Can i trade in my damaged ipod nano for another one?

I dont have any reciept for my 2nd generation ipod nano. It has a cranked screen, scratched back side, and the display sometimes goes blue or only half of the display can be seen.

You can turn in your old Nano for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new iPod, but that's it.  Nothing else.  Sorry.

How do I trade in my old Ipod Nano for the new one?

You can trade in your old iPod at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one.
If you are referring to the 1G Nano recall, see this page.

  • HT1320 Could I trade in my old ipod nano for a new one or something?

My ipod nano is from 2009. The hold button doesn't work anymore; The battery doesn't last me as long as it used to and it keeps crashing.

Try trading in your iPod Nano with a company like http://NextWorth.com They'll give you cash for your old device (even if all the buttons aren't working). Then you can use that money to offset the cost for a new iPod.

  • Can I trade in my black ipod g4 for a iphone

    This Ipod seems very new!!

The most you can do is take your iPod into your local Apple Store and have it recycled for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one.
You would be better of selling the iPod on Craigslist or Ebay and using the proceeds from that to pay for a new iPhone.

  • How much is it to trade in a cracked iphone 5 for another one

i was wondering how much is was since i cracked my screen. Also i would like to know the price of getting a 5s if its possible.

Too hard to tell. If you want the cracked screen repaired, that's $149 at the Apple Store.
    http://www.macrumors.com/2013/06/03/apple-begins-offering-in-store-iphone-5-disp lay-replacements-for-149/
If you want to trade up to a 5S, they're probably not going to trade in a broken screen phone. You'll have to repair it first. Then your carrier can tell you how much more moeny they want for the upgrade, because it depends on how many contract months you have remaining.

  • Losing One iPod Library for Another One

A couple of years ago, a good friend gave me his 20G iPod, more or less as a Christmas gift, after he bought a newer version. It was only about 20% full and the "Purchased Music" playlist was very small compared to the rest of the library which were all CD imports. Although there were many songs that overlapped with my CD collection, the fact they were already on the iPod was a tremendous import timesaver. However, there were several unique musical selections I didn't have which were very enjoyable, enlightening, yada, yada....
I have since built up my iTunes Library on my old iMac G3 with a modestly large "Purchased Music" collection along with many more CD imports which I wanted to transfer to the iPod. However, there is apparently no way to do this without completely erasing the music already on the iPod, getting rid of some of the unique music I wanted to keep.
Is there NO way to transfer my music library selections to the iPod without losing what is already there????

  • Can i trade in my 2nd generation itouch for a refurbished ipod nano?

Can I trade in my 2nd generation itouch for a refurbished ipod nano and still get the 10% discount?

    Apple says:
Recycle your iPod at the Apple Retail Store.
Bring your old iPod to an Apple Retail Store and receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase of a new iPod.*
Note the word 'new" before iPod. I would say no but I would call/go to an Apple store and ask.

  • If I trade-in my old iPod nano in-store for the discount, will it apply to something that is already on sale?

I want to trade in my old iPod nano (2nd gen) for the in-store discount, and then buy a new iPod touch. If the Touch is already on sale, will the trade-in discount apply ON TOP of the sale price?

I see no disclaimer on the Apple site that says you can't combine today's sale price with other other discounts. However, you have to ask Apple for sure.

  • How can I transfer my music from ipod nano to iphone?

    hi,
i'm seriously considering buying an iphone. but before i do, i just have a couple of questions:
    1. How can I transfer my music from ipod nano to iphone?
    2. Will there be an iphone with higher memory capacity than 16gb? If so, when will it be out. (If there will be memory sizes of ipod similar to ipod classic, then i think it's better if i wait a little longer considering that there's only little difference in the price).
    Thank you!!

I don't believe there will be an iPhone with storage capacity equivalent to the iPod Classic anytime soon - at least not within the next month, or even this year or the next.
The iPod Classic has a hard drive. The iPod Touch and iPhone have Flash storage. Flash storage is more expensive than the hard drive equivalent, but the cost for Flash storage is coming down - supply an demand is probably helping this. The iPod Touch has double the storage capacity of the largest iPhone storage capacity since the iPod Touch doesn't include a cell phone - the case has more room for two 16GB Flash drives. More than likely there will be a 32GB iPhone at some point, but I believe it will be a while before we see a 64GB iPhone or larger approaching the storage capacity that is available with an iPod Classic.

I have a pc running vista and the hard drive crashed how can i transfer my songs from Ipod nano 5th gen to my new hard drive and into itunes

Right click on your device in the device list and choose "transfer purchses" to copy all music bought in iTunes to your new iTunes library.
For all other media you'll have to use 3rd party software, examples are mentioned in this thread:

  • Can I lock my 6th generation ipod nano whilst listening to it as it keeps switching off if i knock the sleep button

can I lock my 6th generation ipod nano whilst listening to it as it keeps switching off if i knock the sleep button?

Okay, I apologize, belay my last posting :/
This evening after a whole day of working fine (again), I had the same problem, but this time my idea couldn't fix it.  One point I'd like to make is to NOT listen to your ears when troubshooting your ipod.  When your ipod is turning off, try tuning into the radio.  Mine tells me that it isn't recognizing my earbuds and won't even turn on the radio.  I'm going to try to clean the connection out, but really?  This is freakin' new, Apple people!  Maybe its a way for the company to make you purchase new accessories for the ipod they replaced with the recall :/

  • HT1473 I have an audio mp3 (it's a lecture, not copyrighted). It's in my itunes now but I can't get it onto my iPod nano. I have a mac.

I have gotten an mp3 of a lecture into my itunes but can't get it onto my ipod nano. I'm on a mac. How do I do this?

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,
    Nathan
