In the display settings on your computer uncheck "mirrored". This will put the displays in "extended" mode. In extended mode you can set the external display to its native resolution as well as drag windows from your computer to the external monitor. I assume that is what you mean when you say "split screen".

I can import other songs from his library. The same songs cause me a problem each time I try. My husband had no trouble importing the same songs I have trouble with. I get the same error message if I try to import the same songs from my husbands computer as well. "Command I" appears to show the same protections on both the songs I can import & the ones I cannot. My husband and son are both running OS 10.6, while I am running 10.7. I think I had this problem even before I upgraded, but I am not certain.

My first suggestion is to Repair Disk. Here's how:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior

I have accidently deleted safari from my iphone and can't find it to put it back. I did it ages ago as I didn't know what it was and I was trying to create extra space! Now when I click on a link say in an email, it doesn't come up with a browser. I have looked at the apple site but can only see a download for mac users. Not sure if this is the case because it is preinstalled on the iphone.

i have had apple tv since last april and i could play films from dvd player from mac book but for some reason this has stopped working from dvd player when i put the dvd player on apple tv i get a black and white screen i can hear the film but i cannot see it, i went to my local store and they but vlc on for me but its terrible the film always jumps every time.

This is supposed to happen, licensing issue mean that Apple can't AirPlay protected content to other devices. You might try VLC instead of Apples built in DVD player.

I can get my Gmail account to work but not my school email?

I have a school email account that I can access through safari but I can't get it to setup through the "Other" account area of Mail on the iPhone... Personally I don't think it is going to work at all because I don't know what to input in the outgoing mail server area? If someone could enlighten me that'd be fabulous. Thanks!

Just like the incoming mail server, the outgoing mail server requires a name and sometimes may require a username/password.
For example, Gmail's incoming mail server (IMAP) is: imap.gmail.com
The outgoing server for Gmail's mail server (IMAP) is: smtp.gmail.com
Gmail requires you to use a username & password for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers and also that IMAP is enabled in your account preferences.
For a school email, it most likely has POP or IMAP support built-in already. Now, whether or not you have to supply a username/password for outgoing will be determined by your school's IT department.
Do they have some support of IT/Technology support page for students? I'm sure somewhere within the school's intranet there's a support article that explains how to check your school email from a client. You'd just follow the same steps via iPhone's interface.

Yes, it works. Download the trial and see for yourself. Adobe never updates the system requirements after any version is released, so that is what was available last Sept. when PSE 13 was released.

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Besides DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite 6 is the only software on the machine. I am using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Operating System on AMD FX 6100 six-Core Processor at 3.31gHz and 32 GB RAM memory. There are two SLI-bridged GTX680 NVidia cards.
The software was very stable for the last six months, working with 720P proxy files from 2.5K masters (Blackmagic Design Camera). I am working on a feature-length project that exceeds 1000 edits. I have broken the file into 2 one hour segments.
I have deactivated the software before reinstalling the entire OS from scratch. PP6 was very stable for 48 hours. Then the freezing space bar returns. After a dozen strokes into the project, same problem. I have made cache files store next to originals, I have deleted preview files if they were corrupted and causing instability. Am I missing something?
I have Microsoft Security Essentials for virus protection. I double checked the memory for damage/defect. Nothing says that the motherboard or other components are damaged.
I am in film competition overseas and need to have deliverables in less than a month's time. I lost the last two weeks troubleshooting and this crisis came at an inopportune moment of the project.

Still getting software freezes but found a way to mitigate for the mean time.
Upon launching Adobe Premiere Pro, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to launch TaskManager as well.
You will want to highlight Adobe QT32 Server.exe
Right click and select "End Process Tree"
You will get considerable stability in the program, long enough to get timing of cuts done. Be sure to save often.
If the program freezes, do not hit Save. You definitely want to avoid saving the corruption into your TimeLine
CTRL-ALT-DEL to relaunch the TaskManager and highlight Adobe Premiere Pro.exe
Right-click to "End Process"
No need to reboot the whole system; just launch Premiere Pro again and continue with the session. Note that your work reverted to Last Save.
Hope this helps until the bug is fixed.
