Can not create missing index

Dear all,
This is about a BW 3.5 system running Oracle 10.2.0.2 on Solaris 10
After an online database reorganisation, I receive these messages in db13

I see the missing indexes in db02 under Missing Indexes:

I find a missing Index when I do Database check

    --> primary index - 1
      --> Z..... --> I selected this and clicked on "Create in DB".
   Then it pops up a dialog box asking options like Online, Background .... (can I create this Index online)
   from here what I needs to do.

Looks like index is missing for the table.. When you get options like online, background, you may use online. It does not hamper the system.

Hi,
in SE12 you can activate the index. (display the index and activate it)
Alternatively in SE14 the index can be created with the database utilty.
(display the table, click indexes, choose your index, then create it).
In case you have a big database table you should prefer SE14 and use
the background option in order to avoid timeouts.
I'm not aware of an automatism for manage this frequently. This is a
task carried out by SAP system or database administrators.

We face the same problem with some BI4 reports.
The same report works well with the "Crystal Reports Viewers API", as used in Infoview, but not with the "Report Application Server (RAS) API".
This error appears after some time working on a report. If we reproduce the same report, but from zero, no problem.

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

There seems to be some kind of misunderstanding here. You cannot create a secondary index on a cluster table. A cluster table does not exist as a separate physical table in the database; it is part of a "physical cluster". In the case of BSEG for instance, the physical cluster is RFBLG. The only fields of the cluster table that also exist as fields of the physical cluster are the leading fields of the primary key. Taking again BSEG as the example, the primary key includes the fields MANDT, BUKRS, BELNR, GJAHR, BUZEI. If you look at the structure of the RFBLG table, you will see that it has primary key fields MANDT, BUKRS, BELNR, GJAHR, PAGENO. The first four fields are those that all cluster tables inside BSEG have in common. The fifth field, PAGENO, is a "technical" field giving the sequence number of the current record in the series of cluster records sharing the same primary key.
All the "functional" fields of the cluster table (for BSEG this is field BUZEI and everything beyond that) exist only inside a raw binary object. The database does not know about these fields, it only sees the raw object (the field VARDATA of the physical cluster). Since the field does not exist in the database, it is impossible to create a secondary index on it. If you try to create a secondary index on a cluster table in transaction SE11, you will therefore rightly get the error "Index maintenance only possible for transparent tables".
Theoretically you could get around this by converting the cluster table to a transparent table. You can do this in the SAP dictionary. However, in practice this is almost never a good solution. The table becomes much larger (clusters are compressed) and you lose the advantage that related records are stored close to each other (the main reason for having cluster tables in the first place). Apart from the performance and disk space hit, converting a big cluster table like BSEG to transparent would take extremely long.
In cases where "indexing" of fields of a cluster table is worthwhile, SAP has constructed "indexing tables" around the cluster. For example, around BSEG there are transparent tables like BSIS, BSAS, etc. Other clusters normally do not have this, but that simply means there is no reason for having it. I have worked with the SAP dictionary for over 12 years and I have never met a single case where it was necessary to convert a cluster to transparent.
If you try to select on specific values of a non-transparent field in a cluster without also specifying selections for the primary key, then the database will have to do a serial read of the whole physical cluster (and the ABAP DB interface will have to decompress every single record to extract the fields). The performance of that is monstrous -- maybe that was the reason of your question. However, the solution then is (in the case of BSEG) to query via one of the index tables (where you are free to create secondary indexes since those tables are transparent).

Can you create an index on a Map?

I have a few questions that I can't seem to figure out nor find a viable example for. Can you create an index for a Map contained within a nested object, and if so, how would you do this? I currently have a Filter the inspects this criteria in the cache but am unable to figure out to create a usabe index for the custom filter. I'm using Coherence 3.5.2 - any help would be most appreciated. I'm not sure if/what I need to do with the SimpleMapIndex....
Here's the basic object map below. My filter is retrieving all of the CustomerGroup objects that have a Customer in it's collection that contains the passed in Integer value in the Customer's Map. So can you create an Index on a Map (and a nested one at that) and how do you that? The index would need to be on the nested customerValues hashmap.

If you write a custom ValueExtractor, which you need to create an index, then you will not need a custom Filter.
Depending on how efficient you need to be you custom extractor can use POF and not have to deserialize the entries to create the index, or it can deserialize the class, which will make the code more straight forward.

