yes it is possible to publish a report in portal. take a look at http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports
you will find whitepapers (e.g. the security walkthorugh) that will tell you how to publish a report in portal.

  • How to Schedule OWB Process Flows through OEM

    Hi,
I have successfully created mappings and process flows for my project.
But now I want to schedule the process flows through OEM.
    Following are my DB configurations..
OWB Version : 10g R1 (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV ) on windows
Runtime Owner: ATS_RUN_OWNER (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV )
Runtime User : ATS_RUN_USER (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV )
Work Flow Schema: OWF_MGR (Oracle SID LVDSGDEV)
Source & Target DB : 10g (Oracle SID LVRUNDEV) on windows
Process which I want to Schedule is....
    Process Flow Location: ATS_LOC
    Process Flow Name: PKG_DM
    Process Name: BASE_LOAD
Can someone please suggest me, the procedure to schedule this process flow.....

You may choose just to schedule the mapping directly through OEM. Create an OEM SQLPlus job that calls the script:
    @c:\owb_home\owb\rtp\sqlplus_exec_template.sql;
Check the beginning of the sqlplus_exec_template.sql. It will show examples of the parameters it accepts and it has some documentation. It works nicely.

  • Calling an external cobol program

I have a web page that passes and retrieves a data string to an activeX object that in turn calls a cobol program that does all the work. Is it possible to do this with Application Express?

I don't know much about COBOL, but if you can fire the COBOL program from the command line of the ApEx host, you can also use DBMS_SCHEDULER with the EXECUTABLE option.
Search the PL/SQL forum with the above uppercase keywords for examples of how to write the procedure call.
I'm assuming you are using 10G.

  • Can i use funded program

Our FM team want to use "funded program"for grant management for whole university and request SLCM also must use this function but when i study funded program a little more i also saw it is future use.
Can somebody give me idea whether i can use funded program for grant and if yes how ?.
    regards,
    jin dal

    Dear Jin Dal,
The funded program uses much of the functionality of the Business Data Toolset (BDT). If you want to customize the funded program master data, you should be familiar with the BDT.
Funded programs are used mainly as FM account assignment elements, in the same way as funds, funds centers, commitment items, and functional areas are. Budget can be entered for them and monitored in them. You can enter the funded program directly in budgeting, but it can only be used with the new Budget Control System (BCS), not the conventional budgeting function.
When you are using the funded program in integrated postings, it is not possible to enter the funded program directly. It must be derived, using rules specified in the FM derivation tool. Account Assignment Derivation contains a detailed description of the steps involved in creating derivations.
While you can use any operative element as the source for deriving funded programs, you should use  WBS elements, orders, or networks.
If active, the funded program is displayed in Sales and Distribution (SD) orders, Plant Maintenance (PM) orders, and in networks or network activities. It is not displayed in purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, or any other documents.
    Hope it will help

  • How can I detect spyware or keylogger programs directly installed on my computer?

    Hello,
I have a serious problem. My ex had physical access to my MacBook Air and I believe he installed either spyware or a key logger program directly on my computer, as he had administrative access. It could be a program like WebWatcher or Spector Pro. There are a number of programs that allow someone to install this software by downloading it from the internet directly onto your computer.
Unfortunately, I'm a physician whose been involved in reaserch which has classified information on it. It never occurred to me that someone would do something like this, but I am very worried that he has installed something. I recently installed MacScan and Little Snitch to determine if anything was detected.
    MacScan Displayed the following:
Last Spware Scan Run on: Sat 4/26/14 01:15 am
Spyware Detected on Last Scan: 0
Total Spyware Detected in all Scans: 148
I'm unsure if what was detected by Mac Scan were simply cookies.
I also tried Linc Davis' suggestion and here are my results:

    CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
    Thank you so much.

