Can i create temp tables in command?

I need to create 5 temp tables and then use in CR for display. can this be done in Command?

p.s. if this is regarding the same report that you've been dealing with for a couple of weeks now, please let us know exactly how you want the data to come back:
a)  do you want 5 rows of data from 5 queries each returning one value, or
b) do you want 1 row of data from queries with 5 columns
e.g.
a)
field1
1.6
2.1
3.1
1.8
2.6
or
b)
field1     field2     field3     field4     field5
1.6          2.1      3.1          1.8     2.6
the a) or b) choice will determine what methods you can use to retrieve the data.
if you don't want either a) or b) please describe how you want the data returned.

  • How to create Temp Table?

    Hi..
I gotta output 2 table in my database. And, want to output
all fields of such table in one grid. So, can I create temp table
in Coldfusion MX7? Here is my table structure of two tables.
    table 1) Company_name, exp_Value
    table 2) Company_name, imp_Value
I want to create temp table like
    temp table ) Company_name (table1 + table 2) , exp_value
    (table 1), imp_value (table 2)
so, how can I solve this problem.?
    All solutions will be appreciated.
    best,

    another solutions?
well, what exactly are you trying to do if none of the
    solutions given
    so far work for you?
i believe the suggested solutions covered all possibilities,
    save for
UNION query, which, from what i can understand from your
    explanations,
is NOT what you need either...
if cf_dev2's OUTER JOIN suggestion is "not ok" for your
    project - i
don't know which one will be "ok" then...
how many records are you expecting in your "temp table" if
    not all
records you have in the db? how can you expect fewer than all
    records if
using INNER JOIN is not acceptable to you because "some
    company_names
would be lost if table (1) company_name isn't included in
    table (2)"???
you really should look at normalizing your db, i think...

  • Can we create a table in temp tablespace?

    Hi Support ,
I have confused about on point that Can we create a table in temp tablespace.
    thanks

I so not think the question is so bad except that it was as suggested something you can determine for yourself in 20 seconds:
    > /
create table mark (fld1 number) tablespace tmp
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-02195: Attempt to create PERMANENT object in a TEMPORARY tablespace
Other database products allow users to create tables in the temporary tables such as SQL Server.  I just tested using SQL Server 2008 R2 and I could create a table in TEMPDB.
SQL Server also creates temporary tables, create table #table_name, in TEMPDB.  You can see these objects while in use.

  • Can I create a table in a procedure submitted to job queue?

I have created a package (with AUTHID CURRENT_USER) where some of the procedures create temporary tables to facilitate processing. These procedures run just fine when executed directly from within an anonymous block at the SQL*PLUS level. However, when I submit the procedures to the job queue (via DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT), the job is submitted successfully but fails when run. Investigating the Alert Log shows an error of insufficient privilege on the CREATE TABLE command in the procedure.
    QUESTION:
Can I create a table from a procedure running in the Job Queue? If so, then how to get it to work? Does the job run in a different environment that needs Create Table privileges set to my schema?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
    John

FYI: Found the problem. In the Administrator's Guide (of course not in the supplied packages documentation about DBMS_JOB) I found:
    "How Jobs Execute
SNP background processes execute jobs. To execute a job, the process creates a session to run the job.
When an SNP process runs a job, the job is run in the same environment in which it was submitted and with the owner's default privileges.
When you force a job to run using the procedure DBMS_JOB.RUN, the job is run by your user process. When your user process runs a job, it is run with your default privileges only. Privileges granted to you through roles are unavailable."
And of course we had set up our users to get all privileges through Roles, so CREATE TABLE wasn't one of my DEFAULT PRIVILEGES!
It sure would be nice if Oracle documentation could get its act together and provide ALL information about a topic in a logical place. The effort to find the information about privileges occurred after it took me 1/2 hour to figure out why my submissions were failing - I didn't have the ';' included in the quoted string for the procedure to be called - which I only figured out after looking at the code for DBMS_JOB where it made the note to make sure you include the ';'. Wouldn't it be good to have that MINOR DETAIL mentioned in the description of DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT?????

  • Create temp table in PL/SQL

How to create temp table in PL/SQL procedure/function?
In SQL plus, I can create a table using
    create table <table name>
    on commit reserve ..

If you're referring to temp table similar as the temp table of informix .. the answer is you cannot create a temp table in oracle than will automatically be cleaned by oracle session.
However its possible to create a remporary table but this will be a permanent part of your schema.. and you'll be the one responsible for dropping this table.

  • Crystal Server 2013: How to troubleshoot "Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357"

We have a Java7 web app, which generate PDF report by calling Crystal Server 2013 SP4.
The app is being deployed on many different servers. We sometimes got the error below when generating report:
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKException: Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357 [CRSDK00000615] Error code name:internal

    at com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.PrintOutputController.export(PrintOutputController.java:113)
Problem is, this seems to be  a pretty generic exception. It could be caused by many different reasons.
e.g. network connection problem, wrong DB login, wrong folder path, lack of folder access right, etc.
Each time we could only guess what's wrong.
We are running into it again, and this time everything seems correctly configured so far.
We wonder if there are more info we can get to troubleshoot? For example, any log file of Crystal Server we should look into? Or does Crystal Server has debug mode which prints more details to tell us what goes wrong?

    Hi Henry,
I believe you are using RAS SDKs to export the reports to PDF.
Apply trace on RAS server and check what you find in RAS logs.
Check whether you can see timeout error is RAS logs. Usually if connection is lost and the RAS server no more have the session to write to the temp directory, we do see these errors.
Also, does the account that runs RAS have permissions to create a file in RAS's default temp directory? Are you getting any out of memory or out of disk space exceptions on App server or RAS, tracing RAS server is the way to move forward.
    Thanks,

How to configure tracing, and where are RAS logs? Is it configured in CMC --> Servers --> Crystal Report Services?

    Pretty sure yes.

    Not on App server.
For RAS, that's the problem, I am not sure where to look.......

  • Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357 [CRSDK00000615] Error code name:internal

    Hello,
While exporting Export reporting from BI4 getting exception
Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357 [CRSDK00000615] Error code name:internal
In Trace Log I am getting

I tried following solution according to the all forums but still issue exist.
Done changes mention in KB article In <Installation-dir-of-BO>\Common\4.0\java\CRConfig.XML we have to increase the JAVA heap MIN and Max size
              <JVMMaxHeap>64000000</JVMMaxHeap>          <JVMMinHeap>32000000</JVMMinHeap>
Increase the value in the ReportApplicationServer Services in the CMC for "Number of database records to read when previewing or refreshing a report". The value -1 is for unlimited records but not recommended for performance.
Check for temporary read write permission on server
Using SDK library from C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib
Can you please let me know is there anything missing.

    Hi,
We face the same problem with some BI4 reports.
The same report works well with the "Crystal Reports Viewers API", as used in Infoview, but not with the "Report Application Server (RAS) API".
This error appears after some time working on a report. If we reproduce the same report, but from zero, no problem.
    Hope it can help.

Like the vendor that told me their product would work with an oracle database, but they preferred SQL Server because "oracle doesn't perform will with more than 5 concurrent connections". Fortunately we were still in product evaluation and I was able to get them cut from the short list.
