Can only undo 1 step!!!?!

Pretty self-explanatory.
I have InDesign CC on my MacBook Pro and when I undo, it only undoes 1 step. After that there is no undo option, so I cannot undo anything else.

And you've obviously done more than one edit since the last Save AS?
All files? Using Cmd -z or the edit menu? Which verion of OS X and which version of ID (version number, please)?

Howdy-ha, folks. So I've been (very) gradually making the transition from Geany to Vim over several months, mostly without issue. However, I've been reluctant to use Vim for anything other than quick, simple operations for one reason: The "u" key will only undo the most recent change, as though there aren't any other changes in the history. Hitting "u" a second time reverses the "undo" command, so that repeatedly hitting it will just remove and add the same small change over and over again. No matter how much time I spend looking into this it seems I'm the only person who's ever had this problem, and it occurs regardless of whether /etc/vimrc and ~/.vimrc exist. As a result, I can't do any complex editing for fear of botching something and needing to spend hours backtracing my mistakes. Any help on this is appreciated.

That would likely be the issue: I overwrote the default with my own config file, without including runtime! archlinux.vim in my own config. As far as I can tell, things are working as both user and root. I suppose I should have paid more attention, but then again, there's no mention in the Arch wiki entry about not altering/deleting any of those files:

Were you able to reset the account's password ? If not then how did you try to get it reset e.g. http://iforgot.apple.com (which would have sent it to the rescue email address if you have one on that account) ? You can also try contacting iTunes Support in your country to get it reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
And no, accounts can't be merged nor content transferred between accounts.

Yes, you've missed the download step.
Open the Kindle app and navigate to your Library. There is a tab at the bottom that says Cloud | Device. Tap the Cloud tab and tap the books you want to download to the device. You will see a progress indicator during the download. Once it's done, read away!

No. 2 steps if the app is already open, double tap the home button and then tap on the app.

Why Apple can't undo its mistake?

I wanna point out a big issue with the whole process of two-step verification system. First of all, I need you to know that I was usung my apple id for four years and I spent nearly 400$ on apps and still had 200$ to spend. Moreover, the total value of id was more than that since I had bought many apps on discount. Anyway, 3 days ago I slept and when I woke up, noticed that my id was blocked for security reasons and that I should reset my password. I did what I was told, however, I was required to enter my recovery key. Now, there begins that huge flaw. I've forgotten it (I know it was my responsibility to remember it). When I click on the "Lost your recovery key?" I'm directed to another page on which it says a lost recovery key can be renewed by signing-in to the account and so on. Interestingly, Apple has blocked my id itself so there is no way to sign-in and get a new recovery key. I called Apple support and talked to them for over an hour. They tried various methods. Nothing worked.
Among things they tried was changing my iforgot.apple.com page in a way to use e-mail authentication or security questions. Unbelievably, the system didn't allow me to use either of options!
I was furious. I remember that I was just yelling at John (Apple support) who was trying to calm me. After wasting one hour and fifteen minutes this was their solution:
"Create new account and ,perhaps, don't use two-step verification again."
The last part hurt the most. I felt dumb. Yes, I was heedless not to properly ssave my recovery key and I accept reprcussions. But, when we hear NSA evesdropping and spying on the Chancellor of Germany, I can't help myself thinking how difficult it can be for Apple to flip the switch and undo what it has done, blocking the account.
So, I spent the rest of day feeling like you know what. I actually created new account and pirated all Apple Mac applications. I know that my feelings for Apple will not be straight again, and that I'm gouing to jailbreak all iDevices I own to exploit poor developers' hardworking. But, this is Apple who should feel ashamed that made such a cumbersome process that even itself can't or doesn't want to bypass it.
Here are my suggestions:
First: after completion of enabling two-step verification, an email is sent. It would be much better to add the recovey key as an attachment to it. My email was the first place that I looked for it.
Scond: Google's two step verification is more powerful and well-thaought-out. It is bound to your mobile phone and it is much harder to lose your mobile phone than a piece of a paper or a file that your recovery key is on it.
Third: When I asked Apple the reason that caused blocking my account, they said that some A**H**E attempted many times to sign in to it. So, I don't believe blocking my id was a good deterrant and it did more harm than good. Apple blocked my account to protect me but instead it costed me 600$. It would be better to warn me or ask me to change my password than blocking it.
And my question is: Why Apple can't unblock my account when I am its legitimate owner. I just don't get it. Shall I pursue justice in court rooms, or will Apple stop being such a mischeavous pestering child who asks for more cash.

Whose mistake? The source of the problem:
I was required to enter my recovery key. Now, there begins that huge flaw. I've forgotten it (I know it was my responsibility to remember it).
If you had just taken the simple steps of storing your recovery key as Apple tells you to when you set it up, none of this would've happened.

