to crash, tried contact Adobe but no help there. For example it happens while processing the first page of a new scan if I open another document first then start to scan a new document. If there is nothing open and it is the first document in Acrobat then it seems to scan correctly. I will try closing each new scan as I complete it and see whether it happens again. Alternatively I may just need to close and reopen Acrobat EACH time I want to scan a new document - pain in the a*** but it might get me through until a real solution appears.

oh, scanned a two page document but didn't save it then tried to open another (24 page document) to insert the newly scanned pages into the old document only to have the programme crash, again. something seriously wrong with this. I'll go back to saving the 2 pages first, close acrobat then open the 2 documents and try to merge them...
then scanned 2 pages, saved closed file and reopened same file at which point Acrobat crashed.
switched off scanner, switched on again, reopened file, ok.
reopened 24 page document (in new window), ok.
inserted the 2 pages into 24 page file (now 26 pages), saved file exited, ok.
scanned another 2 page document, Acrobat crashes during processing of first page. not ok.
Going back to thinking it is the interaction with the scanner...
one comment, everytime I scan something for the first time Acrobat comes up with dialog box "Multiple scanner drivers detected. Please choose a scanner." . I have found no way of setting the preferences to use a specific driver, is there one? The options are Epson Perfection V30/V300; Sane Twain; and WIA - Epson Perfection V30/V300. I have always chosen the first option should I try the others? It does feel like it is the scanner driver but as I have said before I have the most up-to-date driver installed for it, or is it simply the scanner is too old to work with Acrobat XI Pro? Scanner is attached via USB, perhaps it is interacting with somethning else (I have a USB hub, USB linked hard drive and USB linked tablet attached) and causing the problem although I have used the tablet in the Epson scanner programme (which works fine and creates PDF files directly) and in Photoshop without a problem. Perhaps I'll just go back to using the Epson scanner programme and aggregate and reorder the files later in Acrobat.

I am trying to sync all my phone desk top and lap top together. I have the Iphone and lap top syncing but having a hard time with my desk top? As regardss to the iChat and iChat Sharing categorisation you have used.
In iChat 6 (lion) and Messages (Mountain Lion) the apps login to AIM and to Me.com
The Login to Me.com allows AIM to verify the password to the iCloud issued names (@me.com and @iCloud.com)
This "Dual" login also prevents the newer iCloud issued name from using this site
(it has extra Privacy settings that iChat can't access for your AIM and Aim valid Accounts)
Ignoring the @mac.com and MobileMe entries in the Add Account Screen in iChat and using the AIM one does not get around this issue.
AIM and @mac.com names still work in older versions of iChat.
The short answer is that iCloud issued Apple IDs do not work in iChat 5 or Earlier.

This problem started immediately after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1
If I open my inbox in my New Yahoo Mail, then open an email with attachments and then open the attachments to "view as a slide show"....I can't close the slide show and return to the email by clicking on the "return to Yahoo" button. If you click on it, it returns to the first pic shown, and if you click on it again, the pics disappear and a gray haze appears over most of the screen but none of the features under the gray screen work. I have found that if I hit the back page and then forward page buttons, I can get back to my inbox eventually, but this is a terrible "pain in the ass"!Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion after purchasing Apple TV yesterday from Best Buy.
I have signed in on the same wi-fi network (comcast 30mbps)
I was able to see photos from my wifes Iphone but not my IMac or Mac Air
Both computers connect but I am only getting audio.
I updated software on Apple TV
I shut everything down and reset my router. My Mac Air 13" 2012 was able to see the desk top but not anything that I was doing and then it disconnected.
I also tested the internet speed on the Apple TV but it just told me it was finished. (no results)WEP as a security measure is laughable nowadays. Even a kindergarten kid with a netbook can crack the password in a few minutes. Try using WPA2 if available on the device. And the Macs will be quite happy connecting with that protocol.

Using Audition, how would I go about recording an audio signal (voice) at
14,500Hz? I know this would be outside the frequency range for the human ear to hear, but that is the point of my question. Any help would be very much appreciated
Thanks!!!!You are thinking about it absolutely the wrong way if you think you can "convert" a voice file to be only 14.5kHz. You need to think of a control frequency (14.5kHz) being modulated by the voice line you record. You can't just change the pitch of the voice file or use the FFT filter to eliminate everything under 14.5kHz. It won't work that way.
Try it yourself. Record a voice line. Use Pitch Shifter or pitch strech to change the pitch on the voice. Crank it up all the way to highest possible pitch. Listen to it. Painful isn't it? Could you understand anything? Thought not. Then go to the FFT filter. Reset so it's flat. Add a break point (click on the line) at 14.5kHz. Then click and drag the line below 14.5kHz and bring it to zero. Listen to it. You get the occasional movment if you watch the Frequency Analysis window, but certainly nothing audible to my burned out ears.
The direction I would look at is using the Vocoder effect in MT. insert your voice line into the MT window. In EV, create a new file using Generate Tones at 14.5kHz of the length you need. Insert the tone file into MT ABOVE the voice file. Select and highlight them both. Still in MT, go to Effects>Vocoder. Make your Control Wave the voice file and your Process Wave the tone file. Hit OK. A new file (that looks blank) will be created. Play it in EV with the Frequency Analysis window open and you will see activity at 14.5kHz. This is amplitude modulation (AM). Will it result in anything subliminal? I doubt it, but it would depend on how much you belive subliminal messaging works.
Didn't an earlier version of Audition have some subliminal effect? Could it have been as far back as CEP 1.2?
