You need to use a product such as ScreenRecycler to do that. All of those products work over a network connection; direct video in isn't available on an iMac G5.

It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.

My Macbook was stolen. I noticed the following morning that it was locked, so I 'clicked' play sound, and erase at next internet connection. I received notice that it played the sound, but not that it has erased. Wondering if Apple and/or iCloud tracks the last IP address that my stolen macbook connected to the internet. I am using ACR 8.6 hosted by Photoshop CC 2014.2.0 with Windows 7 Pro SP1, and am not seeing any issue with Adjustment Brush sliders.
I am opening a new image in ACR and click the Adjustment Brush toolbar icon, then adjust the Exposure slider up then making some strokes, then click Erase, and remove some parts of the strokes, then click Add, and can make more strokes as well as adjust all the sliders, including Density. -

I don't know how you received an upgrade for iTunes. You make it sound like it was sent to you. At most your computer will tell you of a new version and you tell it to download it and install it. However, a computer will not do this for a version which is incompatible. iTunes 10.7 came out a few weeks ago but your computer would not notify you and even if it did, 10.7 would refuse to install on your computer. So this part isn't making a lot of sense.
Two ways to get the 'newer version' message. One is to open your library on a computer running a newer version, and then try to open it with an older version. Usually happens when the library is on an external and used with multiple computers. The second way is if you have multiple versions of itunes installed on your computer.
The newest (and likely the last) iTunes for OSX 10.5.8 is iTunes 10.6.3 which has been out for quite a while.

It sounds like you have assigned the primary click on the trackpad to something else, perhaps a gesture.
Use your mouse, login and then open the Trackpad preference pane and see how you have the interface configured.
Oh and you can have both the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad powered up and working at the same time. No need to keep moving batteries around.

Can anyone tell me why my photo stream is not loading all 1,000 pictures onto my new iphone 5c? i backed up my old phone onto the mac and plugged in my new phone then hit backup. it only gave me 100 pictures????? why?
thanks for any help!Because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for your devices to download them. Only shared streams keep photos in iCloud indefinitely. Your other photos are probably older than 30 days and are no longer in iCloud.
Also, photo stream photos aren't included in your backup, only camera roll photos are. If you want to include photo stream photos that are not already in your camera roll in your backup, you have to save them to the camera roll before backing up. -
I have an old iMac for 2002....it's the rounded type that has an attached monitor. The software is way outdated (OS X 10) and I only really use now to access 3,000 plus songs and old video of the family. Both the keyboard and mouse no longer work. Am I able to use any keyboard/mouse and plug in using USB? Thanks for any help!
Most any USB mouse or keyboard should work. Borrow one if you can and just plug it in.
If the USB circuits are at fault then you can access via Firewire Target Mode with another Mac in order to get at the files.

I can't get volume on Main Output to work correctly with controllers on my keyboard. It's either all on or all off. Works fine for individual instruments (thought it lumps them all together) but not for main volume output on concert. Thanks for any help.

All this sounds like you are confused about the general nature of MIDI Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC). The MIDI specification allows for 128 different CC's: CC0 to CC127. Some are typically "preallocated" to 'standard functions: CC1= Modulation, CC7=Volume, CC10+Pan, CC11= 'Expression'. Some act as switches such as 'Sustain' CC64.

Mainstage works with MIDI CC's generally in a number of ways:
Some standard ones are automatically passed through to all MIDI/Instrument channels unless you specifically block them. Others are not passed through unless you specifically map them to something.

Yes.
It sounds to me like you have an issue where you have several hardware controls on your Keyboard set up to transmit the same MIDI CC. This is probably not a good idea, and it would be much better if you assigned them to transmit different CC messages (CC1 for Modulation and probably CC11 for the Expression (though you may want to set the pedal to some other number instead.
Once you are transmitting different CC messages, you will be able to Assign and Map much more flexibly:
for example, you could one to control the overall output volume at Concert Level in MS, whilst the other controls the volume of a specific channel within a Patch.
Your issue of layered patches is one of "Scaling": one Screen Control (assigned to an incoming MIDI CC message) needs to alter the ranges of different channel strips to different amounts. You can set this up by using multiple mappings for one Control, each set to work over a particular range (for example a goes from -20 to 0 whilst b goes from -30 to -20 etc.).

Generally when you get the resource in use error logging out or rebooting will take care of it. When a file just absolutely refuses to delete try restarting in Safe Mode (hold the left shift key after the computer restarts) and then empty the trash.