I am adding information from Webwatcher's own site:
    Q. Is WebWatcher easy to use?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher is very easy to use and you can begin monitoring immediately without having to read a lengthy manual. Our web based interface is user-friendly and can be conveniently accessed from any computer in the world with an Internet connection.
    Q. How does WebWatcher compare to other monitoring software?
    A. It's the most powerful and intuitive tool on the market. As the only web-based program, WebWatcher ensures the security of your data while providing you with the flexibility to monitor any computer from anywhere in the world. While some products email data, email is NOT a secure means of transporting information. Anything sent by email is extremely vulnerable, and can be seen by dozens of people before it reaches its destination. WebWatcher, however, uses 128-bit encryption guaranteeing the safety and security of your information.
    Q. Is WebWatcher PC or Mac compatible?
    A. WebWatcher is PC compatible, as well as Mac OS X compatible.
    Q. Is WebWatcher truly invisible?
    A. Absolutely! WebWatcher is 100% invisible. It doesn't run as a service, it doesn't appear in the list of running processes and there are no visible files that can be seen. Not only does WebWatcher work invisibly, but it's also friendly with all known firewall software and hardware allowing you to gather the information you need without raising any red flags.
    Q. How will I know WebWatcher is working?
    A. Just login to your secure online account to see the recorded data. Or you can enter the hotkey sequence on the monitored computer to view the WebWatcher status panel.
    Q. If I buy WebWatcher now, how soon will I receive the software?
    A. Immediately. Within minutes you'll receive a confirmation email that contains the username and password needed to download WebWatcher.
    Q. How do I install WebWatcher?
    A. Within minutes of completing your purchase, you'll receive an email with a link to the Setup Wizard. Just follow the onscreen instructions. Once the Setup Wizard is complete you'll receive a link to download the software. Important: you can complete the Setup Wizard from any computer, but the SOFTWARE MUST BE INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER YOU WISH TO MONITOR.
    Q. Do I install WebWatcher on my computer or on the computer I want to monitor?
    A. The Setup Wizard can be installed on any computer, but the actual monitoring software must be installed on the computer you wish to monitor. Since WebWatcher is web based, you won't have to download the software onto the computer you'll use for viewing the recorded information.
    Q. Can I use different computers to check what's been recorded?
    A. Yes. Once the software is installed on the computer you wish to monitor, you can view the data from any computer in the world with Internet access.
    Q. Do WebWatcher icons or messages appear on my computer or on the monitored computer?
    A. No. Since WebWatcher runs invisibly, no icons or messages will appear on your computer or on the monitored computer.
    Q. Will WebWatcher email the recorded information to me?
    A. No. Email isn't secure for transmitting information. Any program that emails your data puts your private information at serious risk. WebWatcher offers the only web based monitoring system of its kind. We use 128-bit encryption to ensure the highest level of data security.
    Q. How do I retrieve the information that WebWatcher has recorded?
    A. Just log into our secure web based interface from any computer in the world with a standard web browser. Visit our demo to see actual screenshots of the program.
    Q. Will WebWatcher work on a laptop?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher will record computer activities and upload the data to your account when the monitored computer is reconnected to the Internet.
    Q. Does WebWatcher record emails?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher records emails and you'll be able to see the subject of the email, who sent it, who received it, the time and date email is sent and received, the contents and any attachments. Our email recorder is compatible with all of the most popular email programs including web based email.
    Q. Does WebWatcher record IMs?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher records instant messages. Our software is compatible with all of the most popular instant message programs including AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.
    Q. Does WebWatcher record websites visited?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher records websites visited. With just a click, you'll be able to visit the exact website visited and see what was viewed including searches performed.
    Q. Can WebWatcher block websites?
    A. Yes. WebWatcher can both block websites and record websites. When it encounters an Alert Word on a site, it can block that page or take a screenshot for later review. You can also block specific URL addresses.
    Q. Does WebWatcher have a keylogger?
    A. Yes. Our invisible key logger records every keystroke, even when a user is offline.
    Q. Do I need one license for every computer that I wish to monitor?
    A. Yes. An individual license is required for every computer that you wish to monitor. We offervolume discounts for multi-license purchases.

