Can final mutable variables be manipulated. ?
I found written somewhere that final variables can still be manipukated unless its marked immutable...
Can any one explain on this with some example if possible.

Second, get Data(ex. 10 Employee Information List) from DB for useing Java embedded activity.

I analyzed the problem. and I find the reason that is I just assing one XML flag to the temp variable. If i don't initalize the varaible like first step, BPEL make an error above error message.

Question about final instance variables

Hi, I recently have come across a situation that I realized I did not understand and I could not find the answer after a bit of googling and searching the forum so I thought I would quickly pose the question to the crowd. Basically I want to know if declaring a final instance variable and assigning it to an existing Object will make an immutable copy of that Object. For example:

final myFinalDims = myDims;
This is not real code (obviously) and I made it quickly just to get my point across. Basically my question is if I create an Anonymous Inner class within the doSomething() method that accesses the myFinalDims variable, will the inner class actually access the myDims variable (which could have its value changed before the inner class accesses the variable) or will it be accessing a copy of the myDims Object that will have the same value as when the final variable was declared and instantiated?

Hello All,
I have a 15" i7 Macbook Pro from early 2011. The past few weeks, it has been getting increasingly difficult to get on my computer. It takes the mac laptop two or three tries to boot successfully. It would turn on, show gray screen, shut down, turn on again, show gray screen, shutdown, and then turn on, show gray screen, before it can finally get to the dark gray log-in screen. Even when I finally get logged in to start working, thinking it would be okay now, it shuts down randomly.
I've ruled out the possibility of a software problem because I've just done a clean re-install of Mac OS X Mavericks on my computer just yesterday.
I did upgrade the RAM recently, about a month and a half ago, from 4GB to 16GB, I went to the apple store four days after that upgrade to have them do a hardware test, and clean the inside of my laptop, which helped with previous heat issues. When they did the hardware test, the hardware was all registered as fine from their system.
I've tried resetting the SMC, PRAM, and doing the internet recovery hardware test, but to no avail. I thought I could at least find out what parts needed to be replaced from the hardware test but it seems that when the hardware test is almost finished, the computer just shuts down, So I am unable to see the results.
My computer is also having battery issues, under battery condition, it says "replace now," parts have been ordered, waiting for arrival. But if the battery health is low, it should still boot up fine, it would just hold a significantly less charge.
Could this be a hard drive issue?
Has anyone had similar symptoms and how was it resolved?
Does anyone know what I can do to alleviate this issue?
I haven't had time to take it to Apple because I'm currently taking a 21 credit semester academically. I'm an art and design student so my computer is basically the bane of my existence. Help! Any constructive advice is welcomed!

I need to load all my constants at run time. These are the public static final instance variables. The variables values are in the DataBase. How do I go about loading them.

Your original question was diffeent, but your further posts show what you really want to do:
1) all constants in 1 class
2) available readonly for other classes
3) updatable during runtime by changing in the database

The variables are initialized in a static initializer by accessing the db. Ok.
You habe a table with one row containing as columns all the constants.
A method readConstants() does a "select constant1, constant2, ... from const_table" and sets all the variables.
The static initializer calls this method.
Right?
Ok, then you simply call readConstants() everytime you want to synchronize with the actual content of const_table.

Can I pass variables in the URL string?

I am trying to get some variables into a loaded swf at
runtime. The variables will carry information so the swf can load
the correct xml file. I thought we could pass them through the URL
string like so:

but it just throws an URL cannot be found error. How can I
get variables into my swf at runtime?

What you are doing is fine. But you will always get that
error when testing
the movie (Ctrl+Enter). Try it in a browser and it should
work.
BTW, another way of doing the same is to use a URLVariables
object, like so:

Hi Ciro,
in the Web item properties of the Text element web item you can specifically select in the ITEM_LIST a list of text elements. For variables you can choose if you want to display text or key values. This should work for the print template.
With the Excel display I'm a bit unsure. There is a BEx Function called SAPBEXshowTextElements that allows you to display the variable values. I just don't know if you can execute it in the SAPBEXonRefresh. You can find additional information in the BW help under Business Explorer->Analysis & Reporting: BEx Analyzer->Queries in Workbooks->Integration with Visual Basic for Application (in the BW 3.1 documentation).
Another thing that might work is to add another navigational attribute to the needed InfoObjects with reference to the InfoObject. While loading Master Data you can fill the navigational attribute with the same value as the characteristic. Then you can drag the variable into the filter and put the Navigational attribute into the query.
Example: You have the IO 0COSTCENTER that you want to put a filter on. Create an IO COSTC_N (Costcenter Navigation) with reference to 0COSTCENTER and insert it into 0COSTCENTER as navigational attribute. While loading Master Data for 0COSTCENTER fill COSTC_N from 0COSTCENTER.
In the query put COSTC_N into the filter box and create a fitting variable. 0COSTCENTER can now be displayed in the rows and the filter values for COSTC_N are displayed in the query.

Can a session variable be an array?

I have a dynamic list which may have multiple values
selected. I can capture the resulting array in a $_POST variable.
Using the Insert Record behavior, I cannot cause the $_POST
variables to be sent to the redirect page unless I use session
variables. Can a session variable be defined as an array? If so,
how do I declare it as an array and how do I move the form variable

I can't answer specifically for PHP but in the other
languages as session
variable is basically a holding place for a value. As a comma
is a valid
character then if you have a comma delimited list (which is
what a form give
you if multiple items are selected) then you simple assign it
to the session
variable and it will be stored as such.

Can a form variable hold a javascript complex object?

I have a method in a fragmentScript script object that creates a javascript object formatted like below:
customerObject
    name      [string]
    address [string]
    city        [string]
    state      [string]
    list of accounts    [array]
When the script is done executing, the subform containing the script gets hidden, and needs to pass the object to another subform which becomes visible.
Can I pass this object via a form variable (located under File-Form Properties, Variables tab)? That is, can a form variable contain a complex javascript object?

Hey Bruce, I'm having a problem with the eval funtion returning a null, can you help me?
Here's my code snippet:
