Can I expand?

I have a 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 iMac that is quickly running out of HD space. I'm thinking about getting an internal 1TB drive. I'm wondering if there's any reason not to do it? I don't have Leopard because I don't have the space on my HD. I have a ton of music and photos - along with all the apps - which are eating up space.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The real limit is the built-in bus of the system. You can only take Parallel ATA hard drives that are frequently listed as EIDE. Do not buy SATA, unless you want to add a specialized PCI SATA card, or put it in an external hard drive case. See my FAQ* on freeing disk space:

Better yet... as there's a lot of "wasted" space w/ too large Month title and empty space surrounding the Month title above and too much space surrounding the month/year slider bar below, how can I minimize these to allow me more usable / valuable calendar "contents" so I don't need to waste so much time clicking "more" just to see the bottom of the truncated third event and find out there are no 4+ events posted that date? i.e. more "user-friendly" presentation?

You haven't said which.
Each panel is usually just a locked object, unlock them and resize the boxes.

Ouch, well there is a problem.
This is the stack of partitions on your old drive
EFI (hidden)
Lion (50GB say)
Bootcamp (50GB say)
Lion Recovery Partiton (hidden)
This is the same stack on your new drive imaged from the old one.
EFI (hidden)
Lion (50GB say)
Bootcamp (50GB say)
Lion Recovery Partiton (hidden)
Emtpy Space (100GB say)
This is what you want
EFI (hidden)
Lion (100GB say)
Bootcamp (100GB say)
Lion Recovery Partiton (hidden)
EFI has to be at the top of the drive and Lion Recovery has to be at the bottom of the drive.
And you only have four partitions.
You can't move the Lion Recovery Partition or Bootcamp partiton, however you can expand the Lion Partition into empty space below it. (but can't delete or move the Lion Recovery partition)
Your Duplicator duplicated perfectly, too perfectly Likely would work with same sized drives/partitions.
This is what your going to need to do.
You need to move the Bootcamp partition to a blank external drive using WinClone and disconnect. This is so you have two backups of it. (one on your old 500GB drive)
You will need a drive enclousre or IDE/SATA to USB adapter cable for the older 500GB drive and option key boot from it. (some enclosures can't be booted from so check first Other World Computing is good place to ask)
Download the free Carbon Copy Cloner, grab any new files off the new 750GB internal drive to the old 500GB your booted from.
Open Apple's Disk Utility and Erase with Zero option the entire internal 750GB drive and let it rip, this will map off as many bad sectors and improve reliability.
Now use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the 500GB Lion + Lion Recovery Partitions to the internal 750GB, it will "fix" things and place Lion Recovery at the bottom of the drive where it belongs, give all the extra space to OS X Lion.
Next your going to have to follow WinClones instructions to restore your Bootcamp, likely you will have to recreate the Bootcamp partition first (in Bootcamp) to the size you want and then clone. Likely Winclone may "fix" Windows to recognize it's in a new larger partition now. I don't know you'll have to check as I haven't used it.
When Bootcamp creates the partition it will place it near the bottom next to the Lion Recovery Partition.
As you know you will have to re-validate Windows with Lord Redmond or it expires as you changed the hardware.

Yes, any 2.5" dia SATA HDD will be compatible. The largest are 2 TB at the present time> Here is a selection from OWC:

You will need a #00 Phillips and a #6 Torx drivers to install the HDD.

A Column in a query which can be expand

Hi guru,
i would like to build a query in which i can expand and close columns.
The first column will have the Age( <= 20[5, 10, 15, 20]), the other columns ´will be 5, 10, 15, 20.(This columns can be expand oder close.)
How can build a report which shows me the age 20 with the number of empoloyee when it il close and when it is open each agecategory till twenty.

You can try to create a structure with the char and specific selections that you like. Right click the structure and choose Hierarchy Display. See here for details:

Are you certain your work is compute-bound?
Insufficient RAM memory or too much competition for too few drives causes a system to have unused processor power, but complete the work too slowly.

BEx: In Query Design I can't EXPAND Dim to select Char (missing + sign)

Hi,
I am in BI 7, but created some queries in RRMX i.e. the 3.x query designer.
I went back to create a new query and I see my InfoArea but no means to expand it to select a cube, missing + sign and I can't expand the InfoArea.
When I managed to open one of the old queries, in the query design, I see my design but all the Dimensions are missing the + sign and I can't expand them to select characteristics;
In the same token, I can't expand the KEY Figure tree to select key figures, etc.
Any help?

