Can we integrate .swf file in java script ?

Hello Friends,
We implemented one concept in Flex and now would like to integrate with JavaScript. Earlier we integrated an Applet code but now, we developed the concept in Flex, however, I am unable to integrate the concept in java script.
Can anyone help me out with the procedure to integrate flex swf file in java script ?

What version of FlashPro are you using? If you want a self contained app that doesn't load external resources, publish an AIR app, which will work on Windows or OSX. I'm using OSX so I can't really help with .exe projector files, but it looks like the latest version of FlashPro no longer outputs projector files—I think everything is AIR now.
If you really want to go the projector route, I'm guessing Jeffrey Smith's suggestion of finding an older version of Flash Player would be simpler.
So for AIR, set your Publishing target to AIR for Desktop. Then under File>AIR settings:
Output as: Application with runtime embedded
Include files: Add all of your resources—the swf ID generated and it's resource folder
In the Signature tab click New to create a self-signing Certificate (if you were developing commercial software you would need a third party certificate). You can save the certificate anywhere.
When you publish you should find an AIR application file (.app) file in the directory with your .fla

Load an Advanced Print Setting in Acrobat via Java-Script

Hi there,
I'd like to know, if there's a way to load an advanced print setting in the Acrobat via Java Script or some other way? (See Screenshot)
Or is it possible to set an created setting as default-setting? (also via Java or something)
Or can somebody tell me, where these created print settings are saved? (in Acrobat X)

Why wouldn't you want to set itas part of an input/output parameter?
This is really the right way ofdoing this. Otherwise you'll end up with hardcoded variable name in your customcomponent and that not ideal.
If you're trying to define a default value for it coming from a properties file, you can just make it a "Configuration" variable and set the value from adminui.

Below are the three where we have specail character

The above 3 are having some specail characters which we need to
replace as mentioned below
need to use a Function/Method in some scripting language like Java
script to replace the special character with a predefined sequence eg:
single quote with “a1b1” before inserting the data in to the data base
and then while retrieving the record from the database replace “a1b1”
with single quote.
Note#:It is a text area where user can either enter or copy and paste
the content.

Hi Anoo,
always remember to put your apex and database versions, it makes it easier to help.
You mentioned stripping out special characters and then putting them back for display. Is there a particular reason why?
If you're having difficulty querying the 'special' characters from SQL, you can create a view to handle that complexity.
The examples you gave don't contain any characters you can't query on. Maybe I'm missing something.

Can I parse Text files in Java Script to populate in select boxes.

The scenario is as follows:
I have two select boxes, the second one depends on the first one for its values.
Values corresponding to the selection made in the first select box are available in a text file.
Can I parse the text file to fill in the values in the second select box through javascript?

ich habe folgendes Problem: aus einer .pdf-Datei möchte ich die Bookmarks, die ich selbst erstellt habe, auslesen (warum führt zu weit).
Dafür verwende ich folgendes Script, das ich von www.evermap.com/javascript.asp habe:

Acrobat gibt über die Console als Fehler zurück: bm is undefined.
Ich verstehe das so, das ich bm als var erst definierten muss. Aber wie? Javascript ist mir zu hoch...

Thank you for the detailed response. I tried your suggestions and neither works.
LOV issue:
Within the Business View manager, i right-click on the LOV object and click "Edit List of Values..." and i get a dialog box that only shows me Available fields, List of Value Fields used, description field, and Referenced objects. Along with buttons for Clear Instance & Refersh Status.
I have read similar posts to what you suggested but never get to the same place as described.
Please advise....
as for _Max Number LOV _
I have researched this as well and found the same suggestion you made. But the PRM file does not have that value, and the file contains all XML code

Java Script Question (No Toolbars, ... for whole application)

Hi Everybody!
I have the following problem. We have created a web-application, which consists of about 100jsp pages and several class-files.
Now we want to hide the toolbar, the menubar and the addressbar for every jsp page in the application. I know, that normally this is done by using window.open(...) but then I had to alter every link in the nearly finished system.
Is there another possible solution to achive this goal with minimum effort?

no, but why do you have about 100 window.open() calls? Most web applications don't jump between windows. And it's not like you can hide that stuff in the current window anyway.

the format is GMT's format, but the string shown in the end isn't GMT, but UTC. why? and how to change it to

I would guess that, at least with 1.3.1, you will have to do it yourself.

How to Enable Custom Java Scripts for forms in Planning 11.1.2.2

I am working on Planning 11.1.2.2 right now.
Planning admin guide says, there is no explicit requirement to enable java Script for planning forms.
I set simple alert to see text "Hello World" in function validateForm() function in custom/validateData.js file - to see and test that alert when I save data for my selected application/form.
Closed javascript file and workspace, and planning application web page. Since I have not to do anything new to enable this java script alert, I opened that form and saved data to see if I can see my alert.. I got no alert, except "data are saved".
Has anything changed since last version? Am I missing something? Or, do I need to recycle services to get this alert?

Not sure what I missed, but I still have a hard time finding my "Hello World" alert.
What I did, is here.
a. Cleared all cookies and temp files from IE.
b. Updated validateData.js file from ear / war files using 7-zip program at given path from your link.
c. Stopped EPM services
d. Dropped tmp folder.
e. Started EPM services and let system deploy ear file (with my java script code).
All services are up. I can see EAR file deployed and java script file ValidateData.js has all my changes in new tmp folder now.
I am able to open my application and form.
But, my "Hello World" alert is still not appearing. Form is saved and saw message as usual.
One exception I noticed in my path. I have ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\.... in place of ....user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\Planning_0\.... in my path. Planning_0 is replaced by EPMServer0 in this version. Rest is all same.

This code works if the info entered in the textareadInfo field has one line with no carriage return.
How can assign value to textareaInfo field contains multi-line string with carriage return?

replace all "\r\n" (carriage return) in the string with "\\r\\n", so that it appears as "\r\n" in javascript.
In jdk 1.4, you can use((String)session.getAttribute("textareaInfo")).replaceAll ("\r\n", "\\\\r\\\\n")
