Can iWeb automatically start next page?

My homepage is a small QT intro file.
Is there a way to switch automatically to the next page when the intro has stopped?

Add this before </head> in the html document:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="x;url=Pagename.html">
x=# of seconds before new page loads (length of QT movie)
Pagename.html=name of page you want to load
Here are some basic instructions for making html changes after publishing in iWeb:
1. Publish your site via iWeb
2. Find your html files.
Go to iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/Sitename/Pagename.html
(If you publish to a folder, look in the folder you selected or try looking in your Sites folder of your home folder. )
There are two ways to handle accessing your iDisk.
Method 1:
Turn on local copy of your iDisk in System Prefs, with or without automatic syncing.
If you publish your site via iWeb, now the updated pages exist online but the old pages are on your local iDisk. You need to sync (automatically or manually) to get the new pages on your local iDisk (on your computer).
Then you can open the updated files, make your html changes in Text Edit or whatever program, and SYNC AGAIN (automatically or manually) to update the online version of the site to match what you have just changed on your local iDisk
Method 2:
Mount the iDisk when needed via the "Go" menu in Finder. This is the ONLINE VERSION of your iDisk, not a local copy. When you publish your site via iWeb, the changes INSTANTLY appear on the iDisk on your desktop. If you make html edits or other changes, they appear INSTANTLY online.
I recommend Method 2 - much easier!!!
3. Make the html changes.
You can open the html files generated by iWeb in any text or html editor. In TextEdit, to view the code in an HTML file, choose File > Open and select "Ignore rich text commands." Then locate the .html file (as described in step 2) and click Open.
Make your changes and don't forget to save your changes (not Save As, just Save)!!!
4. Remember, if you make a change to a page like this post-publishing, and later re-publish, you have to make the html changes again! Set up a Find/Replace command in MassReplaceIt and you can do this very quickly. You can save your queries so you can make all of your changes with one click the next time you save.

Yes, go to: Apple / System Preferences / User Groups / Login Items and add the Application to the list of things automatically set to start at login.
However, you should limit it to those that you need or use, because adding a lot will needlessly slow down your startup time and use more RAM.

in the second page i defined the Next Page as Page2.
but only the 1st page is displaying. how can i see the next page?

Hi,
The second page will be displayed only when the data does not fit in the main window of the first page and continues to the second page.
So make sure that you have enough number of line to print that it overflows to second page.

I can't swipe to next page after placing my edge animation in dps

I've created an animation in Edge and exported it as a .oam file. I've placed it into dps (full page size) and although it plays fine I'm no unable to swipe between pages.
Initially I thought instead of using the animation at the full page size I could use it smaller so I would be able to swipe the area outside of the animated object. My problem with this is that the background of the page is a coloured gradient and as I've not managed to export my animation with a transparent background I need to set the background up in Edge also. This leaves me with the problem of how to navigate to the next page?
Im new to Edge (as you can probably tell) so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Ross,
There's currently a bug when using DPS where the poster image won't clear from the composition and remains in the background when it plays in DPS. Does your animation automatically play? If so I have a workaround for you.
If you set your poster image to transparent, and your stage to transparent, the animation will play on a transparent background. Create a 1x1 transparent png and import it into your EA composition. In the publish settings, set this PNG file to be your poster image.
Also be sure to set your stage colour to 0% alpha.
Publish and you should be good to go.
As for not being able to swipe, Animate compositions import as "Web Overlays" which means overlay in the most literal sense; they are placed on top of your publication so any interactivity you have may interfere with the gestures of your publication as created in ID. You can opt to turn interactivity off in the web overlay panel in ID, though this might defeat the purpose of your placed composition. It sounds like in your case if you're able to get the transparent stage to work this might remedy some of the problems you were having.

Sorry about that happening - has happened to me quite often, too.
Not going to help you now, but I use this extension to automatically "cache" the content of text areas for situations where that may happen.

The only problem with it is, it save only the latest "state" - no backups beyond what is saved. If something in another tab causes Firefox to crash, you may lose the most recent text that you typed when Firefox was getting ready to crash.

Can iPod automatically start?

Can the iPod automatically start up and start playing when it is plugged into AC? I had a Creative Nomad that could do that. I had it in my car hooked up to the cigarette lighter. When I started the car and the player detected incoming power, it would automatically start up and start playing. Was wondering if the iPod could do the same?

I don't think the iPod has the ability to do this. It wakes up when power is connected, but I don't believe that you can get it to start playing by itself when powered.
You'll probably find that the only way to get it to self-play is by using the Alarm function...?

After printing 12 records for a employee then automatically goto next page

i am facing one promblem in smartforms and i am not able to rectify that , my requirement is that if a user enter a single employee code then output must comes in 1 page with deatils of 12 months and if user enters in range eg.
from employee code 1 to 50 then all the details of 12 months comes in single page for each employee and after printing 12 records its directly comes to another page and here again print 12 records and goes to next page...soon..

