Can I place all my SQL's in one object?

Hi,
Is there a way to have a business component
object where I can place all my SQL's and
call methods off of it.
A method that displays that selects all
items in an item table
Say.. I have a select where the 'where'
clause will change upon user choice or
the 'order by' clause changes according to
the user's sorting preference.
Similarly with other SQL's without
associating the business component to one
perticular table or view.
Any Help, Ideas Greatly appriciated..

The Business Components for Java framework supports the "View Object" component that encapsulates a SQL statement and makes it easy to work with its result set.
View Objects can be created at design time using the View Object wizard, so that their SQL statement can be pre-determined, or they can be created at runtime with a completely dynamic SQL statement.
Any View Object supports the ability to programmatically augment its WHERE clause with additional predicates, set bind variable values, and other common operations.
View Objects coordinate with Entity Objects to enable your result set to be fully scrollable and fully updateable, no matter how many underlying entity object may be participating in the join query.
You can set a View Object to bet in "Forward Only Mode" to more efficient read through the data if you do not need to cache or update it. For example, to "rip" forward only through some data to format it for display on a web page.

Not if you first do a sync and have iTunes make a backup. However, if your only copy of the iTunes data is in the Touch, then you need to first copy the data to a new iTunes Library using third-party software such as Phone To Mac.

I have a lot of speaker notes that I need to apply a specific voice to. How do I apply the same voice to all of the speaker notes in the whole project at once? Or at least more than one? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! I am working with Captivate 6.

Thanks. That tip definitely helps! You just have to be careful when you use the CNTRL button and not highlight the name of the slide as you try to highlight the voices. If you do that, then the drop down box becomes “unclickable”. Unfortunately, when using the control button, it is sometimes impossible not to highlight the name of the slide as well.

I have had some luck doing the following: Export each clip from imovie as a quicktime clip. Open iDVD and create a new project. Import a few stills into iDVD and then click on the button that gets created to get into the screen where the individual slides appear. Drag each quicktime into that screen and arrange in the order you want. You can then delete the stills. The button that appeared when you dropped in the stills will launch a complete show.

Interesting way of putting it.
When it comes to SQL and PL/SQL, SQLPlus and SQL Developer do not really 'run' very much.
Most of the time, these things are just shells that pass the SQL and PL/SQL requests to the appropriate engine (database) which will run the command.
The challenges are:
- will the shell interpret the request as something to pass to an engine?
- will the shell display the response from the engine appropriately?

Can not see all the SQL server views

My SQL Server 2005 (SP2 STD) has about 1000 views. When I created a Crystal Report using Crystal Report 10, I can only see about 225 views are listed in Database Expert. Here is the procedure to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new Crystal Report
2. Create a new connection using ODBC RDO
3. Drill into DSN Name->DB Name->dbo->Views. Only the first 200 or so views in alphabetical order are listed on Available Data Sources on the left pane.
I am using SQL authentication and sa account to connect to SQL. So security should not be the problem. I can also use Access 2003 linked table to see all the views in my SQL server.
Is there a restriction on how many views can be listed in Crystal Data Source? Is there another way to add data source to Report without using Database Expert?

There is a default limit of 8000 objects that Crystal will see in the database.
I would suggest right clicking on your datasource and selecting Options. In the Data Explorer uncheck Tables and Stored Procedures leaving Views selected > press OK > then right click again and refresh.
If the limit was being reached then you should now see at least more Views if not all.
The default limit can be edited in the Registry (*Always recommended to back up the registry before editing).
The key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Crystal Decisions or Business Objects > (version number) > Crystal Reports > Fetch options > NTablesMax

I never liked having the navigation buttons spread across the top. Seems logical and more convenient to have them all in one place. I do not see a way to customize their placement.

You can open the customization window and drag them to their positions at the left.

If you have all of your content in your iTunes library then you can simply backup the old device, then restore that backup to the new one. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Easy, just restore the new iPod from the backup of the old iPod. You should be offered this restore option when the new iPod is first connected to the computer. All your videos. music and apps have to be in your iTunes library since they are synced to the iPod and not in the backup. You will have to enter new keychain items like passwords since they only restore to the same device unless you use an encrypted backup.
