Can I translate user defined table into mulilanguages

Can I translate a particular field of my own data field into foreign languages in SAP B1?
Actually I want to print shipping label in different langauages. And I want that address and the details of the shipping label transleted in a text file in order to print from command prompt.
Pls help me . its urgent

Im not sure, if I understand you correct.
I understood that you want to transalte the description of user defined field - ok?
If yes, the only way is to move the UDF inside the form and based of selected language show correct description in label.

You probably want to create a dialog panel that will allow the user to enter the information.
Where you store this information really depends on how much of the sequencefile needs to have access to this information.
If its global then writing it to either StationGlobals or to FileGlobals. Writting to StationGlobals means it going to be available after the execution of your sequencefile has finished. Writing to FileGlobals means its only going to be available during the execution of your sequencefile and also only in scope for the sequencefile its contained in. Unless you change the default setting so that all sequencefiles use the same FileGlobals.
To get the information to the SequenceFile will be by TestStand API calls using the PropertySetValue.
Another way would be to use the propertyloader.
There are plenty of examples either with TestStand or on the NI website on transferring data of all types from a step during execution.
This is a bit general. Maybe if you can expand on your query.

Here's an example of how to create a user-defined table in code. My suggestion would be to check if it exists when your add-on starts up and then if not, create the tables, fields and objects.

If you want to create a View I think you would have to use the RecordSet object. This will ensure that you don't have to log in to the database again

Can I sort a basic User Defined Table

We have some basic user defined tables, not using the sdk in any way, with an object type of no object. By default, these seem to be sorted by Code and/or Name. We have the code and name fields entered as sequential numbers. Since these fields are alphanumeric, the sort isn't pretty for us. Is there a way to sort this table by any of the udf's in the udt, instead of the Code or Name?
If I have 21 sequential entries
It sorts like this...
1 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2 20 21 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
I would like it to sort like this...
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21
This might not seem bad in this example, but when you get into the hundreds and then thousands of records, it is real bad.
Also, when we add a new record, it seems to resort the table, record by record, so you can see the scroll bar scroll through the whole table. This takes a matter of 3-5 seconds now that we are in the 10,000 record range and the record we just entered is somewhere in the middle of the table.

I also faced same problem the I started to enter values like 000001,000002,000003 in code. So it will sort automatically and if you want to do in query you can try this query.
select code,name from [@Test] order by CONVERT(int, code)
In udt you cannot directly sort on code column with the figures of 1,2,3.

Can we Customize Edit User-Defined Table Screen in Fusion Application

Hi All,
We have a requirement to add a ADFDI functionality to the 'Edit USer-Defined Table' screen by adding a 'Mass Upload' Button.
Normally for Some of the screens (Fusion Compensation) i am seeing 'Personalize -> Edit Current Page' Option on Menu items on top. But on 'Edit User-Defined Table' i am not seeing this option in 'Personalize' Menu.
So the questions is is this screen Customizable in Fusion Application? If So What will be EAR file which we need to use for Customization.
The screen where we need to add ADFDI Functionality is under 'oracle/apps/setup' path.
Can anyone point me to the Exact EAR on this and also let me know if we can customize it or not

Generally the code structure can be observed run-time [url https://blogs.oracle.com/fadevrel/entry/finding_code_artifacts_for_customization]using the composer, however in your case the content comes through a portlet in which case the method does not work as you cannot drill down to the specific region details in the composer. Based on a search through the code I think the regions you are interested are:

These would presumably be in EarHcmPayroll. I'll see if I can find out how the portlet content can be observed from the RT application..

Can't bind status field in user defined table

Hi!,
I want to display the status of my document type user table, I added an EditText (unique id = txtStatus) control in ScreenPainter and Iam getting a Can't Bind error in this line of code. @Meta is my user defined table of type document

2 alternatives:
1.Bind the Status field to "textStatus" EditText field in ScreenPainter
2.Either in your code, bind the Status field to a ComoBox field since it has valid values.
Both works fine in my test.
By the way, I get the same error Status field to "textStatus" EditText field.

