Can OWB 10.1.2.0.2 deploy to RDBMS 10gR2

Hello,
Can OWB 10.1.2.0.2 deploy to RDBMS 10gR2. If so what do I need to do to make this happen.
Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl,
OWB10gR1 is not certified with 10gR2 database until patch 10.1.0.4 is available.
When that is going to happen.... no idea.
OWB 10gR2 is compatible with 10gR2 database but not available as production software yet.
Cheers, Patrick

  • Can OWB handle EDI transaction sets?

I need to read in an EDI transaction. Can OWB read in and/or write out EDI X12 HIPAA 4010 837? Has anyone done it?

    Hi Chris,
Forgive my ignorance on the exact specs for the EDI transaction, however if this is a file format I'm pretty sure there are control file examples out there... And if you can load it with SQL Loader I would assume you can do the same thing with OWB.
So while I do not have an example right here, I suspect they are out there... and I think you should be able to do this with OWB.
If anyone has done this would be good to share an example. You can use the OTN exchange on the OWB main page for example.
    Thanks,
    Jean-Pierre

  • How can OWB apply information access control policy?

    Hi friends,
My question is "how can OWB apply information access control policy in DW?"
    Regards

    Hi,
what exactly do you mean by "information access control policy"?
What you cannot do in owb is define grants or virtual private database (vpd) constraints.
What you can do is restrict the developer's access to owb objects in the repository.
    Regards,
    Carsten.

  • OWB 10.1.0.4.0 deployment results in RPE-01011

We are deploying the same project, developed in OWB version 10.1.0.4.0, to both a test and production server. Since a reorganisation of those servers we've been unable to deploy mappings to the production site, due to an apparent version discrepancy:
RPE-01011: Cannot deploy to target database location because it does not have a compatible version. On the test site we have no problems, even though both databases are identical.
In the design repository, the module has system type (on the data target rider in the properties window) set to "Oracle Database 8i/9i/10g". For the same module, the pl/sql generation mode in the generation preferences is configured for "Oracle10g".
    Version information of the databases:
    Test:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi

TNS for HPUX: Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Production

  • Can not open the WSDL in a Deployed web service

I finished a JAXRPC based web service, packaged a war file and then using WSDEPLOY to produce a new war file. The new war file was deployed to Sun APP Server and everything seemed to be fine. But when I tried to open the url, the page displayed many question marks (not encoding problem, I tried many encodings but no change). The following is a copy from the browser (originally in a table, becomes mess here)
    Web ??
    MetSoapEndpoint ???
    ??? http://localhost:8080/MyWS/mysoap/MyWSEndpoint
    WSDL? http://localhost:8080/MyWS/mysoap/MyWSEndpoint?WSDL

    ???? net.agmodel.myws.mysoap.MyWSEndpoint_Impl
    ??? http://localhost:8080/MyWS/mysoap/MyWSEndpoint???
And I tried to open the WSDL by clicking on the above WSDL address, but get the following error message:
XML Parsing Error: no element found
    Location: http://localhost:8080/MyWS/mysoap/MyWSEndpoint?WSDL

I also tried to deploy the service to JBOSS 4.0.4, got exactly the same result.
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks a lot.

    Nobody answered...
May bcoz it was on AXIS2.... no issues guys..here is the solution
Webservice technology is also based on Servlet based techology only
so in AXIS2 webservice class, implement org.apache.axis2.engine.ServiceLifeCycle interface. You'll get 2 methods here -
    void startUp(ConfigurationContext arg0, AxisService arg1) and
    void shutDown(ConfigurationContext arg0, AxisService arg1)
these are nothing but init() and destroy() of the servlet.
Inside these methods u can get servlet context parameters by getAttribute(string) and initial parameters of the servlet by getInitParameter(string)

  • SCCM's OSD (not MDT): Task sequence can be tweaked into imaging Windows+VHD Native Boot, but can it go all the way and deploy?

    Hello All,
What I am trying to do is use SCCM's own OSD Task Sequence / Windows PE to deploy an operating system that boots using VHD Native Boot. (C:\ = VHD File  with Windows, D:\ Data drive with BCDBoot).
MDT 2013 Can do it I've been told, but I am putting off MDT until Windows 10 if I can get away with it.
TechNet VHD Native Boot on Windows 8.1:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825689.aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825691.aspx
The good news is it is working up to the "Apply Operating System" phase, but that apply operating system phase is reported as an error even though it completes successfully. It can't clean up the SMSTS folder it's looking for on the C:\ because
it's been moved over to the D:\ by a diskpart script. We are left with the deployment working but requiring IT staff to deal with the OOBE Personalization wizard and adding each PC to the domain manually. From that point on the SCCM client can do the rest,
which works for US before we upgrade to Windows 10 with utilizing MDT.
I am not talking about deploying an OS to a VHD file and putting that file on a network share i.e.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2013/10/31/new-in-system-center-2012-r2-configuration-manager-deploying-an-operating-system-to-a-virtual-hard-drive-vhd.aspx
I reported getting the diskpart script working first here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ff124f09-1d2e-4fc4-a5b6-63b683f3d208/native-vhd-boot-deployments-from-sccm-2012-r2?forum=configmanagerosd
    Here it is:
rem work around any USB disk left in or any CDROM detected by PE as drive D
    select volume D
    assign letter=F noerr
rem select the formatted volume and reassign it's drive letter
    select volume C
    assign letter=D
rem create and setup VHD file
    create vdisk file=D:\DEV_WIN81.VHD maximum=250000 type=expandable
    select vdisk file=D:\DEV_WIN81.VHD
    attach vdisk
    create partition primary
    active
    format FS=NTFS quick label="Developer Win81 VHD"
    assign letter=C
    rescan
    exit
(type=fixed is better for performance - we'll surely activate when we have dual boot 8.1 / Windows 10 later for the Win10 VHD's)
The Task Sequence looks like this:
I'd like to add a few more steps after apply operating system if I can, but I have to resolve this error with "Apply Operating system before I can go further."
    Question:
Can an OSD guru tell me if there are any Task Sequence Variables we could throw at this to make the Apply Operating System sequence complete without error so we can do all SCCM OSD Deployment steps?
If we can, then someone (not me) gets to add a new TechNet blog post about this being possible. It's my understanding presently that only MDT can support deploying WIM files into VHDs on Workstations, that boot them.
The install image was created using dism to convert a VHD from a Hyper-V host into a wim. I know I'm meant to use SCCM to capture it, but I don't think that's causing this problem because when we are deploying from that image to a HDD without VHD we don't
    get any issues.
I'm only allowed enough characters to paste the tail end of the apply operating system phase only:

