Can I use Amazon's affiliate widget html in my site?

I've configured what I want the "slideshow" widget to have via Amazon's page, generated the code that includes linkage to my affiiliate info, and pasted it to a iWeb html snippet. Looks good in iWeb, but disappears when I publish. Thanks for any suggestions

If that's the slideshow you want, then it works.
Notice it uses flash. So visitors will not see it on mobile devices such as the iPad, which does not support flash.

Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

Can I use RH to create an HTML newsletter?

My company produces a periodic electronic newsletter, which
is mailed to subscribers as an HTML file embedded in an e-mail
message. The content is typically written by an employee in Word,
after which I edit the document and transfer the contents to the
HTML file, which I edit in Macromedia HomeSite+.
Because some of these newsletters are long, the product
manager suggested reducing each article to a short introductory
blurb followed by a "click here" link that would reveal the rest of
the story. (We all recognize this a a drop-down text hotspot, of
course.) I got the bright idea that I'd try to create this
functionality in RoboHelp. Not only could I include the hotspots,
but I'd be able to edit content in a WYSIWYG interface rather than
HomeSite's code view, which makes cutting and pasting laborious,
given the inline formatting I typically need to apply.
Well, I managed to create a nice template for the newsletter,
and I defined all the styles I needed, and I created the necessary
hotspots. When I generated WebHelp and viewed the results, the file
looked great. But when I attempted to send the HTM file to myself
via Outlook Express (Message | New Message Using | Web Page...), I
ran into two problems:
1. The styles I had defined were not used.
2. The hotspots didn't work.
I fixed the first problem by pasting the contents of the CSS
file into the HTM file. But I can't get the hotspots to work in the
e-mail message: when I click a hotspot, my browser attempts to open
the information in a new window, which doesn't work.
So:
1. Has anyone tried to use RoboHelp like this?
2. Can anyone fix the hotspot problem for me?
3. If RH isn't a good tool for the job, can anyone point me
in a different direction?

Probably you need some javascripts that appear in the WebHelp
output folder. You'd have to zip up and send the entire package,
and the reader would have to unzip and extract it before opening
the topic.
You could send the WebHelp output html page file alone. It
can't have any graphics or require other external resources. That
means your dropdowns won't work, unless you embed the appropriate
javascripts in the file, which would be a hard thing to do.
As you discovered, you must embed the style sheet within the
file, or at least enough of it to take care of styles you applied.
Another angle would be to make all text Normal style and
apply in-line or embedded styles for variations. The RH help topics
talk about this. It probably will read OK, depending on the
reader's browser.
Here's a way to do it without dropdowns or popups:
Put headlines only, or the first few paragraphs at the
beginning of the newsletter. You could use the template to organize
them. Insert a bookmark (anchor) with each item (explained later).
Add the "more info" sections -- call them "jumps" -- after
all the headlines, or after the template, with a bookmark at the
beginning of each one.
With each headline include a "Read more" text link to the
appropriate bookmark below. At the end of each jump, insert a "Back
to top" text link to a the appropriate bookmark.

I'd be checking to see how a basic MailTo: function works on the affected PC. Just visit a web page that has a clickable link that opens email. Click the link and observe the behavior. You may find yourself surprised.

How can I use the accordion panel widget with a footer?

Hi,
My question is may be not clear. So I'm gonna be more specific. I'm using a menu for my website with the accordion panel widget. The menu is working fine and when I'm opening it, it pushs the items below on the pages.
My problem is with the footer of the page. Because, when the items below the widgets are pushed, they go below the footer and the footer is not pushed.
Is there any way to pushe the footer when I use the accordion widget? I don t want to overlap it.

I assume this is what you want to achieve in the footer....
Make sure in Muse before you export that the panel is closed, and also as Brad suggested, make sure Overlap Items Below is unchecked. I would also check the "Can Close All" button.

Can you use Amazon prime/instant video on a yoga?

Been thinking about signing up but need to know if it works on the yoga browser or chrome?
If I can only get it working my pc then its probably not worth it

I just found this, and am glad I did. Just purchased the Yoga 2 8in and was worried that I wouldn't be able to stream Amazon prime and have my Google stuff. Getting harder to find units that do both these days. No one wants to play with each other anymore.
I must have spent hours looking for a tablet that was fair priced and had decent specs with 2gig RAM AND was able to play Amazon and Google.
Well keep this page bookmarked and will refer to it when I get my new tab.

Of course my results are only as good as my data, when I attempt to filter based on name (similar to the
states example) some of my user table columns contains:

and some contain
<td valign="top" width="27%">Anderson, John, M., MD</td>
within the name column so the filter does not see the last name "Alp" but sees the <p> tag is some cases. Is there any way around this?

I uploaded a mp4, but I can't use the URL in a HTML video-tag

I uploaded a mp4 video via the portal to my trial version Azure account. I then published it. I then encoded it. This produced an output file. I then published that output file. Then I copied the URL, and tried to play it in
my browser by pasting it in the address bar. I got an error that I can't explain - can you?:

I found out what is happening. When my website asks the user for his URL, which can be a YouTube URL, or a URL of a video / audio on a server, it checks that the URL is valid, and there really is a video or audio at that address. This does
not work with Azure.

The code gives the (403) forbidden error in that case. I can suppress this test whenever the input is an Azure URL, but it does raise a question - is there any way to test that the azure URL that the user is using is real?
On another topic, my website also plays audio mp3 files, but Azure Media Services doesn't seem to be able to cope with those.

Can I use an Indesign CC export html form in Muse, if so what steps do I take to achieve this?

I need to make a complex form for a website that requires a drop down list, calendar, radio buttons as well as the standard functions in the Muse contact form. This form will give feedback for specific items required to enable a quote for a job.

I have created more complex forms outside of muse... but never with InDesign... You should be able to paste the code with the insert HTML from the object menu. If you have separate script files for the backend of the form you will have to upload them separately to your web site. I wish muse a had a way to upload files that are not links as I do a lot of custom forms etc...

Can I use Amazon's MP# player

I went to get a free song on Amazon and when I clicked to get it says that I need to install AmazonMP3 player.
It appears to be okay to do that... Is it?
Also, related to that: what's dmg mean on the desktop?

Can I use an app tab for groups of related sites?

I would like to have an app tab for each of these different catagories. Is that possible?

BusyMac's help page on the subject says
'You can create a single app-specific password and use it for multiple apps, such as BusyCal and BusyContacts.'
This isn't quite what you asked but I would take it as implying that you can reuse the password for other Macs. If you can't you will soon find out. You will need to write down the password and enter it each time.

Can I use Edge Code to modify my outdated FreeBsd site? I have Edge Code installed on a Mac.

You can edit the source code to any website using Edge Code as long as the source files are accessible locally on your computer. So if the website lives on your FreeBsd server, you'll need to copy them onto your Mac first before you can open them, then upload them back to have your changes reflected on the live site. Extensions like FTP Sync can help with this, or you can do it manually.
