Can I run an embedded program on me LEGO Mindstorm 2.0 using LABVIEW??

Hello guys,
 I am working now on my Lego mindstorm 2.0.. But i have a problem on my robot on how to work with this problem:
    I made a security robot, it has ultrasonic sensor. the ultrasonic sensor is set up to 15 inches. Once the ultrasonic sensor detects a object it will alarm.
   .(I do the programming in the Lego Mindstorm software not with Labview.)   and now I want to do with my robot is when the sensor detects it will send a
    SMS Message to my cellphone. My friend tells me that once the sensor detects it must connect the NXT BLUETOOTH to the BLUETOOTH  of the
    cellphone. I believe that I can use labview with my problem.
   and the cellphone will text to my cellphone. Can i do it with Labview? Can i save a program to my NXT brick to do that? because the first cellphone
  works as a transmitter and the second cellphone will recieve the Message. Can you please give me ideas and example to do this. I am really new to
 Labview. I use labview 9.0 trial version. Thank you.

It sounds like you are short on time and desperate for solutions! Unfortunately, I'm not aware of anyone that has already completed this exact task and has example code available.
Please go back and re-read my previous post about different modes of communication. The NXT will not be able to accept SMS messages -- it can only accept Bluetooth messages sent through the Serial Port Profile. I'm pretty sure Java provides functionality that would allow you to do this.
Have you considered alternate programming languages for the NXT? You can find a short comparison of languages here: http://www.botmag.com/articles/10-31-07_NXT.shtml
Keep in mind that we can't offer much assistance with other languages, but if those languages are more familiar to you, they may help you get to a solution more quickly.

    this will run the java program in the background.It'll just use the Windows Java Console instead of the command-line console. It has nothing to do with running as a background process.
    Edit: though this might be exactly what the OP wants: not "background process" but "no DOS console".

  • ACL Errors, Can't Running Any Windows Program (such : CMD, Notepad, TaskMgr, etc)

    Hello guys, Please help me.
    Today I got weird Problem, My Windows 7 Ultimate eventually can't execute any Windows Programs, such : Msiexec, Cmd, Notepad, Taskmgr, Msconfig, Regedit, etc.
    When I tried to run any Windows Programs, the Message Box Appeared with this message : Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
    Then I checked my System32 Directory, I was shocked because All of Windows Defaults Programs appeared with Locked Icon.
    Then I checked 1 by 1 Windows Program, for an Example : dcdiag.exe. I checked the Security Tab and I got this notifications : No Permissions have been assigned for this object.
    Warning : This a potential security risk because anyone who can access this object can take ownership on it. The object's owner should assign permissions as soon as possibe.
    Other Informations : 
    1. My Windows account Privilege is Administrator. 
    2. I've Actived Anti-Virus and Always Updated. 
    3. In Safe Mode Everything Was Fine, I Can run Notepad, Task Manager, Command Prompt, etc (except : Msiexec / .msi Installer). 
    4. I tried System Restore in Safe Mode, but I don't have any Restore Points. In Normal Mode, I can't execute System Restore.
    So, How can I solve this Problem?

    Hi,
    According to your description, it seems like a program which start with Windows blocked the access of these app.
    To open Msconfig, you can boot into Safe Mode firstly, then open Msconfig and following clean boot process to execute the operation.

  • Can we run multiple sapinst programs in parallel?

    We are planning to upgrade our EP, XI and BW simultaneously. These SIDs all reside on the same server and same OS. Is it possible to run multiple sapinst programs in parallel? I know it may require specifying separate ports for the 2nd and 3rd instance of sapinst. For example: sapinst 1 gets default ports 21212, 21213. sapinst 2 will take 21214, 21215 and sapinst 3 takes 21216 and 21217.
    Has anyone attempted this sort of a thing before? Appreciate your thoughts.

    Never done that before, maybe it works .. however it could run into problems when the sapinst are trying to access the same paths / files.

  • Can I run gcc compiled programs in the terminal?

    I compiled a simple C program in the terminal using gcc 4.0 from the Xcode 2.2 distribution. I used gcc a.c at the command line and the compiler produced a.out. When I type a.out at the command line, I get the message
    tcsh: a.out: Command not found.
    Am I missing a step in the comilation phase? Is it possible to run gcc compiled programs in the terminal? I get the same results in the bash shell and when using X11.

    ./a.out is correct. Your current directory in not in your $PATH. You could add "." to the PATH, but that is considered a security compromise, because an unexpected command could be introduced either maliciously or inadvertently. (I have seen this happen.)

  • How can I program my imager to take longer samples using labVIEW?

    What I would like to be able to do is to use LabVIEW to program my external hardware to take a sample length of a specific time. I would also like to be able to find out how fast my Imager is sampling at, kind of like using the program as an oscilliscope to read the sampling rate of my hardware.

    I have a PCI-1424 Image Aquisition board, and it is connected to a KLI-2113 Kodak imager. The reason that I was thinking that I could get some kind of clock reading from the Kodak imager is that In the graphs, (I will send them), in some of them you can definatly see a pattern, exspecially if you leave the points on the chart and run another cycle, they almost mimick the previous results. What I would like to be able to do is to see how long each one of those cycles are running. The graphs time axises are messed up because If I have it one way I get like 295 and if I transpose it I get 79, (as you can see in the graphs). I think those are how many samples that are comming from the board but in some instances you can see th
    e exponential grades on the graphs and charts which leads me to believe that somehow the CCD chip is reading the collected charge in samples starting from the left to the right, (or the other way). I want to know how it is reading it, how long each sample is and how to collect either x amount of samples or y amount of time for each sample. Also it is interesting to note that the sampling on the x axis stay the same no matter where and how the light is shown onto the CCD chip.
    Anyways, I will attach the graphs so you can see what I mean and I will also attach the KLI-2113 Manual. I really appreciate your help Bruce,

  • I can't remove a spyware program from my Thinkpad G40, even after using the factory reinstall

    Hello,
    Is it me or is this in German?  I recently discovered a spy-ware program that had escaped detection for months.  When I tried to remove it  critical files disappeared.  I am running Windows XP pro.  I also found a program Supportable Agent-en which I could not uninstall.  I did find a way to erase some of the programs files, but the, you guessed it, windows would not load.  I followed the instructions for returning the O.S. to factory condition, which is supposed to erase the hard drive, but when the process was done the program was still there.  I attempted the reinstall several times and observed that right at the end of the program installment phase, Support.com  unzipped and installed itself.  Of course I am not able to load any virus removal software.  Can anyone explain what is happening and if there is anything that I can do to fix it?  Thank you, Scott

    You can follow this method if you have the recovery cds with you.Use Lenovo's secure data disposal and wipe the entire HDD clean, then use your discs to restore to the default factory settings.
