Can Numbers automatically input every Tuesday/Wednesday, etc. of the month?

Hi folks - I am trying to help out a friend who has built an invoice in Pages for her business. She sees clients a few times a month, typically on the same day each week. I don't have experience with Pages and Numbers...I'm guessing that Numbers has more powerful formula abilities, but then she could insert a Numbers table into Pages?
In any case, what I'm hoping to set up for her is something like this:
Somewhere - in the form, in a database? - she inputs the day of the week that she sees the client. This would generally be the same from month to month although could change periodically. When she opens the invoice form, the invoice date would auto-enter (that much I know how to do). Then, in the table, where it lists each date of service, the form would take the day of the week for that client, and automatically enter the dates that month. Does that make sense? So she opens a form for a Tuesday client, the form puts in today's dates, and automatically enters all the Tuesdays for this month.

Possible, but I think you might want to redesign the forms as a Numbers document for reasons noted below.
Here's a table showing the results for two clients, one seen each Friday, the other each Wednesday. Days were chosen to show a four week and a five week example.
The weekday is entered in A1, and the current date in B2 (by whatever means you wish to use).
Cells E1:F8 constitute a lookup table where the weekday name entered in A1 is used as a search key to determine a number to be used in the formula calculating the first date in the current month falling on that weekday.
That formula is in C2:
=B-DAY(B)+1+MOD(LOOKUP($A$1,E,F)+7-WEEKDAY(B-DAY(B)),7)
The first part of the formula, B-DAY(B), calculates a base date, the last day of the previous month. The rest adds the number of days necessary to get to the first Friday (or Wednesday) in the current month.
C3, C4 and C5 contain a formula that adds seven days to the date in the cell above:
C3: =C2+7
C6 has the same formula, enclosed in an IF statement that checks whether the calculated date falls in the current month. If it does, the date is displayed (Wednesday, June 29); otherwise a null string is returned and the cell appears empty (Friday example).
C6: =IF(MONTH(C5+7)=MONTH(C5),C5+7,"")
Pages supports the same functions as Numbers, so the table could be copied and pasted directly into a Pages document.
What Pages doesn't support, though (or supports in a manner not described in the User Guide), is the ability to Hide the columns containing the Lookup table, or to place the lookup table on a separate Table. Hence my suggestion above to consider rethinking this as a Numbers document.

    Click at bottom of the first page:
    Menu > Insert > Section break
    Click somewhere in the 2nd page (not the header/footer)
    Inspector > Layout > Section > Page Numbers > Start at 1 > Configuration > uncheck use previous headers and footers
    Click into the header or footer of the second page:
    Menu > Insert > Auto Page Numbers…
    If there is anything in the header or footer on the first page that you don't want just select it and delete it.
    If you really wanted to manual place page numbers on each page you will have to use a section break between each and every page. I can't imagine that would be useful.

    I have an AOL mail account and I use the Mail App on my Mac to check my mail and so on.
    My question is how do I keep all the Mail (including messages and attachemtns) on the AOL Server as a copy on my Mac Hard Drive.
    For examples, I have 20 Sub-Folders on the AOL Server, can they automatically since to duplicate folders on my Mac?  Or is there an easy way to do it.
    Currently, I am manually moving my messages to the folders I created in the "On My Mac".
    There must be an easier and automatic way to do this that I am missing right?  We are in 2014!

    hi, i have been using palm for years and have moved to ipod touch last year... since this is the beginning of the year... i have a lot of meetings at work that happens on, say, the 4th thurs of the month... BUT, i don't seem to be able to see that as an option in the calendar of my ipod touch... i only see every day, every month, every 2 weeks, every year...
    please help!!!! it is unreal to type in all those meetings manually...

    No easy way to do that I dont think. I suggest copying and pasting the events if you are using iCal so that you do not need to retype them per se.

    Hi Caleb
    After ten years of designing and running time sheet systems I would advise you to look at a database system which will allow you to create totals and sub-totals.
    You don't say if you have a need for recording individual activities or just the "project number/title umbrella", if you do then you must use a database.
    Numbers is a great and versatile app but you would need to be very disciplined when "picking up" the daily totals and "transfering" to a weekly summary. It would be easy to miss a job on the summary and this would need to be manually checked. It would not search the "A" column row headers and transfer in the way you require.
    However having said that, a weekly sheet which has jobs in the "A" header col and days in the header "row 1" could be used with the week totals summarised in the last column. But if you have an existing system using daily time sheets then the change would probably not be worth it.

    There is a Function MonthName() which shows the Month Name. There are no fuctions to dispaly Day Name.
    The better work around is to have some UDF in the B1 Screen and use FMS to show the Day Name in the UDF and print the UDF in PLD.

    I have seen other forms simply open the email client once the user has signed the form, but I am unable to figure out how to do this :/

    If you set up a digital signature field, you can attach a script (e.g., doc.submitForm, doc.mailDoc) to the "Signed" event.

    I made a test and I confirm what I was suspected at first place.
    I uploaded a photo taken from my iPhone to the shared photo stream. Then I imported this photo from the photo stream to my iPhoto library on my Mac. The resolution in which this photo is stored locally is 2048x1536 and its size 961 KB.
    Then I sent the same photo from my iPhone via e-mail. I opened the email on my computer and downloaded the photo. Then I imported it to my Mac´s  iPhoto library. I checked the info out and the resolution is now 3264x2448 and size 2.2 MB.
    Therefore the quality and resolution of the photos that are uploaded to the icloud photo stream is NOT the same as the original one.
    I don´t know whether there is somewhre an option to change that, but this is what happens to me right now.

    Some features I would really like to see in an iCal update would be the ability to make an event happen every Tuesday(or whatever day), every weekday( not every day), and the third Tuesday of each month(or whatever day. I have meetings and classes that occur this way, and there is no way to put them in the calendar unless one does it manually. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this problem. Even the "custom" choice is nothing more than the regular choices given. What's up with that?
