Can i use id on html:select syntax...

Hi,
i am using the following code to take data from the database directly to a dropdown box.

then after selecting the load-date from the drop-down box & clkng on submit button page is wrkng fine but in the dropdown it not showing the selected date.it is showing the default 1st entry in the drop-down box.
Now i using a javascript for showing the selected date::::

But here i needed an id . In my Drop-down select code where i shuld use this id..i dont understand..i have checked for syntax of html:select but there is no id tag attribute of html:select.can anyone suggest me any other idea how to show that.

How can I use a where in select clasue when the other part of the where I do not not.
I mean that

where MATNR = MT*
That means it can have MTA, MTB, MTC....and so on

Can we use 0INFOPROV as a selection in Load from Data Stream

Hi,
We have implemented BW-SEM BPS and BCS (SEM-BW - 602 and BI 7 ) in our company.
We have two BPS cubes for Cost Center and Revenue Planning and we have Actuals Data staging cube, we use 0SEM_BCS_10 to load actuals.
We created a MultiProvider on BPS cubes and Staging cube as a Source Data Basis for BCS.
Issue:
When loading plan data or Actuals data into BCS (0BCS_C11) cube using Load from Data Stream method, we have performance issue, We automated load process in a Process Chain. Some times it take about 20 hrs for only Plan data load for 3 group currencies and then elimination tasks.
What I noticed is, (for example/) when loading Plan data, system is also reading Actuals Cube which is not required, there is no selection available in Mapping or selection tab where I can restrict data load from a particular cube.
I tried to add 0INFOPROV into databasis but then it doen't show up as selection option in the data collection tasks.
Is there a way where I can restrict data load into BCS using this load option and able to restrict on cube I will be reading data from ?
I know that there is a filter Badi available, but not sure how it works.

We do have other characteristics like Value Type (10 = Actual and 20 = Plan) and Version (100 = USD Actual and 200 = USD Plan), but when I am loading data into BCS using Load from Data Stream method, the request goes to all the underlying cubes, which in my case are Planning cubes and Actual Cube, but I don't want request to goto Actual Cube when I am running only Plan load. I think its causing some performance issue.
For this reason I am thinking if I can use 0INFOPROV as we use in Bex queries to filter the InfoProvider so that the data load performance will improve.
I was able to to bring in 0INFOPROV into DataBasis by adding 0INFOPROV in the characteristics folder used by the Data Basis.
I am able to see this InfoObject Data Stream Fileds tab. I checked marked it to use it in the selection and regenerated the databasis.
I was expecting that now this field would be available for selection in data collection method, but its not.
So If its confirmed that there is no way we can use 0INFOPROV as a selection then I would suggest my client for a redesign of the DataBasis it self.

I need to use the param instead of hardcoding the value in the select query , when i did that it is working .
I think the limit of args is only till the end of main and my select query is in a method called Load() .
How can i use the param in my select query .

I do not recommend you actually use the code above in any sort of production application. You should really take a look at Spring Framework along with an ORM tool like Hibernate or Ibatis to simplify your DAO layer.

SSRS 2008, can I use exec sp and Select combo in dataset query pane for DataSet

Hi, I'm trying to use this combo for my dataset: i.e. call sp and then use table resulting from this sp, and it give me an error
<procedure or function has too many arguments specified> while generating report on Preview, but runs OK from query designer, I'm totaly lost.
Can it be done??

You need to use it like below if you want to select subset of columns from sp output

But I would still recommend using a wrapper procedure inside it create a temp table with structure some as your sp output and then select required columns from it
ie like below

Then call the WrapperProc from your report

Help! Can't use scroll button (to select) when online

Hi! If anyone could help me, I would be eternally grateful.
Just recently, when I go online on my BlackBerry Curve (not sure of the #, but I have a scroll button and not a trackball), I can't push the scroll button to select things. For example, I couldn't get help for the problem on my phone, because when I typed in my question, I couldn't hit the serach button to ask it!
Most links I am able to select by clicking the menu button and selecting "open link", but that doesn't work on submitting information like username/password on blogger or my bank or anything.
Please help!

Hello lchardesty and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
I would suggest you do what is called a clean software reload.
Back up your BlackBerry before you start as all the data will be deleted.
KB11320 will show you how to do the software reload.
After the load completes, test the track pad.
It is suggested to do a selective restore of your data so the issue doesn't re-occur
KB10339 will show you how to do a selective restore of your data using Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and earlier and KB23680 using version 6.0

Can we use 2 Conditions as Selection Variables in a Query?