The smartform is called for each employee so when the employee range is given in the selection then the smartform is called for each employee in the print program.
Check the print program and change the logic/code .
For Example: in the loop if the Form is called for every new employee using the the code AT NEW then place the code for calling the Form using AT LAST in the loop.

How can you automatically start the next Podcast?

When an audiobook finishes, the next audiobook automatically. How can I get podcasts to do the same? I listen on bike rides and it is difficult to have to switch to the next podcast.

2 options (neither of which are particularly great)
First - drag the relevant podcasts into a playlist in iTunes, sync your iPod and then off you go!
Second - Create an on the go playlist of the relveant episodes on your iPod.
I think the thinking behind this is that Apple assume people only have one podcast at a time to listen to i.e. one a day/ week etc. You are right though, it would be nice just to have a preference to set to do what you want.

Can't automatically start appserver 8.2 under Solaris 10

I have recently installed Sun Java Application Server 8.2 on Solaris 10 6/06 under a user other than root.
I'm interested in making domain1 start-automatically after booting. I tried for the first time a script that used
asadmin start-domain domain1Obviously logged in as the user that installed the app. server it worked ok, however, the root user couldn't get it running.
Then i used the following:
su myuser -c "asadmin start-domain domain1"That worked when invoking the script as root.
However, after placing the file in /etc/init.d and making respective links in /etc/rc3.d and /etc/rc0.d and rebooting, it didn't work at all.
How can I see what was wrong or even if the script was attempted to be run?

So, if I understand this correctly, you are running this installation in local zone and trying to use J2SE from the global zone, right?
This hang might have something to do with zones. Based on limited truss snippet it is hard to tell where exactly it hangs, though. One possibility is that in fact J2SE verification went through fine but the next screen is the one which asks for default server configuration, including port numbers. Before that screen is shown, installer will try to find out whether the default port numbers are free or not, so it is possible it actually hangs there.
To see if the port verification is an issue, please try running:
./sjsas_pe-8_2-solaris-i586.bin -console -noportcheck
With this option, any port verification done by installer will be skipped, so if the hang was there installation should now go through. Note that this will create your default domain using default set of port numbers, so there is a chance you'll need to change port values prior to starting the server if any of those ports are in fact in use.
Also, if installer hangs in port verification, this might point to network configuration issues, so if you also run into problems during the server startup you might need to further deal with networking. In any case, try installing as above and see if you can get further.

How can I automatically break into pages or sections?

My volunteer committee has been working on a document we created in Google docs. It has a table of contents for about 111 entries. I downloaded the document and am trying to set it up in Pages so that each of the 111 "chapters" is on a different page. The TOC came over nicely into Pages, but I can't figure out how to separate each of the separate entries into different pages without manually inserting a page break (with no keyboard shortcut!). Each entry is less than a page long...just want them on separate pages.
Any suggestions?

(Pages) Help > Keyboard shortcuts lists:
Insert page break Command-Enter
Note that "Enter" refers to the key on the number pad, not the "Return" key at the right of the main keyboard area.
On my iBook, the Enter key is to the right of the spacebar, at the bottom right of the embedded number keypad.
If your keyboard does not include a separate enter key, you can still Copy a page break character, then use command-V to paste it where you want it.

Can I automatically size the page?

I have a PDF with several pages that are landscape and several that are portrait. It creates a gap on the right side by the pages that are portrait. I would rather not see the gap. Even though the pages are different sizes, I would like to see that they fill the gap.

I have a similar requirement. User will download search results in a CSV file after which I want either the page to be refreshed or to be able to goto a Confirmation page or navigate to another page.
I tried using setForwardURL / forwardImmediately / redirectImmediately methods as well as redirectToDialogPage. Since we use pageContext.setDocumentRendered(false); and response.getOutputStream().flush(); methods, the HttpResponse is already committed.
Hence, the page does not redirect to another page as Request is processed and Response is complete. In case of methods like setForwardURL A JSP forward redirects the same request object to the target URL.
Can anyone help here to achieve the expected requirement?

How do I get rid of the "Loading Next Page" thing?

Recently my Firefox started pre-loading pages. As I scroll to the bottom of a web page I get a notification pop-up at bottom right, saying "Loading next page" ... but all it seems to do is reload the page I'm already on, creating a situation where I can scroll down into infinity and keep seeing the same page. It slows down my browsing and is really annoying me! I have looked through my add-ons and can't see anything that would be doing this, so I have to assume it's something Firefox has decided to put in ...? Anyone have any ideas at all about the origins, and/or how to stop it happening, please? I am using Windows 7 64-bit on a laptop.

This will be caused by an add-on, and checking your list of add-ons, the likely culprit is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825/ FastestFox], the description of the add-on states it can "auto-load the next page".
