Can i do an invisible link in a table cell

Hi people, can anyone help.
i need to create an invisible link in a table .
i was originally using a photoshop image as my web page and
placing links on it using an image map. Giving me links hovering
over glowwing text in the original photo to take me to other pages.
Now i have changed my ways and placed the image in a layout
table and used style sheets and cells to position, add video and
links in cells in the table, with the old image now being
background for the table.
i still want to use the photoshop background images' glowing
text to link to aswell as my other video and text links but cannot
trigger the image map as the glowing text is not a foreground image
therefore has nothing to link to.
Adding a table cell around the section i want to link , i
need to place an invisible image in the cell giving something to
link to, which would give the appearence of linking to the the
background glow text, i cant fill a box with same colour text to
look invisible because the background image is too complex. And i
can't mimick my cool glow text in dreamweaver, so
what can i do.? Link to anchors on other pages ? Invisible
link in cell ?

You can add a transparent gif - create a 1x1px clear.gif, and
then size
it any size you want in your table cell. Add a link to that
gif.

Adding a link to a table cell question

ho can i add a link into a cell containing an image without increasing its size?
I am trying to make a link out of a table cell containing an image.
the problem is that the highlight frame around the image increases the size of the cell (and i cant have this since i imported all the small table images from photoshop wich constitute a big image).

no i am just exporting fragmented gif images from photoshop that i want to assemble again in dreamweaver through a table.
when i apply the link to one of the cells, dreamweaver increases its size (by 1 or 2 pixels) wich causes border gaps between cells and i cant have that.
i am using this cell as a button. all i want is to apply a link to a cell containing an image without modifying its size.

How can I create an anchor link, from one table to another?

I want to make an .html web page with two tables, side by side. In the left table I want to put a list of names. In the right table I want to have text anchored at the top of the right table (linked anchor to the names in the left table) so that when I click on a name from the list in the left table the text associated with that name will appear at the top of the table on the right? In the right table, I want to be able to scroll up and down to read the text in the right table. In the left table I want the list to remain near the top of the page while I'm scrolling up and down in the right table. I want the list on the left always in view and stationary while I'm scrolling through the text in the right column.
I tried just anchoring text to the top of the right column (without linking the anchor to a different html file) but when I scrolled down in the right table, the whole page scrolled down so that I could no longer see the list of names in the left column.
How can I achieve this effect? Do I need to anchor to another html file, or can I achieve the result without linking to a different html file?

Iframes should be in there, but they only show up when you're in code view. But all it does anyways is place the frame tags where your cursor is. You'll also need to add some properties, such as width and what not. A quick google for iframe properties will provide plenty of examples. Like a regular frame, it displays a separate a html page which must be referenced in the properties. A named anchor as we know is part of the link which can be used onnthe same page, or open another page to a certain location. So it's just a matter of formatting the link so it targets and includes the iframe as well as the other attributes. I'm pretty sure it's doable and not too difficult, but again, a quick google shold provide the answer.

How to apply different pseudo classes to links in two table cells

I have a table in an include file to display footer links. I need to overide deault link colors in only these two cells.
I've tried several variations of the link-visited-hover-active css to the td footer CSS wirh no success

Linking asset tracking tables

I am using asset tracking, and after issuing item from inventory, it finishes in FA. How can I now which mass_addition belong to which material_transaction?

It may seem strange, but the <contents> of <rawText> aren't actually
raw - it's only the "text" attribute that's raw. (It seems strange because
it is. Ah well.) This is different from UIX JSP.
So, try something like the following:

No. You cannot link your contacts to hers. However, you can use Home Sharing to share the information:

Everytime I write an email on the Apple mail app (as well as in Gmail) it recommends a bunch of emails that are not my contacts. Can I Create A Symbolic Link to folders stored on an SMB Share folder?

I am very new to Unix and was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction with regards to Symbolic links and an SMB share folder ....
Have purchased an ext. LAN Drive enclosure (http://www.macpower.com.tw/products/hdd3/pleiades/pd_usblan) which connects to my wireless router via ethernet like my G5 (main Mac) - our iBook connects via Airport. I have copied all my general documents/files to the SMB share folder on the ext. drive so that I can access them from the G5 and also the iBook.
However I'd also like to be able to store my actual Mail folder (/Users/Mark/Library/Mail/), , Safari folder (/Users/Mark/Library/Safari) + my Address Book and other folders sitting in the Application Support folder on my SMB share so all important docs/folders are in the one place. I've tried storing these folders on the SMB share and putting an Alias to these back in Users/Mark/Library/Mail etc but of course an Alias doesn't work.
Question 1: Can I create a symbolic link to these files if these are stored on an SMB share folder? If so, could you please tell me exactly what I'd need to type into Terminal? My SMB Share path is smb://STORAGE-XXXX/MARK
I have copied my iPhoto library and iTunes library to the SMB share and are working fine.
Question 2: Is it possible/worth attempting to move my whole home folder to the SMB share folder? Ideally, I'd like to be able to access my Mail from the iBook as well. If I could log into either the G5 or the iBook and access my latest Mail, Address Book and other Application Settings, that would be perfect. Would this be possible?

Yes you can. The command to create a link will look something like this:
$ ln -s thisFolder /Users/mark/thatFolder
I did this while I was hosting a microsoft based game. This put all of the players into a common directory.
SMB just resolved the link and everything worked fine.
However, as I understand it, some other applications do NOT work very well with links. As I have NOT tried it with other applications, I fear I can be of NO help to you in this matter.
The only way to find out which applications work with links is to try them and see what happens.

How can i open a TEXTPAD LINK in recent versions of firefox in a P R I V A T E window?

No matter what i've tried in recent versions of firefox, i can ONLY open a textpad link in a private window with OLD VERSIONS of firefox, where a private window REPLACES non private window(s) !
In later versions, private mode opens an ADDITIONAL window that is private, but the non private window(s) remain too.
So when I right click on a link in Textpad to open it, it ALWAYS opens the link in the latest NON private window!!! Even if I get rid of the non private windows!
I have tried Palemoon Browser(an optimized clone of Firefox) & no difference, unless I use old version 19.0.2 of that browser.
If there was a way in the registry(via an addon or manual change) to make the latest vers of FF beHAVE like the much older version when going into private mode, that might be a quick fix.
Have I stumped everyone? lol

Well... even though there is a command-line option to open a new private window, there is no way to feed a URL to that window externally. Firefox will always open the URL in a new non-private window. It's not clear why it was set up this way.
