Can I email a Dw site?
I just need to clarify something.
If I create a new site in Dw and I want to share it with a friend who has Dw in their computer,
is it possible to email the friend the complete site - images and all?
The only thing I can see that I can email is an html file.
But if they open the html file they will not be able to see what the site looks like
since they don't have images and what not in their computer. They will only be able to see
-in design view- an empty table, is this correct? And in Code view of course they'll only see code, is this correct?.
Even if they have Dw in their system, they won't be able to see what the site will look like with just an html page, is this correct?
Iis there a way to email the entire package, that is, so they can preview the site and see it
as it would look on a browser?

HTML is just markup. It contains no images, no CSS, no scripts, no supporting files.
Another option is to publish your site to a test folder on your web server and send your friend a link so they can look at it in their browser. That's what I do for my clients.

After installing the new Yosemite OS on my iMac I can no longer send email. I can receive email, but not send. I use gmail and can send email on the gmail (google) site, but not on "mail" on my iMac. Any others with this problem? What should we do?
My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite. -
So just the document I was last working on in pages won't open. I can't email it either it just sits preparing the document no matter what format I try. I can copy it, but the copies don't open either. I tried deleting documents in pages as well as the app and reinstalling it, but nothing has helped.
Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
Today tring to send email and it just sits there and thinks.... can receive email but not send even a two word message ..any ideas ???

I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails. This just started happening. I have an iPhone and I can send emails from my phone fine. It's just not working on my Macbook. Every time I try to send an email it goes straight to my outbox. Can anyone help?
Thank you for heading me in the right direction. I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information). I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)?? In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port: 465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer." Authentication: Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in. After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message: "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.). The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587. Verify your account settings and try again." That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails. I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me. Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input! Much appreciated! -
Firefox connects to google-analytics for some sites,when i click on links in websites or emails and then gets stuck, and I can never get onto the site. Or opens a new bower behind the one i'm usind that's blank i don't even know it's there untill i close the one i'm using. How do I prevent Firefox from connecting to google-analytics? Export it to the Desktop using the File -> Export commad. This makes a movie of it and you can then share that.
I would caution you that as movie files are very large you might be best uploading to a sharing site or service like Dropbox and sending them a link -
Why is there no email option under site settings in the Business Catalyst Dashboard?
I have pushed a site live, and it has propegated, and looks fine on the Internet, but there is no email option under site settings in the Business Catalyst Dashboard as the tutorial and help screen said there would be.

it says that there should be a "users" field under "Site Settings," and that is where email accounts are set up. There is not, any more than there was a "email" field as referenced in the tutorial (as you can see from the screen shot above). I can no longer correspond with Adobe, since my primary email address on file with Adobe was with the domain that was transferred to Business Catalyst. -

That's exactly what you would get. Create a folder with a suitable name: publish to it. Zip it; email it. Tell them to start with the 'index.html' file inside the folder. The rest will follow - they will see it exactly as they would see an online site, links and all.
Note that there is usually a 20MB limit on email attachments so if your site is image-heavy you might have a problem. An alternative is to post it to your webspace - you could post the zipped file and give them a link to it - that will download it (and it's a preferable way of handing a large file anyway, as they can download it at their convenience rather than being forced to in order to get their other mail). -
Why can I reach other web sites but not my own! w/ Airport Extreme?
I can get on line and reach other sites via Safari and IE with the connection via Airport Extreme. But I can't reach my own web site!!!
And my Mac Mail is not useable because it says,
"Connection Failed: There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account "[email protected]" or try again. The server error encountered was: The server "pop.patternglass.com" cannot be contacted on port 110."
Honestly I've tried! Earthlink hosts my web site and they say its working - and it IS for everyone but me! Comcast is my ISP and they had me disconnect my Airport Extreme and connect my computer directly to the modem. Voila! It all works perfectly. Went back to Airport Extreme and same problem.
There was no 'event' that signaled the change. One minute it was fine last night and the next minute it was gone. Help me, please!An answer to another question I had about Mac Mail fixed this problem (I can get to my web site) but I still can't get mail into my Mac Mail Box!

HP iPrint on iPhone/iPad - Can't email scanned document??? Am I missing something??
I bought a brand new C310A HP Photosmart Premium today to test something for work. I had heard that you could scan from the printer directly to an iPhone and/or iPad. This was nearly a dream come true as we are looking to outfit our outside sales team (@ 40 people) with iPads or iPhones to allow printing and scanning while out in the field. Imagine my surprise when I get this thing setup and load HP iPrint on my phone and scan an image to a PDF and discover that I can't email the PDF document as an attachment. Am I missing something completely obvious here?
Not being able to do this seems so outrageous that I didn't even think to ask if I could email it after scanning or even investigate if it was possible. It's like buying a new car and asking if it has tires. Why of course it would. Why in the world would I want to scan a document to my phone or iPad if I wasn't going to want to send it somewhere using email at some point??
I see you can share your device and I guess access the documents from a PC or Mac directly but this hardly helps if that person has none.
Anybody have an explanation?

As for your issue, you need to provide more information. Firefox is not an email client. You may be having a problem with the email client you use, or with the site you are using to handle emails... -

AOL mail not updating. Spinning wheel just keeps spinning. It hasn't updated in 5 days. G-mail updates normally. I can use the AOL web site and access it on my android phone too, but not on my MacBook Pro. OS 10.6.8