    1) a   There is no such rule as when to use query designer or analyzer. Essentially creating a query is done in query designer only. The only thing when using analyser to open query designer is that you can directly go to that query and change it and run the same in the analyser(Excel). To change a query when you directly go to query designer, you need to open the query manually using the "open query" button and you cant execute the report in excel from there(only web). As you can see there is no real difference, in my personal experience using query designer and then running the query on the web is much faster than using the analyser. Also excel has a limit of 65536 rows after which you cant really display the result. There is no such limit in the web analyser.

2)      There may be a problem with maybe the patch level or something. No real idea why this is occuring. You can definitely open the report in excel using the BI7 analyser. Programs -> Business explorer ->Analyzer.

Design Studio : How can I expand all hierarchy at once in dimension filter

Dear Colleagues.
I am currently working on design studio. I need your advises to implement BW hierarchies in my dashboard.
Is it possible to expand all hierarchy in Dimension Filter of Design Studio?
I tried to expand hierarchy in data source api, like 'expandNode' or 'setDrillLevel'.
These functions can be expanded all hierarchy in Cross tab. but it can not be applied to Dimension Filter.
Please help me to achieve this.

Can't expand Places "Countries", "States/Provinces", "Cities" or "Places"

Using Aperture 3.2 on Mac OS 10.7.2.
In Places, The top bar showing "Home", "Countries", "States/Provinces", "Cities" and "Places" doesn't work. I can't expand any of the drop downs to refine my search. It has had worked in the past, but I'm not sure what I've done, if anything, that's stopping it from working now.
Anyone ever had this problem?

Same issue here. I just did some testing, though, to see if I can recreate this issue and/or find a work-around and I can confirm what the previous poster has stated.
For starters, let's all admit that this is one of a ton of things that are wrong with Aperture - especially on 10.7. That said, I've discovered when the behavior happens and how to get around it. Or, maybe somebody at Apple can explain to us all why Aperture functions the way that I have discovered it functions (at least on my computer - and probably at least on two of yours).
Scenario 1 - In the Inspector's Library tab, click on "Places", under the "Library" heading. Result: NO location sort drop-down menus are displayed.
Scenario 2 - Open any project that you KNOW has been assigned to locations, so that all or one photo from that project are displayed. Then, in the upper, right-hand corner, click on the "Places" icon to enter "Places View" for that SPECIFIC project. Result: Location sort drop-down menus APPEAR. However, like the original poster, users can't navigate "home" or anywhere elses using these menus from within a project. You're stuck.
My question is: why do these sort menus only appear on specific albums and not in the "global" Places view?

When I open it with IE 5.0 at work, it comes up fine. But at home on IE 6 for XP, the window opens, I can see almost all of what is inside it, then collapses on me. And I can't expand it because Yahoo's settings don't allow that in this particular window.
This has happened to me a few times, elsewhere. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

you require to down load the same ,

I was in the same situation. GameChannel operated OK at work but not on XP system at home. I'm not sure what finally made Gamechannel work on my IE 6 XP system but here it is. I loaded j2re-1_4_0-win and msjavx86 (windows virtual machine). Then uninstalled Java. I then reloaded Java and then ran the stattracker. After running stat tracker and checking the always trust Yahoo Gamechannel worked. Go figure....

Can't expand organization calendars Outlook 2010

We have a user running Outlook 2010 with an Exchange 2007 back end who can not expand their main organisation calendar once it is added to their list of calendars.
I've tried checking their permissions in exchange an AD on the user account and in the relevent security groups. We've also tried an office and calendar re-add just to be thorough.
"This group cannot be opened. For more information, contact your microsoft Exchange Server Administrator"

What does "their main organization" refer to? Is it a Calendar Group in the organization?
Please try to remove the permissions and regrant the permissions to check if it make any difference.
If you mean a calendar group, how many calendars are there in the group? Please note that Outlook 2010 has a limit of 30 calendars selected at any one time. See:

On the side label find the model number.. A1084 for example is old. It will not work.
The new one A1392 and the earlier N wireless A1264 will both work.

Can't expand downloaded zip-files

I download zip files and can't expand them. If I compress my own files, they are easily expanded. The error message reads: Unable to unarchive "document.zip" into "Desktop". (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)
I have tried to create a folder and drop the zipped file there and expand it. Checked permission, which are read & write.
Any suggestions?

Sorry, I just don't know for sure as I never use the archive function.
As most of my stuff is either graphics or movies I have a deep mistrust of anything that might affect quality!