After you turn it on, there will be no way for anyone to access and manage your account at My Apple ID other than by using your password, verification codes sent your trusted devices, or your Recovery Key. You must be responsible for:
Remembering your password.
Keeping your trusted devices physically secure.
Keeping your Recovery Key in a safe place.
If you lose access to two of these three items at the same time, you could be locked out of your Apple ID account permanently.
In addition, with two-step verification turned on, only you can reset your password, manage your trusted devices, or create a new recovery key.
Apple Support can help you with other aspects of your service, but they will not be able to update or recover these three things on your behalf.
If you aren't responsible enough to do that, you should not have turned the optional security feature on.
This is your fault, not Apple's.

I move the one on my desktop (wrong file) into the solitarie file and was asked if I wanted to replace the graphics file in the solitarie folder (the correct one). I said yes accidently and then remembered that I had made a mistake. If I use undo, it only move the wrong file back to the desktop. Is there an undo of replace?

Sorry, but's that's why you get the warning. "Replace" means just that - the new file over-writes the old one. There is no undo.

I can only see some of the info (e.g. the email Facebook gives you) for some friends in Contacts. I can see everything for others. Their b-days aren't listed in my Contacts (but these friends have their B-days on their profile on FB). Can anyone help?

I can only see some of the information of my Facebook friends in my Contacts. For example, a friend has a birthday today. I received an email that she and another friend have birthdays this week. I received a notification on my iPhone and iPad that her birthday was today. It was never displayed in my Notification Center or Calendar beforhand, like it's displayed for other friend's (for other friends, it's displayed in the Notification Center, with the Calendar icon, 1 day before). I looked at every setting I could think of and the Help pages on Facebook. Nothing is working. My friend with the birthday today has her birthday openly listed on her Profile information on her Facebook page. In my contacts, her Facebook email (the one Facebook assigns you when you join) is listed. However her picture and birthday are not listed. I displayed my Facebook Contacts only, and roughly 20 showed up and not the rest. It's like the devices are not recognizing those people and putting their information in the respective places. I have an iPad 3rd Gen, iPhone 5, and MacBook Pro (purchased in January 2013. I hope that helps) and ALL the software updates are current. Can anyone help? Also, my MacBook cannot access my Contacts from Yahoo. Despite my typing in the correct password repeatedly as well as deleting and adding the Yahoo account again. IMac mid 2010 21.5' can only run in safe mode

My iMac (mid 2010) cannot reboot recently. It can only be boot in safe mode by pressing 'shift' when turning on. If boot normally, it will stuck on the grey apple logo screen. I tried re-install os, clean os installation, restore os using Time Machine etc, but none of these works.
If I turn off the computer for a whole night, it will then turn on the next morning. But, after a few minutes of watching video in YouTube, the screen gets frozen and I have to restart it manually, then only safe boot can work ... Now, even if I don't touch it for 24 hours, it can't start normally but safe boot.
I run the 'apple hardware test' by pressing D when reboot, the AHT did not detect any hardware problem. But I guess there is hardware problem with the logic board or graphic card.
The operation system is 10.9.4. I restored it to 10.9.2 using Time Machine, but the same symptom.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

How can I undo an add-on settings sync?

I use Firefox Sync. As far as I can tell, bookmarks synced well. Tabs didn’t but that’s probably due to having opened to many on my main machine. Also add-ons synced i. e. the Firefox on a Ubuntu laptop now has all the add-ons that my home computer Firefox has. Unfortunately, the sync reset all of the settings in some add-ons. So, for example, in LeechBlock the list of websites that I’d like to block, the schedule and all the rules are gone. How can I undo the last sync? Or is there a way to make my main computer the master in all syncs?

The prefs that are set by an extension are usually not included in the Sync, so you get the default setting if you sync an extension from one computer to another.
Only prefs that have a corresponding services.sync.prefs.sync.* pref that is set to true will be synced to other devices.
If you want to sync additional prefs then you can create a corresponding Boolean sync pref yourself and set the value to true.

With 10.2 I can only use system speaker output for audio, NOT my RME FF400 I used previously. The FF400 works fine with other apps. How can I set this device in FCP 10.2? (it is set in both system preferences and midi)

The FF400 works fine with other apps (some like TwistedWave) setup in the program, and others (like Spotify) using system preferences & audio midi setup. How can I set the FF400 to be the sound output device in FCP 10.2? N.B. The FF400 is set as sound output device in both system preferences and audio midi setup.

I have the solution! Well it at least worked for me. This is the response I got from Apple, Can you please try the following steps towards fixing your audio issue, and report back with your results?
1. Open the application Audio Midi Setup (located in Applications : Utilities)
2. Select the Output Tab for the current output device
3. Select the Configure Speakers option
4. Select the Multichannel tab
5. Change the setting to Stereo Now mine was set to stereo but the left channel wasn't showing left. re-clicking on stereo reloaded the settings and after clicking apply it worked.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

The iPhone like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in the library to which it is synced.
If you wish to sync to a new computer, the first step is to copy or move the iTunes media library from the old computer to the new computer. This can be done via the network or by using an external hard drive.
Once the library has been moved, simply sync to the new computer.

Can only undo 1 step!!!?!
