I have found that I can reactivate the SIM by switching the phone off and on again. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, is there an easy fix. I have been advised by Apple that the latest IOS update may overcome this situation but I'm only on slow download speeds and 690 Mb would take forever. I would appreciate any advice.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Hi my airport router ( ateast i think this is where the problem originates) has been turning off intermittenly for the past week, when it does this NO devices recieve internet connection, mac, pc,iphone, ipad, wireless or hardwired directly to the router. However they all show to be connected with their corresponding bars and the ip's are all fine. Earlier today it started flucuating on and off about every 5 min making work impossible and now it seems to be completely broken (im currently on my iphone connected though its own internet) Does anyone know how or ehy this happened and how i can fix this? And to know if this originates from the router or something else entirely. Thank you!

Hi - some clarifications would help narrow down some symptoms - just what has been turning off? - has the light been solid green but the modem isn't providing wi-fi? - or is the light flashing yellow with no internet? - which can mean several things - does the light go out completey? - so if you can report on exactly what is happenening and when, maybe someone can help you - we also need to know if there any error messages along the way - we also need the types of devices involved and how they are attached - kind of like a nework map - the more info that you provide, the more answers you will get.

When iPad is off and not connected to internet, you'll will not be able to track, lock or wipe the iPad.

For the past week, when I open a new window in my smartermail the window shrinks, when I try to expand, it goes back to tiny window. IE works fine.

My company's IT director says he's received emails from other people in our company with the same problem recently.
He says he believes it's a Firefox issue since the last update.
When I use IE, my smartermail works fine.

The only way the backup from ilcoud has been transferred to a new apple device would be if YOU restored the new device with the mentioned backup. There is nothing 'safe' about you deleting this backup if in fact you have not restored the new device with this backup.

Problem persisted after fixes were done so wife called apple today. Their fix is to turn cellular off when in the house and turn it back on when she leaves- the 4 doesn't keep the password so she has to enter the password too... This wasn't a fix ...it's just resolving the connection problem... They also said that they made ios6 have security features so nobody can hack into the wifi without having the password and it has to be entered to use the wifi. My 5 and the iPads stay on with no problems. It's just the 4. So far so good...she's had wifi all day when home. It's inconvenient but it's either completely reboot it with iTunes (which doesn't work for her) or buy a new phone and she won't do that either.
So...Apple is saying that she didn't have to do the updates either and could've stayed with the previous iOS but !!!too late now!!! We've updated because we think our phones will run better but the ios6 just made it a pita for users

I recently put on a PowerPoint presentation at DU, in Denver Colorado; signed on as DU guest to access Internet link. SInce then I haven't been able to get e-mail on my Iphone - Cannot Get Mail, Server Stopped Responding. I tried all previous suggestions, such as rebooting phone, updating software etc. I went to MacBook Pro and tried logging on to yahoo e-mail. Apparently there was a security risk to my e-mail account so Yahoo locked up my account. I reset my password, it was verified through text message, and Voila it worked. Don't forget you also have to change this on your Iphone: go into settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; click on your e-mail browser, then account and enter your new password, click done and it will verify on you phone as well.
