Can I test the control lines of a 6534 DAQ device in a C++ environment?

The signals going into the control lines (REQ and PCLK) of my 6534 DAQ card are becoming quite distorted (longer rise time, decreased amplitude and ringing around 2.5-3 V). I have tried buffering them from my peripheral device without success. I am using a short 1M cable. I would like to test the integrity of these control lines. Searching your site, I could only find a testing utility for Labview. My application is written with Borland C++ using the example code for single buffer burst mode with an external PCLK provided with the card. I am attempting to operate in the burst mode with a 20 MS/s transfer rate.

I am not sure exactly what you would like to test here. Is it that you would like to know if you external signals are valid? This is my assumption.
1.) Could you provide a link or tell us where the testing utility for LabVIEW is?
2.) Could you explain in more detail what is happening that makes you want to do these tests?

I would like to know how the control lines of a PCI-1422 can be accessed (set) programmatically from within C++ (MS VC++7, Windows XP). A flat panel sensor connected to the PCI-1422 needs the control lines to switch on features like binning which I want to use.
Unfortunately I was unable to identify an appropriate command in the IMAQ documentation. Does anyone have experiences with this?

The control lines are not exposed through any API. The control lines are run by the driver based on the instructions in the camera files. If the cammera file supports the binning functionality of your camera then you should be able to set the attributes such that the board runs the control lines approriately.

We do not have any DAQ cards within the PC. We have the parallel port which is EPP and ECP compatible having the address 278h on LPT2 and we are trying use this port for reading 8bit data from an external circuit. We developed a vi program in Labview 5.0 to control the parallel port.We tried with the Data lines to send signals from PC to external device through this parallel port with the addr
ess 278h (which
is Data lines) and it works fine. We also tried using reading 4bit data from external
device to PC through this port with the address 279h (which is Status lines) and it
is also working fine.
But it was not possible for us to read through Control lines whose address is 27Ah. Whereas when line printer (dot matrix printer) was
connected, it was possible for us to take print out. Thus printer was working. This
informed us that the control lines are all OK!
Can you please clarify, how to use both control lines and status lines to read 8 bit data through this parallel port using the Labview software.

Can I hide the Address line through a URL?

Can I hide the address line (and button bar, and menu bar) from a URL address? We are generating an Oracle report, and I was hoping to be able to hide the address bar when the report is opened in a new window. Since the report server creates the html to show the report I can't control it there (or can I?).

Jim,
the only way of achieving this is to call a Javascript function on teh page that initiates the Reports request. Thsi Javascript function would do a window.open() call where you specify the Reports request URL and all the browser window characteristics, like hiding the menu bar.

Can not test the web service in JDeveloper.

Hi there...
I created an AppModule, added two custom methods, and generated a webservice for that. When I want to test the webservice I get the error "The Webservice Tester cannot be invoked because the WSDL document of the selected service cannot be read."
If I right the webservice and select run, I can view the web page to invoke the methods, However I am wondering why I can't test the service inside the developer.
The settings of my system are as follows:
OS: windows 7 64bit
JDeveloper: Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0 , Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660
I did not install any update for JDeveloper...
So if anyone is having an idea what this problem is let me know.

It seems that even if the test web service option does not work and i get the error, it is possible to run the web service, and then by clicking on the link in the log the tester in jdeveloper appears.
Don't know the reason for such strange behavior.

Well, I'm not really that familiar with using video in flash,
but from what I understand of what you are going for, these are my
suggestions:
If the code within your button has scope of the variable you
are testing for:

if you aren't in scope you can always maybe forward the
onRelease function to some handler that is in scope:

I need to know how can we test the camera megapixel?
For instance: If i have a 2MP camera how would i test it is 2MP, is there any measurement device or standards for mega pixel?

1600 x 1200 is 2mp not 1.3. Your friends phone must also be 2mp or the picture was taken on another phone.
It's easy to work out yourself.
1600 multiplied by 1200 = 1,9200,000 pixels more commonly known in the industry as 2mp.
1.3mp is 1280 x 960 (1,228,800 pixels).
More megapixels does not always equal better quality. The lens and software are also a big quality factor. I have seen many 1.3mp phones that take better pictures than a 2mp phone because they have a better lens.

My Ipad mini works just fine. But my iphone 4s won't open the control panel when I swipe up. I thought that was a feature available on the 4s.

i have been posting this a few places maybe it will get around. I have found becuse of my full enclosed iphone case i can not get my figure low enough to get the control panal to work. maybe apple can move up the control panal access to get it to work better for thos who have full cases.
