If the field is on a selection screen you can use the following coding:
AT-SCREEN OUTPUT.
IF ( <condition is true> ).
    LOOP AT screen.
      IF ( screen-name = 'my field name' ).
        screen-required = '1'.
        MODIFY screen.
     ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
ENDIF.
The same logic can be applied for dynpro fields (also code in a PBO module).

Make Requisitioner Field OBLIGATORY in ME51N.

Hi All,
In Transaction ME51N and ME52N I want to make REQUISITIONER field Mandatory.
for that I Chanegd the Attribute of the field AFNAM from screen 3328 of Function pool MEGUI to REQUIRED.
In the preview of the screen its showing that field as Obligatory but in the Transaction ME51N and ME52N it is not reflected as mandatory.
Can someone help on this please?

I hope you are making mandatory in SE51 Layout ->doble click on field as keep as obligatory.
but somewhere it is changed from mandatory to regular field ,look at code and somehwhere they written loop at screen.
try to write down in PBO as
loop at screen.
if screen-name = ur field name.
screen-input = '1'
modify screen.
endif.
endloop.

   I wish to know how i make two fields obligatory in the selection screen
like
   select-options Po_Num for ekpo-ebeln obligatory.
   select-options Po_Date for ekko-aedat.
   select-options Material for mara-matnr.
in the above example i am looking for po_num and po_date both obligatory but if i dont enter data in the po_num, po_dat becomes obligatory and po_dat has no data entererd po_num is obligatory. i wish to know how i achieve single field act as a obligatory in absence of another field. please help in this regards..

How to Make one of 2 Selection Fields Obligatory

Hi All,
On my seletion screen, i have about 5 select-option input fields. The thing is I want to make the 'article' (s_matnr) and the 'merchandise category' (s_matkl) fields obligatory. The way it should be is that one of them should be obligatory at a time not the 2 at the same time. And 1 of them must be filled they can't be run wide open.
So in Summary, the user must either provide an input for either the ariticle or the merchandize category, not the 2 at the same time and not neither.

I have requirement in adobe forms where based on certain condition I want change the TEXT field accordingly.
Example if material number in of gas type than text will be "GAS MATERIAL" and then populating corresponding material number.

Yes you can definitely make a field dynamic. Bind the text fields with varibale of type Material Number and its description which will have to create in the context (Interface) of the adobe forms. These values you can pass from your driver program or Web-Dynpro.

This can be done using the configuration..
Go to Logistics - General >Business Partner>Vendors>Control>Define Account Groups and Field Selection (Vendor)--> and select the vendor group for which you want this field to be mandatory.
Press details --> in the block "field status", double click Purchasing Plant and again double click Plant level purchasing data, in the second page (down), you can see the confirmation control key, that you have to make as req entry.
If you want the conf control key to be mandatory for all the vendors groups, then you can do this by purchasing organisation level..that config node is just below this settings.

I am TOTALLY new to acrobat- just to put that out there first. I am wondering in acrobat (NOT formscentral or indesign) how to make certain fields required based off the answer of the previous required field.
I.E first required field- "is this a single application?" if so, do NOT make the next few fields required
"is this a joint application?" if so, make the next rew fields required.
Can I get some help with this?

What is commonly done is a button is used to initiate the email, using a "Submit a Form" action and specifying the email address of the recipient. The submit will fail if any fields that are marked as required are blank. In your case, you need to set the required property of certain fields conditionally, based on the sate of the form, and this will require a bit of scripting. It's not overly complicated though and you can get some help here.

Be aware that submitting form by email is often less reliable than expected, for many different reasons. A more reliable and secure approach is to set up the form to submit to a web server, but this involves even more expertise as it involves server-side programming and interacting with a PDF form. Emailing may seem sufficient for your needs, but be aware of the alternatives.