Hi Gurus,
According to the requirement in our report , we need to have selection variables on 2 Key figures Target Quantity and Consumption.
So ,we have used Conditions to have Variables in the Selection screen.
The Conditions (the Selection screen variables) are not working properly.
Can you please give some pointers on the Conditions to be used in the reports.

I did not understand whats the issue is...., is it with the condition? or the variable.
If with the Condition please provide some more details about the condition.
If it is a variable, as the other person said, how did you create the variable on the Keyfigure? because as per i know we cannot create any variable for the Keyfigure, but if is possible please let me know, and i can dig in to that, and let you know how to fix the issue.

Can't use mouse cursor to select windows buttons from XFCE panel

The problem is weird but the behaviour is as follow: let say I have sultiple copies of the same software (Firefox, for instance) or when the software has multiple windows (for example Pidgin main windows and its other chat windows). Wwhen I try to click on the windows button on the panel in order to navigate to the window of such software, it won't work. nothing would happen. On the other hand, Alt+Tab works for switching to the desired windows. However, if the software only has one window running (for example, only one Firefox window) then the mouse click would work.
It's a strange behaviour and I got this on both my PC which runs Arch 64 bit and my laptops with Arch.
Anyone has the same problem?

Nope, thx Inxsible but conky's not running here.
Right-click menu (minimize, maximize, etc...) works for each of the multiple entries, though.
I just tried recompiling xfce4-panel 4.8.2-1 with no apparent error message or any change in behaviour... hm...

Can I use Java 5 syntax?

The last time I tried to create a portlet, I think I had to use J2SE 1.4 which was a big turnoff. Can I use Java SE 5/6 syntax when coding my portlet? Can I use JPA? If I'm writing JSF portlets, can I use facelets with it?

Yes you can Java 5 syntax while coding the portlet. You can also use JPA. I have not come across any issues regarding facelets usage in jsf portlets. Let me know if you face any issues.

HT2523 Can I use TextEdit to write HTML?

I'm starting to try and practice writing baisic HTML and I'm wondering if TextEdit can be used to write HTML and save it as a HTML document. All feedback appriciated.

Yes you can. It is very basic but it will work. When you do your code, simply Save As and type in "html" where "txt" of the file name, then hit save. It will save it as an HTML document.
But as Matt is saying there is a lot of easier software out there to write HTML.
The best website where I learned HTML (and other scripting language) is at http://www.w3schools.com which is a free website where you can easily learn HTML. They even have lessons where you can practice right on their webpage.

There aren't any tricks. This has nothing to do with Struts or JSP. It only has to to with HTML. The width is controlled by the size of the options or the size of the HTML area it has to display in. The latter if it's restricted otherwise by some table cell's width. I don't believe that I've ever seen a select box which has horizontol scrolling in any browser ever.

Work Order Reporting using I_BEGRP as a selection criteria

I am having a small problem regarding the authorization object I_BEGRP, which appears at general data informed tab at equipment level. The situation is as described below:
Our client has several subcontractors working with Maintenance Work Orders in the system, and in order to control that each subcontractor does only access to their own data (equipment, work orders, etc.) different authorization group has been used to assign each of the equipment.
Problem is now when the client needs to be able to know the list of MWO per subcontractor.
The need is clear: for a user that is not restricted by this authorization group, it cannot be usedas a selection criteria to obtain a list of WO of a certain subcontractor.
I have seen that it can be shown in the equipment standard report IH08, but only as exit data, but not as entry selection criteria, but neither for MWO (IW39) nor for notifications (IW29) it can be used as an entry selection criteria.
Can someone help me with this issue? is the only solution to make a custom development, and to copy program RIAUFK20 in order to allow this field as an input?

Hi,
the only workaround I can think of is to use suitable search help for equipment. So the process would be to run IW29, open search help for equipment that allows you to specify authorization group (I think Equipment by Equipment list should work), then select all equipments from the auth. group and then run IW29 restricted by equipments. It's not nice but it allows you to select all orders that have equipments assigned to some specific authorization group. Otherwise you need to enhance standard reports to allow authorization group as one of the select options.
