Can i exchange my iphone 4 for a new iphone 4 ... my old one has some scratches on the side and i would be willing to pay extra for the phone as long as the plan stays
my iphone which i got last summer has some scratches on the side (but no damages internally) and i was wondering if i could buy a newer iphone 4 by paying a little extra?
Apple does not offer an exchange program.
Physical damage (scratches) are not covered under the warranty.
If you desire a blemish free iPhone, buy a new one at full price then sell your current one to recoup some of the costs.

I've recently had my iphone 5 stolen which was registered to my iclouds, as well as the 'Find my iphone' app.
Since being given a new iphone from an insurance claim, I have tried to register this iphone with the 'find my iphone' app but have had a little trouble doing so, as my old iphone is still registered with my iclouds and thus still associated with the app.
Obviously I don't know how to remove the app from my old device as it's no longer in my possession, so if anyone can give me a step by step to registering my new iphone with the app that would be fantastic!

My laptop has recently broke and is not able to use in any way. I had an Ipod and an Ipad both connected to the itunes on this computer and have purchased a new laptop. However, after downloading itunes i tried to sync my devices with it but it told me that all my contents was going to be erased and could only be connected to one computer... I was wondering if there was any way of of keeping all of my data and allowing my new laptop to replace my old one in account of itunes? Any help will be most appricated !!!
ThanksHello again and sorry to bother you. I was hoping you could help me with iTunes 10.5. This update has been a pain. When I first installed it, my entire library was gone. Luckily, I saved the "iTunes Library" file before updating and copied it in place and my library appeared. But now the problem I'm having is that the iTunes can't find any of the "original" files, even though my iTunes Media file location has not changed (it's on an external network drive". When I click on the "Do you want to find the original file" I can find it in the appropriate folder. I checked the "Preferences" and under "Advanced" I re-mapped it to the appropriate location and already had the 2 boxes for iTunes organizing files checked. Then went to "File" and "Organize Library" and clicked the first check box and then got the "Copying Files" bar. When this was completed, I thought it would be able to find the original files. But I'm still getting the same error message about not being able to find the "original" files. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again for your help.

Syncing iPhone & iPad with new laptop after old one crashed.
The computer (Dell laptop) I had originally synced my iPhone & iPad with crashed. I have a Toshiba laptop that I authorized with my iTunes account but I cannot sync my devices. When plugged in I receive the message waiting for my old laptop to sync. Any suggestions?

I tried getting the update for my new iphone and now it is asking me to activate it again but won't let me, how do I fix this? I had started using it for a few hours and tried getting the update and now it won't let me activate the phone. I also can't call the helpline because it won't let me leave this screen on the phone that says "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes." What it says on iTunes after I fill out the activation info is "There was a problem activating your iPhone. Please contact Verizon Wireless at 1-800-922-0204 to have this iPhone added to your account. Click Continue to be able to explore its features and the App Store." Please help this is driving me nuts!

I'm waiting for my new iPhone 5s to be delivered. I lost my iPhone 5 but did have it backed up on my MacBook Pro. I was using iOS6 at the time. Will I have a problem restoring the data to my new iPhone 5s assuming it will come with iOS7?
No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.

I use a power inverter which works great. You can get one that plugs into your car charger for about $30-$50 on Amazon. You just plug it into your car charger and plug the MBP power pack into that.

What do you mean what should you do? Just because you don't want to pay too much for a phone, doesn't make the price any cheaper. If you can't afford the price of an unlocked phone, then you don't, or can't, buy one.

i changed my email for my apple id, but i can't change my iCloud account because i can't remember my old password, and now i need to use iCloud for my new IPhone but it isn't working, how do i fix that?
If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

The sim card for my new iphone 4, purchased today, is saying the sim card is not installed. I have followed the directions included on the support page but have two problems. 1. I can't open my sim card sleeve with the key and 2. I can't get any apple support until Monday evening - can anyone help please?

Why can't I download the free Apple apps for my new iPhone 5S? It was set up in store and restored from my iPod Touch 5.
Are you logged in with the same account that was used to activate the phone ? If you are, and the apps aren't showing as free, then try logging out of your account by tapping on it at the botto of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if they then show as free.

If your phone is officially unlocked, you will get an officially unlocked iPhone if yours is replaced under warranty. Apple maintains a data base of officially unlocked iPhones & can verify whether your phone is officially unlocked or not. To be safe, point this out to the genius bar, if you go to an Apple store or whoever you talk to, if dealing with AppleCare.