  • Can't compile old Cobol Programs with Oracle9i Pro*Cobol.

I'm a Cobol and Oracle greenhorn - so please apologise my question.
    Here are the details:
We want to switch our db from
    Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0
    to
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0
If I have the "Oracle 8i client" installed on my developing system (using procob precompiler) my program compiles without problems. Connecting to our old 8i db works fine.
On connecting to our new 9i db my program crashes on the first EXEC SQL statement with:
114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory
So I have installed the "Oracle 9i client" to use the new precompiler
    Pro*COBOL: Release 9.2.0.1.0
BUT now I can't execute my program because procob inserts some CALL "ORASQL8" which doesn't exist in my Oracle installation. Maybe ORASQL9 would work, because there are some files with this name in my Oracle dir.
How can I make my NET Express Version 3.1.11 Service Pack 1 work together with Oracle9i?
Here are my current (old) Precompilersettings from the file cobol.dir:
    p(cobsql) csqlt=ora8 cbl2ora8 sqldebug end-c ireclen=132 oreclen=132 maxliteral=160 picx=varchar2 p(cp) sy endp copyext (pco,cbl,cpy,cob) osext(pco);
This forum is my last resort. Maybe anyone can help?
    Thanks in advance
    lual

    ...solved by myself.
After wasting a lot of time, i've found a quick and dirty solution...
    C:\oracle9i\bin\ORASQL9.DLL
    duplicated and renamed to ORASQL8.DLL
    C:\oracle9i\precomp\lib\msvc\oraSQL9.LIB
    duplicated and renamed to oraSQL8.LIB
    C:\oracle9i\precomp\lib\orasql9.lib
    duplicated and renamed to orasql8.lib
...now my old programs run again without errors.

I have create custom form in R.12. I want to insert data in quality standard table directly through custom form. Need experts guideline.
    Awaiting regards,
I would not recommend touching the standard tables at all unless you are being guided by the SR. For a record to be in the standard table it should go through series of validations based on the what operation you are performing and some times datas are dependent upon the other tables, and also some times the same records are hit to so many other tables simultaneously.
Therefore I would not recommend this brother.
    Thanks &

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check the location setting for the iTunes Store is correct.
You might also try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
If you are still having problems try a restore.

  • Can't buy content directly  through Apple TV: message VERIFICATION REQUIRED

I installed my Apple TV (not the new one) last month, it works great as long as I buy and download into my Macbook Pro and then transfer to the ATV.
When I try and purchase directly through ATV (my preference) it says: VERIFICATION REQUIRED BEFORE YOU PURCHASE MAKE YOU MUST GO TO THE APPLE STORE ON YOUR COMPUTER AND VERIFY YOUR PAYMENT INFO.
I have tried everything with no luck. I asked for help a month ago and the tech sends me answers that are not even about this problem so I am asking again hoping for an answer that can remedy this.
    1. How do I verify my payment info? I have tried everything, re-entering over and over, I can buy on the computer no problem.
    2. This should be so simple, please help.
    Bruce

I finally received a response from Apple with a correct method to fix this:
    Hello B,
I understand that you cannot make any purchases using the Apple TV because it keeps asking you to verify the payment information. What you would need to to is remove the credit card on the computer and save that. Then go in and add the credit card back to the account. Once you have finished that go ahead and sync the Apple TV with the computer. Once you have competed that the Apple TV should not be giving you anymore problems.
Thanks for using iTunes and have a great weekend!
    Sincerely,
    Brandon
    iTunes Store Customer Support
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/
You then need to go back to your ATV try and buy something, you will get the same message as always... then go back to your computer and, go to the Apple store, your account, your payment info and put in the Credit card verification code, press done and try to buy again... i was fixed then!

    while True:
and just indent everything else under it
    Ends when you press ^C.
if you wish to have a way to break out of the loop, say, when you press enter at the VPC number without entering anything, add the following after your vpc input:
    if not vpc:
    break
which will break out of the while loop and end your program.
