Can find my iPhone be turned on remotely? I had it turned off, and twice in the last month I've found that it is turned on and someone was tracking my location. I'm a little freaked out! Is there any way that someone could be turning "find my iPhone" on remotely? I was under the assumption that the only way to turn the service on was from my phone itself.. Is there any way that my phone is somehow resetting itself to a time when the app was turned on? I'm just grabbing straws here... I have no idea. I just know that the location arrow came on at the top of my phone, and it showed that someone was tracking my phone at that very moment... Any help would be appreciated!

I lost all my contacts twice in the last month. I'd like to know what the reason can be.
I did nothing different, just opened the contactxl app to make a phone call and all my contacts were missing. This happened to me twice in the last month. I have all my contacts in google contacts so that i just needed to sync my iphone and recovered them all but i feel quite unsure now. As I don't know the reason, i don't know if it's going to happen tomorrow again in a place where I'm not able to find a pc to sync my iphone.

Some documents, but not others, that I've created/edited/printed and worked with JUST RECENTLY suddenly won't open UNLESS I get the new version of Pages (for $20!!) I just edited some of these a couple of days ago! I edited one, printed it, etc. Now I need to look at it again and it WON'T open! I "need the new version of Pages??! What if I don't want to suddenly shell out $20 to work with documents I made on the version I already have? And why do SOME documents now look different (in a new style) while others look like they always have, and function normally?
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Plug the device into the computer, that generally helps.
Try a different sync cable, a different USB port, and a different computer. If it still does not work, post back and let us know. -

Only if Find My Phone was turned on & activated BEFORE your phone was lost. You can then login to iCloud.com & hopefully locate it. Otherwise, no.

A few days after i've updated to iOS 8.1.1 my iphone 5s died and isn't turning on and its not charging. i have my legit charger that came with my phone and after 6 months it stopped working, i even have a charging case and that wont charge it. I believe someone stole my iPod touch at school. I don't have find my iphone installed on my ipod, only on my iPad. If my ipod still shows on my devices, does that mean it hasn't been erased?

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police and school

I transferred photos to my computer by cutting and pasting. I have some on my phone that I didn't cut and paste. Now they are gone and and I cannot find them anywhere on phone or computer. Are they lost forever. I have done no back-up recently or icloud. My daughters 8th grade graduation was on it. I am devastated.
A lot of I should haves. I had too many photos and while at work I opened up the 4 folders inside of the DCIM folder on my phone. I didn't think it would be a big deal to just cut the photos and paste on my computer as I have done this before. i moved one folder that had 803 pictures in it and all was fine. I ran out of time and unplugged phone and went home. When I got to work this morning I was looking at my phone and realized I only had 34 pictures. I knew there should have been 400+ there and they are gone. Don't know what happened and if they were deleted off phone or computer I cannot see them anywhere. I didn't back up (I know mistake) Lessoned learned I just hope there is something i can do!

I wanted to install windows for Mac and I had vista so I put I the disk and installed followed the steps it then it closed my computer wen I turned it on it went straight to windows and it asked me to install it and put in the windows box code I found out I didn't have it so I wanted to go back to Mac I shut it off and it just goes back to windows and asks me to put the box code how do I get rid of it and go back to Mac because no buttons work at the start and i can't take out the disk !! The two other posts are correct... so I'll just clarify. What's happening right now is your system is trying to boot into Windows in order to finish the installation. What you want to do is make it boot into OS X. As mende1 indicated, with your system off, hold down the Option key and continue to hold it while you turn the system on. You will eventually be presented with an option to select which partition you would like to boot from. Choose OS X. After you get into OS X, again, as mende1 indicated, change the Startup Disk to OS X. What this will do is cause your system to automatically boot into OS X when you restart it instead of you having to use the Option key when booting each time.
Relaunching BootCamp Assistant will allow you to remove your Windows installation and partition. -

My iPhone 4 has lost SIM connection several times over the past week when the phone is left on continually. I have had the SIM checked and it was not the source of the problem. I have found that I can reactivate the SIM by switching the phone off and on again. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there an easy fix. I have been advised by Apple that the latest IOS update may overcome this situation but I'm only on slow download speeds and 690 Mb would take forever. I would appreciate any advice.
