Can I prevent google analytics from placing its script on pages I open?

<p style="color:red;">I resent google analytics for placing its script on every page that website builders ask it to.
Users place a script like this on their page, which then google does when this request script is present. It always looks similar to this:<br><br>

When you open any page containing this script, it will write google's analytic script at the top of that page, this in turn, collects data about you and your browsing. At the bottom of the page is the second half of this b.s. script.
How can I program Firefox to recognize this particular string at onload and jimmy this script so it can't write the script it's meant to?<br><br>
Microsoft and others also have such gimmicks I'd like to jam. MS puts a 1x1 pixel "img" tag, which isn't meant to be noticed, but Firefox automatically performs a 'get' for it. This phony image is really a reference number that ends up cached.<br><br>Even this FireFof Help Page puts a similar script on this page:<br><br><code> <script src="/media/js/webtrends.[my spoiler]js" defer=""></code><br><br>
Is anyone else ticked off by this? If so, can you offer help?<br><br>

Hello SkyeVeran, check if exist inside the "Programs" in windows, go from Start button > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program or Program and Features > find it and uninstall, also uninstall any other unwanted suspicious program.
also, check if exist in your extensions, click the 3-bar menu button > Add-ons > Extensions or Appearance > select if exist as an add-on > click Remove button.
after the above, Reset Firefox
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Troubleshooting Information''.Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
#At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox"[[Image:Button reset]]. Click on it.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

How can I run Google Analytics on my site being hosted in Business Catalyst?

Hi,
I already have an existing website which is hosted, and of course I am the domain owner.
I have created a new modified site in Adobe Muse CC and will wish to upload this new site to my domain once completed.
I will need to run Google Webmaster tools etc before I replace the old site.
I do not wish to replace the old site as yet prior to completing the new site in Muse CC
At present I am "subscribed" to Google Analytics/Webmaster tools as a webmaster under my webmaster site (different) and have placed the "google verification code" metatag in my new site's "page properties <head></head tags only", and have uploaded to Business Catalyst.
Business Catalyst are not my hosts for this site once it becomes "live". They are my "Trial Hosts"
? how can I run google analytics and tools for this new site prior to lauch (ie replacing my old site) ?

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. First the information has to be entered on the home page. So the path is Home page> Page properties> Metadata> HTML for <head>. Secondly I was entering the information from the downloaded html file rather than the code they provide under the alternate methods tab during the verification process . Don't use the computer in your lap, or on a blanket or pillow. The case bottom is part of the heat dissipation system so it needs air underneath. If you must use the computer in your lap, get a lapboard. There are cheap, even more so if you make one yourself.
If the computer is a older MBP with silver keys, avoid "clamshell" mode when using an external monitor. Those models let a lot of heat escape through the keyboard. The black-key Unibody versions don't seem to rely so much on the keyboard as a vent.
Like eww said, what feels hot to you may not threaten the computer's well-being. Get a temperature monitoring utility. I like this one:

It runs politely in the background and puts the readout in the menubar:
so you don't have to invoke Dashboard like some other temp monitors require. As Dashboard loads all its widgets as soon as it's invoked, the extra widget processes can run up the temps and you don't get a true average use temp.
If you use Dashboard a lot, those processes stay active after the first launch and can eat processor cycles as well as increase temps. I use DashQuit, a widget that shuts down Dashboard when I'm done without requiring a computer restart. It's here:

I'm having a similar but slightly different problem. My company just migrated to Gmail, and it's saving mail drafts every 30 seconds into my Trash folder.
I unchecked the "Show in IMAP" preference in the Gmail settings, but my Drafts folder completely disappeared. I went back and checked it and the folder reappeared (with my drafts still in there).
I like the idea if starting an email on my laptop and having the option of finishing it on my iPhone or iPad, so only saving Drafts locally would not be ideal.

Can't prevent unwanted toolbar from loading in Acrobat Pro 9

I downloaded an evaluation copy of EverMap AutoBookmark plug-in. I prefer not to automatically open toolbars that I don't use regularly when first opening Acrobat, but I can't keep the AutoBookmark toolbars from loading, even if I uncheck those particular toolbars. EverMap support claims that it is a problem in Acrobat. I have also had the same issue with a free plug-in from the Acrobat for Legal Professionals site. Plug-ins work fine, but I can't prevent the toolbars from loading on startup.
Anyone else experience this issue?

Sometimes it is simplest to simply enter the Acrobat folder and move the plugins that are a problem. Just copy then to a backup so you can put them back when you need them. I think that the presence or absence of the plugins is all that Acrobat needs.

Your template contains an IE Conditional Comment that is adding 30px of top padding to #sidebar1. This padding may required in older versions of IE but not IE9.

To fix it, change [if IE] to [if lt IE 9]

BUT once the field is there you can NOT prevent that the user fills it with data.
all you can do is on PAI check if the data the user inputted was good or bad, and clear his inputs, but you can NOT prevent him inputting something.

You can't so far as I know. You can however, shut it down after it's connected to power and it should not power back on as long as it's connected. If the power is disconnected/reconnected, it will power back on.
If you just want to avoid calls, etc. while it's plugged in, you could just put it in airplane mode.

You can't prevent it, no. You could continually set the document modified flag to false, which would prevent regular 'Save', but they could always do 'Save As' -- nothing can stop that.

I chekced this FF 3.6 and there is no problem with this and other versions. FF4 having this problem.

Can you prevent Procurement Wizard from popping up when Procurement Document is checked on the Logistics tab?
We would like to handle all Procurement Documents in a process separate from entry of the Sales Order. Is there a way to not have the Procurement Wizard pop up automatically when a Sales Order has Procurement Document checked and is then added?

Hi Alan,
Please check Note No. :1524113. There is a change in working of Procurement Wizard as follows which is mentioned in the Note.
In the "Customer" window of the procurement confirmation wizard, the "Include All Open Sales Orders" checkbox was added. If you select this checkbox, all open sales orders with unfulfilled purchase quantities for the selected business partners are displayed.
If you do not select this checkbox, only those sales orders are displayed for which the "Procurement Document" option was checked or that use a drop-ship warehouse and have unfulfilled purchase quantities.
Check in Demo if you do not tick the checkbox 'Procurement Document' and in the Procurement Confirmation wizard, use the 'Include All Open Sales Orders, whether the same helps.