You can then use a ContainsFilter for your query. For example to get all the values from the cache where the customerValues map contains a 19 in the key...
Set results = cache.entrySet(new ContainsFilter(new MapKeyExtractor(), 19));You could write a version of the MapKeyExtractor that uses POF and would not deserialize the values but this would be more complicated code as it would need to extract the Map from the POF stream of the value and walk down the keys and values extracting the keys. It is doable but not worth it unless you are really worried about performance of index updates.
Discalimer I have written the code above from the top of my head so have not compiled it or tested it but it should be OK.

Active X can not create running Scriptlistener VB code in Creative Cloud Photoshop

Currently, I am recieving an Active X can not create error when running this code. I use Visual Studio 2012 run as administrator in x86 mode, Creative Cloud 32bit run as administrator. OS is windows .
I am able to access the com library for CC in VS. When I run into troubleshooting this Script listener code, this type of code appears in several different functions throughout the application. I am getting an Active X error when the CreateObject("Photoshop.ActionDescriptor") is hit.
I am also logged in as an administrator of the box. I have created the process from a scriptlister log with the CS6 Scriptlistener in CC.
Any direction or feedback is appreciated. I need to know if I am missing something obvious.

When i try to download firefox onto this computer, It downloads and says run or save. I click run and it says that it can not create temporary files. How do i fix this?

URGENT Can not create Limit in IR

Hi,
This is very Urgent. We completed one Client required Report in IR. First time he can able to generate report successfully with all limits which he has selected in one screen. For second time he was not able to generate report. We are getting in Console window "Can not create limit" and some of columns in Report were missing (disappeared). Could any one please suggest very urgent.

No we are connecting to TERADATA.
We developed two dashboard screens in one screen user selects the values(input screen) from listbox which we were sending to resultset as filters, after selecting the values he will click " Show report" button it will show the report Dashboard screen two. in Show report button we are developed the limit creation code on report. In my report we have 15 columns. First time we are getting sucessfully with all limits data. If we try to give limits in input screen and click Show Report we are not getting the report it was showing Cannot Create Limi. and some of columns are missing in Report( Which we are trying to Create limit).

Could not open firefox and tried to update newer version but could not with error msg "can not create temp folder archive"

Tried to run firefox as usual but the the page could not connect the server. Thus, uninstalled the browser and tried to install a newer version. Could not run the program and error msg "can not create temp folder archive" popped up.

Crystal Server 2013: How to troubleshoot "Can not create temp file---- Error code:-2147215357"

We have a Java7 web app, which generate PDF report by calling Crystal Server 2013 SP4.
The app is being deployed on many different servers. We sometimes got the error below when generating report:

Problem is, this seems to be a pretty generic exception. It could be caused by many different reasons.
e.g. network connection problem, wrong DB login, wrong folder path, lack of folder access right, etc.
Each time we could only guess what's wrong.
We are running into it again, and this time everything seems correctly configured so far.
We wonder if there are more info we can get to troubleshoot? For example, any log file of Crystal Server we should look into? Or does Crystal Server has debug mode which prints more details to tell us what goes wrong?

How to configure tracing, and where are RAS logs? Is it configured in CMC --> Servers --> Crystal Report Services?

Not on App server.
For RAS, that's the problem, I am not sure where to look.......

JMStudio Error "Can not create session manager"

Hi,
I'm trying to transmit an mpg file through a simple pc to pc network, using the transmission wizard in the JMStudio, and everytime it causes a "can not create session manager" error, even when I try to transmit .mp3 file
I'm using an ip like 100.100.0.1 for the sender machine, and 100.100.0.2 for the receiver machine, and I don't know where is the problem

Um,maybe the port that you use for transmission is already occupied.
Make sure that you are not using JMStudio to transmit streams while trying to receive streams from the same port.

Can not create recovery discs on satellite C875D-S7330

Can not create recovery discs on satellite C875D-S7330. Drive runs and appears to be doing it thing, then aborts saying it has error to check disc for scratch or dust on media. Error code: OEO1B5-26-2AO3OC 00 . Tried 3 new discs all same results. Tried a 4th disc trying to continue on with disc 2 of recovery discs, got another error on this one. Error code: 020150-20-00000000.
Anyone have a fix for this? Had this machine less than 24hrs.

Personally, I would get a 16gig USB thumb drive and put your recovery on it. It eliminates having to swap disks during recovery and it's easy to store. I've used mine several times and it's worked perfectly every time.
