Can i format numbers with spry?

Can i format numbers for display with spry? I've got a number
field and want to put commas in for thousand seperators and also
need to pad some numbers with zeros....kinda like numberformat()
really in CF, else i guess I have to do it with in my data
preparation,

Hi John,
So if I were going to make this work with your XML, I would
create a custom column on the fly after the data was loaded. This
custom column would strip the formatting and convert the resulting
numbers into real numbers. Also, for any rows that had nothing, it
would stick a zero in this custom column.
Then when it comes time for sorting, you sort on the custom
column instead of the formatted one.

Can't format HDD with Leopard Disk Utility

I have two identical drives P/N: WD 7500AAK (Western Digital 750GB MyBook (USB)). I formatted one drive using 'Disk Utility' under Tiger with a Volume Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with no problem. I am now trying to format the other drive under Lepoard and the formatting fails 100% of the time. The drive will format to Fat16, but not to the desired Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Unfortunately I no longer have a computer with the Tiger OS. Any idea what is going wrong? The drive is useless if I can't format it.

Try partitioning the drive GUID before formatting it. This article explains how to format a drive for Time Machine. Once you have gotten rid of the Master Boot Record you should be able to reformat the drive the way you want.
One poster reported that zeroing out a Maxtor did not get rid of the Master Boot Record but I don't know if that would necessarily be true for a WD drive.

How can I format numbers to give me a whole remainder instead of a decimal? Say 113/24 = 4 with 17 remainder? instead of 4.7083333

I am using numbers for inventory at work. Head office wants everything in cases and a remainder. Say 4 cases of Bottled Soda with 17 remaining = 113bottles. When I punch it into numbers I get 4.7083333. How can I get rid of the decimal and end up with a whole number as the remainder? Is this making anysense?

How can I format-table with two different variables

I have a script who's purpose is to go through all the mailboxes in exchange and look for any with SG_ or Group listed in the Full Access Permissions. The script works though I'm having trouble formatting the data in a way that I can use it in Excel.
Ultimately I'd like it to report the Name of the mailbox and the name of the entry listed in the Full Access Permissions that has SG_ or Group in the name. Currently the output is the name of the mailbox and then on a separate line the full name of the security
group.
I'm trying to have it so that each part is in it's own column. That will make it easy to review in excel.

Thanks for the response but what I am looking for is even simpler than that.
The script goes through every mailbox we have.
It checks the Full Access Permissions for anything with SG_ or group listed in the Full access permissions.
It then should write out to a file the name of the mailbox and the entry in the Full access permissions that contains SG_ or _Group
so something like this:
Mailbox Name <---New ColumN--->Entry
Mailbox1<---New ColumN--->SG_Mailbox1
Ignore the <---New ColumN---> as I simply put that in to emphasize space between the two columns.

Formatting Numbers with BPC NW 10.0 SP19 1 in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint 2010

Dear BPC Experts,
We are trying to use the BPC Add-in for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; however, we cannot figure out how to get the numbers in a report properly formatted.
I created a report directly in Word:
Then, on the EPM Ribbon I attempted to go to Options>Document Options and use the Formatting tab Number Format field and received the popup:
Error details:
I Copied a report from the Excel Add-in Report Actions>Copy Report to PowerPoint Report Actions>Paste Report but the number formatting is lost and I get the same error as with Word if I attempt to use Options>Presentation Options.
Any assistance with number formatting with the Word or PowerPoint Add-ins would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Lisa,
Its simply saying that the both formats are different so its unable to apply the formatting.
in order to apply formatting in Word we have a special tab Design.
first create a report and then next go to design tab and choose any one of the default formatting table.
the formatting should be vary dynamically. please see the below images as reference.

Missing Invalid Format option with Spry TextField

I am inserting a Spry Validation Text Field into a form for an email address. The only options I have from the preview states menu in the property inspector are these: Initial, Required and Valid. There is no option for Invalid Format.
I am following along with an exercise in Dreamweaver CS5 Classroom In a Book Lesson 13.
I have worked back through the lesson in case I had missed something but nothing leaps out at me.
I would appreciate any assistance in tracking down the issue.

I've checked the samples.
The standard submit example validates the fields the XHR example does not.
I added the following code from the XHR sample
if (Spry.Widget.Form.validate('register') == true)
Spry.Utils.submitForm('register', registerResponse);
However Spry.Widget.Form.validate('register') always returns true regardless of the state of the Spry validation
Any more ideas to get the XHR submit to recognise the state of the Spry validation for the form

Can't enter numbers with shift (while entering a password), Can't enter numbers with shift (while entering a password)

Okay, here is the deal.
Whenever I login or a something asking my password pops up I can't enter the numbers while using shift.
I have to put CAPS LOCK on for some reason, and I don't know why.
I recently formatted my mac and re-installed Mountain Lion and since then this error occurs. Very strange.
Any ideas?

I couldn't correct all the font duplicates because some were used by the system.
If you want to know more about OS X font management, read Font Management in OS X, by Kurt Lang.
Not sure what you mean by Update (Combo) I have automatic updates turned on. Do I need to do still more to assure an updated system?
The only reason I suggested that was because your Apple Discussions "My Settings" system profile lists Mac OS X (10.6.3) as your current system.

But I need each part to always display with two digits and

I've searched documentation and I do not see how to add a $ (dollar sign) to a number and how to add a comma after 3 digits.

In PLD is this possible, but also about the issue of setting up your database. If you set the currency as $ Dollar then you will see it as such in print. The same with the insert.
If the dollar had another name, then you can concatenate a text field indicating $ with a formula field to extract the coin value you wish to view.

Entering phone numbers with an extention in the contacts app?

How to enter a phone number in the contacts app phone number section so that it will automaticly dial the extention or pause and then dial the extention? i.e. (123) 123-4567 ext890

When you manually dial on a land line or with other cell phones, does it matter if you omit the "(0)"? Is it in EVERY number? What happens if you manually dial the iPhone with the (0)?
I don't know the official "standard" dialing format where you are, but what was programed into the iOS doesn't appear to require those characters, and the phone can't recognize numbers with them as telephone numbers.
In the US, land line carriers usually require a "1" added to the beginning of a long distance call to go through. Most cell carriers don't need the 1, but the call goes through with or without it.