How to fill the records from a User Define Table to PO item Grid

Hi To all,
I need to fill data from User Define table records into Purchase Order Item Grid.
I created an UDF Filed in PO - Header Part - "PRS"(Filed Name)
By using Formatted Search in itemcode column, i called a query,
"Select itemcode, qty from (@user define tablename) where PRS = $http://OPOR.U_PRS"
For eg:
Output from querry
ItemCode Qty
ABC 1
DEF 2
DFG 7
SDGD 9
By using formatted search it is filling only first data in to itemcode column in PO Grid.
Please help, how can i fill ALL the data in to my PO Grid?

The easisest way is to create datasource and the result bind to grid.

Problems adding new rows to a simple user defined table manually

I have just created a user defined table ( SAP 2007 SP01 PL9 ) but when I try to add a line using tools ->userdefined tables I get the following error -
conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '-3 @GLMAP to data type int ( CINF )
The table is called GLMAP and I simply added 3 alpha fields
I put 1 into all the fields on screen
Can anyone suggest anything please as ideally I would like the end user to be able to update this simple table

I think in your case you have used DBDataSource to display data from UDT on your form.
Easyier to use UDO than User Defined Table, because you do not have to programming at UDO based forms.
What István tried to say:
Check your sp_transactionnotification procedure, maybe you have used @object_type variable as integer instead of nvarchar

Why are you asking how to be an awful SQL programmer?? Your whole approach to SQL is wrong.
We have a DATE data type so your insanely long NVARCHAR(50) of Chinese Unicode strings is absurd. Perhaps you can post your careful research on this? Can you post one example of a fifty character date in any language?

User-Defined Table Types - Where is it in SQL Server 2008?

I am having 2 issues:
1. I don't see a folder for 'User-Defined Table Types' under programmability-->Types
2. When I execute the following code to create a Type; I get an error 'Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'AS'.'

The user-defined table type is a new
feature from SQL Server 2008. If you want to use it you have to upgrade your database to SQL Server 2008 or above.
In you scenario(SQL Server 2005),as a workaround, you can use the local temporary table instead.

User defined tables: amending Index on the database level. Opinions???

Hi everybody who has some spare time to read my stuff
I had a problem that some of you might have had. I have a user defined table, lets call it ProductTypes. Now system by default creates two columns in this table, one is Code (primary key) and another is Name (Index). I have added third column called Department. Now, if I wanted to add the following data (see bellow) to the table I would have had a constraint violation message pointing me out that I have problems with indexing.
Code, Name, Department
1, Cream, Fragrances
2, Cream, Beauty Products

I could thing of couple workarounds of this problem
1. Is to duplicate Code into Name and storing rest of the data using user columns
Code, Name, Product Name, Department
1, 1,Cream, Fragrances
2, 2, Cream, Beauty Products
This approach isnt very convenient as it requires UI development should we decide to attach this table to the Item master data form in a form of combo box.
2. Is to amend Index on the database level. Initially, the index KProductTypes_Name consisted of only one column Name, what I have done is added another column which is Code to indexing. I dont see how this can harm database consistency or damage the core system. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Another way of amending index in order to solve my problem could be choosing ignoring duplicate values option for column Name.
Please let me know what are your thoughts.

in this scenario we would have to do UI SDK development for the output and going to have an extra column with meaningless data in it.

hi, you means the 'Maintain fixed values, translations, user-defined routines'.
You can definite some fixed values and translations rule in this step.
And go back to the 'Maintain field mapping and conversion rules' steps.
You can utility these pre-defined in the data mapping.
E.G.
You defined a fixed valued name 'BUKRS'
Through click the button in the application bar in step 5,
you can use a FV_BUKRS in data mapping.
FV_BUKRS is the name of the fixed value name in data mapping.

I want a make preprinted for my user query from user defined table where the header information is from another query.
I guess, the base template User Report (system) can only show the repetitve data from one query but the header area is not,
could you help, showing the header information from another query ??

The word is that you cannot use the PLD with user defined tables (i wish it was possible). So in any case to do that you have to use third party tools such as Crystal Reports and Reporting Services
