Can not seem to add text to my photo
Hi. Nothing shows up in the text box when I type in it. I'm working with a photo that is 7 x 11. I set the pt to 12, and then 24, and then 72, no luck. Nothing shows up. Please help. Thanks. Lynn

Reset the tool. To do that, click on the little arrow, top left, on the tool's option bar.
Be sure that you are using the text tool, not the text mask tool
Be sure that the color for your font is different from your background color. For example, black text on a black background will not be visible.
Increase the pt size for the font. You are not limited to the sizes in the drop-down. Type in 120 or 140
Let us know how you make out.

I can only guess about the reason... Firefox works with many websites' "rich text" editors, but ones that haven't been updated for five years may assume that Firefox is the old Netscape browser and use scripting techniques that don't work in Firefox.
If Verizon has a different "basic" or HTML editor that you can tolerate using, you could try that. It might not be subject to the same incompatibilities.
If I someday get a Verizon account, I will surely be looking into this further, but for now, it's hard to suggest anything else. -
Webroot identified ssl3.dll as a threat and deleted it. Now I can not start Firefox, nor can I copy ssl3.dll into the Firefox Program file. I tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, but it always shows as an upgrade and does not seem to add ssl3.dll. HELP?

I can't find a way to add text to a photo once it's been put into the top pane of the calendar month...is there a way to do this since I'd like to add a descriptor to the photos? I see the text box when you click on the calendar date, but don't find one for the photo pane. Thanks for any assistance.
Right - you can not add text to photos with iPhoto - you must use an external editor

Can't seem to add artwork to pdf files
In the "Books" tab, I can add artwork to epub books, but I can't seem to add artwork to pdf files. Is this a normal thing? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?
Also, do you know what I should be setting my page widths to if I want the pdf files I create to display nicely in Portrait mode on an iPhone? The ones I made seem to only look nice in Landscape mode.Devin, If they end in .ogg, they are OGG Vorbis files. This is a well-known open-source music format, but iTunes is unable to play it.
Also, as you have just learned, when iTunes encounters a file that is not copmatible, it "errors silently," i.e. gives no indication of what they problem is.
To resolve it, use a 3rd party conversion program such as Switch to convert the OGG files into MP3, and then they will add to iTunes. -

Yes to all, however ive noticed when I turn on the itues Home Sharing, and it says it is on in the File pull down, it disapears from the Livrary pull down. I attempt to view my Library on my iPhone or iPad under the Remote app and it states i have no songs or content. Although it will let me mirror my device on the TV screen.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. It came installed on my HP Desktop. I am can not get the warp text tool to work. It has worked in the past. Once I click warp text, the little window does not pop up, and if I try to do anything else after I click warp text, it wont let me. Just sounds the ding, alert, can still slightly navigate the program but can not use any other tools after clicking warp text. I just have to open task manager and close the program. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or maybe I just need to uninstall and re install. Having trouble finding out how to uninstall and reinstall because the program came pre installed on my desktop.
It actually sounds like the warp text window is opening off screen.
Resetting the photoshop elements 10 preferences should fix it.
*Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after you start the launch of the photoshop elements 10 editor
*Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements setting file
*Press Yes -

Depends to some degree on what iPhoto version you are running but on the whole this covers most. -
Once Firefox 31 is installed it sees all PDF files as Firefox HTML files and changes all of the PDF icons to Firefox HTML icons. This change can not seem to be reversed without uninstalling Firefox.
Only the icon is changed, not the .PDF extension.Thank you for your reply but it's not that simple:
Windows now thinks that the default file type for .pdf is Firfox HTML Document.
I can change which program opens .pdf files but I can't change the icon.

Let me explain further so that you can understand. In folder options / file types I can scroll thru and choose any file type / advanced and change the icon...every one of them except (now) .pdf. There is no advanced tab. Only the message about "restore" I mentioned before.
Firefox changed the file association for .pdf files and now I can't fix it.
And from another thread:
"Firefox 31 is not converting or renaming your files. All it is doing is registering with the Windows OS as an application that is able to open the files and Windows then changes the file's icons accordingly.
This should only occur if no other application has already registered your .pdf files."
