Thank you for heading me in the right direction. I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information). I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)?? In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port: 465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer." Authentication: Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in. After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message: "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.). The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587. Verify your account settings and try again." That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails. I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me. Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input! Much appreciated!

try to check the email id of the guy you are trying to send the email to as i had the same problem i had written yahoo.com when it was yahoo.in

Try this. Check the primary outgoing mail server username and password and make sure that they are in the settings even if it says that they are optional.
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails. -
my MAc Book PRO 13" Retina display will not update. It crashes every time I try to do an update. I have sent in the information on each update but so far nothing back from Apple. Also it does not matter what I am trying to update, the operating system, and application, each caused the same crash. This mac book is less than a month old.
That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

Close Safari before shutting down your computer. Also, go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions and update your extensions to the most recent version, and if it doesn't work, open Safari > Reset Safari -
I have problems with my macbook pro ... I recently bought "OS X Lion Mountain" but complete installation did not work ... purchases every time when I look biem appstore is still installed ... so now I have OS X version 10.8.3 ...
does it say not installed or does it say "download" in app store purchases?
if it say's download, then it's there for future use if you need to download it again.

I have 8 apps that, when I tried to update, are now stuck on "installing" in the box that says update. every time I try to update another app, it gets frozen like this as well. I was able to quit all apps, but these, as they do not respond. Any ideas?
Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then update your apps one at a time. Do not start the next app until the current one downloads and finishes installing.

I am trying to send photos to another iPhone user, however, every time I try to send it I get a prompt telling me that iMessage has to be enabled. I go into setting and iMessage is enabled but it will not send the photos in iMessage or otherwise.
I have tried to send it to multiple people and keep getting the same response.

I have created a resume on Word and every time I try to send this document through Gmail, the format changes. Every time I try to access my emails on microsoft outlook I get a message from windows that mobileme services have stopped working. windows then tries to find a solution and says mobileme is not installed correctly. When I try to repair or uninstall via the control panel my pc cannot find the route????? I do have an iphone and ipad. What can I do?

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.

I went through all the steps to try to resolve getting the message in a box every time i try to send an e-mail. What next ?
Message is " A copy has been placed in your
Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed."
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My internet works fine as I can send e-mails from my Yahoo account on my MAC no problem.
Address is fine etc.How long has it been going on? I've had my yahoo mess up and if i wait a bit it resolves itself. Yahoo is doing something with their servers and it messes with your mail if your mail happens to be on one of those servers.

'New Icloud Terms and Conditions' window pops up every time I try to check my email, or when I open setting. My email doesn't load because of this, so I haven't been able to check my email for months. When I click, 'view terms' it takes me to my Icloud section in settings, but the terms don't pop up. I plugged it into my iTunes to see if it would pop up, but that didn't work either. My phone is updated, and I'm pretty sure I already accepted the new terms and conditions on the last update a few months back.

If you are having issues with your iPhone continuing to ask you to accept terms and conditions, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

Why does my FaceTime say "the server has encountered an error processing your registration"? it happens every time i try to verify my email address.

I used time machine to restore on a formatted MAC. Now the HDD space has reduced by 100GB but I cannot see any of the files. How do I find and delete those 100GB data from the HDD?

Not necessarily. I'd suggest downloading and installing the "combo" update. That's a combination (thus the clever name) of all the updates to Leopard since it was first released, so installing it should fix anything that's gone wrong since then, such as with one of the normal "point" updates. Info and download available at: http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate Be sure to do a +Repair Permissions+ via Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder) afterwards. -

Can you post the permissions on your Home folder?
Open Terminal, copy and paste this command. Copy the output and post here. If you want to mask out your user name, then paste the output into a text editor and use Find/Replace to change it to something like "username" before pasting it in here.
