Can DTrace be used to attribute TSB misses to processes?
Let's say I want to find out which processes might be getting most of the TSB misses. Any ideas of how to attribute a TSB miss to the process whose access triggered it? Specifically, I want a count or rate, so I can see which is highest...so that I only have to use ppgsz or mpss.so.1 with those few. I think maybe determining what triggers a call to sfmmu_tsbmiss_exception() may be what I want, although whether that could be related to a process, I have no idea. But if anything short of an exotic DIY loadable kernel hack could be used to figure that out, I'd suppose it would be DTrace.
(I may also cut tsb_rss_factor to 256 from the default, but that's another story)
This is for Solaris 10 (SPARC - a 24 CPU 6800 with 192GB RAM). I've seen trapstat -t overhead percent for some CPUs as high as 20%, and that wasn't when the system was really bad - I wasn't running trapstat from cron yet last time that happened. The system was nearly frozen for some minutes, but there were no I/O errors or anything like that. An xterm displayed back from there would have its scroll bar work fine (no context switch), but even tty driver level echoing was incredibly slow for the shell within that xterm...suggesting that even with very little swap in use, SOMETHING was bogging the system down to the point that a context switch was exceptionally onerous.
SHA is not encryption, it is a one way hash, which means that there is no way (technically feasible atleast) to recover the original text that was converted to the hash.
If you really want to try and make a match (ie, make a brute force password cracker ;) ), perhaps you could make a script to hash the password (of list of passwords) that you want to compare, and compare the hashes.

alexAs far as I know, you can't do this - xml must be well formed (this is sort of a bedrock of xml). There may be some work around's, but I'm not aware of any - and they would most likely be hacks.

MuraliYou will have to catalog the API (refer to the Studio help files for the details). Once you catalog the api you can use it in a method. The method can then be used in an activity in the process.

Can we use Navigational attributes as Virtual Characteristics

I need to derive the virtual characteristic based on 2 infoobjects in the multiprovider. One of the infoobject is a navigational attribute. I am using the BADI approach to create the virtual characteristic. Can we use navigational attributes to pass values to derive the virtual Char or is there any limitation.
Basically can I use the below code to read navigational attr
when <b>'0EMPLOYEE_0JOB'</b> OR '0PROFIT_CTR'.

How can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser
In CVI 2012, the toolbar changes depending on the environment, e.g. it is different for the source window and the UI editor. The toolbar can be customized using the menu Options / Toolbar...
Unfortunately, when using the attribute browser of the UI editor, another toolbar is displayed, i.e. not the UI editor toolbar.... I would have assumed that the attribute browser belongs to the UI editor, obviously it doesn't... So how can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser?

So I have three different toolbars, for source code (workspace), UI editor, and the UI editor displayed but the attribute browser clicked on (selected)...

Why can't GB let me use 'electric guitar' option when using Nio 2/4 interface - I have to use real instrument and miss out on all the effects. Is this normal for all interfaces? The Nio reads hte guitar but GB doesn't....
Usually effects packages are AU plugins that would have no effect on track selection. Interfaces should have no control over what kind of track you can select. I really think something else is going on her maybe something you overlooked.
Did you choose the input channel in the track info pane. Try both channel 1 mono or channel 2 mono. Make sure the track is record enabled. -

Actually I would like to use the Catalog Area Type (maintained in trx COMM_PCAT_ADM on Catalog Area Header level). This field doesn't seem to be available in J2EE webshop. (The field documentation says it is for documentation purposes only so I don't expect it to be transferred).
As this field is not readily available, I would like to add is as an attribute to the Catalog Area. BADI's PCAT_IMS_FEED_ATT and PCAT_IMS_FEED_VAL seem to indicate that it should be possible to add additional fields not only on product level, but also on Area level:

In the ABAP debugger, I can see that my code is touched during initial and delta replications, however, after replication, the fields do not show up in the Java debugger.

I searched for the threads in forum but it seems, people get the same error always due to the wrong XML document.
