Can I get rid of all email at once?

Overview of inboxes shows 400+ unread emails. When I open mailbox it shows "No mail". How do I get rid of these ghosts?

You cannot bulk delete from the Mailboxes screen.  You have to tap Edit, then check each email you want to delete, and when all are checked, then tap Delete.
Go to the Mailboxes, and select the Account, then Trash.
Tap Edit, then at the bottom, Delete All and then confirm Delete All.
That is the closest you get to bulk deleting.

Can I get rid of all the passwords in my phone, and just turn it on?

If you're referring to activation lock, no. If the phone is activation locked, you can not activate it without the credentials originally used to lock it.
Why don't you explain exactly what the problem is.
If you have a passcode set and don't want one, then set up Touch ID to make it faster for you to access the phone. Turning off the lock screen passcode entirely is not smart.

Some, possibly, but shouldn't be a problem.

Much of it is OSX and other things needed to run your Mac.
See The Storage Display for an explanation, and don't miss the link to Where did my Disk Space go?

  • HT5100 How can I get rid of all the doubles on my Ipad, Ipod and Mac?

how can I get rid of all my double songs, pics, and videos on my Ipod, Itunes, ipad and mac?

I've used Brasso to remove minor scratches/scuffs from my Nano and 5th Gen iPod. It works pretty well, and it's available at any hardware store. Your local supermarket might even carry it in the isle with cleaning products.
I don't know how well it would work for you. Having the iPod dragged around the floor sounds pretty rough. If it has deep scratches, there might not be anything you can do for it.

  • My ical is showing "on my mac" "iCloud" and "yahoo" calendars. I just want one calendar that will sync up to my iPhone. How can I get rid of all these Calendars???

My ical is showing "on my mac" "iCloud" and "yahoo" calendars. I just want one calendar that will sync up to my iPhone. How can I get rid of all these Calendars??

'On My Mac' and Yahoo calendars won't sync to iCloud. You can move them to iCloud, but then Yahoo will lose contact with its calendars. if you are happy to sync onlly with iCloud, and thus to your iPhone, you can move the calendars: you will have to do it one at a time, and the process is just a trifle convoluted - it's described in the first set of numbered instructions here:

  • Can't get rid of old email address

Since purchasing my iPad, I changed internet carriers and changed my email address. If I go to iTunes & App Store in Settings on my iPad, it still says my Apple ID is the now invalid email address. Can't get pass that point. Wants me to put in a Password for that ID that no longer exists.
Created a new Apple account to no avail.

The last thing that you want to do is to create a new Apple ID since purchases are always tied to the Apple ID that was used to make the purchases. You want to change the old Apple ID email address to the new one.
Did you follow these instructions to change your Apple ID?
Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
If you followed those instructions and all went as it should, you can sign out of your old ID in settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID. Then sign in with the new ID. You should also take a look at this.

I have all of my settings for mail and notifications set to either vibrate only or off, yet I still get a bleep every time a new email comes in, and a little flute-like noise when sending an SMS.  How do I get rid of these?  They are really annoying!

For new mail I have virbate only; for sent mail I have no sound and no vibration, but I still get a ding when an email comes in.

  • Help!! how can I get rid of all this icloud music on my phone??

I just upgraded to ios 7, and now there is a huge amount of my son's music on my phone and I cannot find any way to get rid of it. Oh, how I loathe apple file management!
This music must be from itunes on his computer--we use a common account. I have manage music manually checked, I never sync to itunes. All of the unwanted music has little clouds with arrows on it. It does not appear in my music library, and in usual apple idiotic fashion, there is no way to delete from the phone itself
I have deleted my icloud account, which ios 7 so graciously reactivated, but the unwanted songs still appear in my playlist.
Please help--this destroys my music library
    TIA

Go in Settings. Then in "Itunes & AppStore". Deselect "Music" and "Videos" on top. This would solve the problem with the Music and Videofiles in the cloud, that you seem to see.
The music isn't actually on your iphone. It just shows you what is in the cloud.

  • How can i get rid of all my "other" space? it takes up 1.47 gb.

My iPod has slowly accumulated 1.47 gb of "other" space. How do I get rid of it?

By restoring the iPod to factory defaults.  Other can be made up by things such as album artwork, the iPod's operating system, etc.  However, sometimes it can also include corrupt files or data that is no longer recognizable by iTunes or your iPod.

  • HOW CAN I GET RID OF ALL MY PICTURES IN LIGHTROOM ?

I SENT MY PICTURES FROM MY COMPUTER TO LIGHTROOM 5  AND NOW WHEN I TRY TO WORK ON ANYONE OF THEM   I CANNOT LOCATE THE PANEL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OR THE LEFT SIDE. HOW CAN I GET ACCESS TO THE TWO PANELS?

Click the little triangle arrow heads in the vertical center of the left and right sides to open the left and right panels.  Or hit Shift-Tab to alternative hide and show them.
You also need to be in Library mode to click from one folder to the next.

  • How can i get rid of all of the "other" stuff on my ipod.

I can't get it and my ipod is over capacity because of the "other" stuff on there .

An other less that about 1 1/2 GB is normal.
If larger that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.  Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
To restore to factory settings/new iPod see:

  • How can I get rid of all the 'adobe' sources listed when importing in Lightroom?

How can I get these files to eject/disappear? I have tried searching them in finder and can't find them? Thank you.

Those appear to be disk-image files (extension .DMG) somewhere on your hard drive, perhaps that are mounted as volumes and you need to eject or unmount them.  They are likely installers downloaded from Adobe.

  • How can I get post of all email-adresses in the same postbox?

    I use 5 IMAP-email-adresses.
I don´t want to look into serveral postboxes to find my mails. In my outlook is it possible with pop-adresses, but I use IMAP-adreses to sync my mails.
It is possible in my Samsung handy with android Samsung-email program, but I want the same in Windows-Thunderbird on my other computers.
    Does anybody know a solution?
    Best wishes
    Grue2002

Pop mail accounts can use a Global Inbox, but IMAP mail accounts cannot because they are remotely accessing server to see and synchronise folders.
However, there is the option to use 'Unified' folders.
    'View' > 'Folders' > Unified
    or
'Menu icon' > 'Folders' > Unified
This gives the impression of a Global Inbox.
It shows the Inbox containg all messages, plus the individual Inboxes for mail accounts as sub folders to Inbox, just in case you need to access separately.

  • How can I get rid of all the useless junk in the new iTunes for Mac?

I'm sorry, but I've been using iTunes ever since it was introduced, and I LOATHE this latest version's (11.0.2.26) interface. Is there anyway I can configure it so that it's more like the nice & simple older versions?

    Hi Bart,
I think I spoke to soon.  I got 2 of your replies, back to back.  Like I said, this sure isn't a user friendly site.
btw:  Totally off topic.  I'm sure you heard about Amanda Berry & the other two women being found after missing for 10 yrs.
Well, I just got an email today of Mr. Ramsey's (the man who rescued them), interview converted into a
song.  Quite the catchy tune.  It's a Hit.  Here's the link.