I have already set it to FALSE. The solution to this will be some different OSD Task Sequence variables or a statement that it can't be made to work.
I believe that setting defines what volume will be the BOOT / OS Drive Letter. Some people were getting D:\WINDOWS as their boot volume drive letter. Setting to true means whatever was the System Drive letter (usually C) in the image will remain as such
after it was was applied, setting it to false will make the system have the same drive letter arrangement as what Windows PE detects. In my case I set it to false so that no matter what the new VHD file setup as drive C will be the system drive. I'll set it
to true on the next deployment but I expect there to be no difference, because in both PE and the WIM the installation volume is the C:.
We are talking about the DRIVE LETTERS Windows PE SCCM OSD is using for it's temporary files - and how we can manipulate these locations using OSD Task Sequence Variables, so the Apply OS doesn't try and clean up files that are not there
    - and fail with an error if you have added a VHD Native Boot volume.
This OSDPreserveDriveLetter setting isn't having any effect on the problem here.
I believe that Format step is setting some task variables used by the OSD Deployment process - telling it where to store it's temporary files. However between the Format Disks and Apply operating system steps the OSD Task Sequence isn't picking up on the
fact what was the C:\ after Format HDD step is now the D:\ .
A developer who has an understanding of how the OSD boot process executes in order would be able to see what's going on here.

  • How can i set a path for my deployment files in weblogic server 10.3

    Hi
How can i set the path for my WAR ,JAR files while deploying.i am using the wls10.3 version.
is there any scripts for this ,please provide me.
my Application is ADF 11g application.

By "path", I assume you mean "classpath".
The simplest way is simply to include the jars you need inside the web application or web module's WEB-INF/lib directory, EJB module's META-INF/lib directory, or EAR lib directory.
If that's not practical, if you use NodeManager to start your servers, you can go to the "Server Start" tab in the server definition in the WebLogic console and edit the "Classpath" field, which defaults to no value. You can specify a classpath value there. Note that if you specify a value there, it REPLACES the default classpath for the server, it doesn't add to it. If you need to just add to it (a much more likely scenario), if the value references the value "$CLASSPATH" in it, that will reference the original classpath value that the server would have had.
So, for instance, if you wanted to include the MQ jars in the server classpath, you could set a value like this:
    /usr/java/mq/lib/mq.jar:/usr/java/mq/lib/mqstuff.jar:$CLASSPATH

  • Can you use a publishing profile to deploy to multiple locations?

Is there a way to deploy my web app to multiple locations?  Right now I am using a publishing profile (example below) and tried to use MSDeploy to deploy to my server and then just to a network location by having multiple PropertyGroup attributes.
Without creating two builds (one to deploy to the server and a second to the file system) how can I do this?  The code below doesn't cause any errors but it only uses the last PropertyGroup.
    Any suggestions?

  • Can't include library .vi in vision deployment

    Hi,
I'm deploying a vision application (LabVIEW 7.1.1,  Vision development module 7.1.1)
I have both the LabVIEW and Vision run time engines at 7.1.1
When running the installed application on the target PC many NI vi's used are not found.
Most are solved by including libraries in the build, but one isn't.
imgCopyAreaWithOccur.vi  (used in IMAQGrabAcquire.vi) can be found in DLLcalls.llb.
However, if I include either imgCopyAreaWithOccur.vi  or the full library DLLcalls.llb in the installer, the vi is still listed as missing.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
    Thanks
    Bandit.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your reply. It's turned up an anomaly and I don't know why
On my development machine IMAQ is at 3.5.0, but on the target machine it's at 3.1.0.
I don't actually want to go as far as 3.5.0 as it doesn't support Win NT. In the end one of the targets for my app is an NT4.0 machine.
The thing is I don't know why my development machine has IMAQ 3.5.0, as the vision development module 7.1.1 CD installed to it only has IMAQ 3.1.0.
I should probably try to roll back my development PC to using IMAQ 3.1.0 - can you advise if this is likley to cause me any difficulties?
As for system info, the situation is as follows.
We have a Dalsa Spyder linescan camera we have used for a while, with a PCI 1424 acquisition card on a windows NT system.
We then got a Dalsa Piranha camera and a PCI 1428 card, which is paired with a Win XP system.
My current task is to upgrade my linescan application to enable the use of either camera (done) and make it distributable (doing that now).
The Piranha becomes the main system (it's faster) and the Spyder gets mothballed. Should we have enough work to need 2 camera's we then purchase a second license and bring that system back into use.
Let me know if you need any further info. I have this thread set to notify my e-mail account inthe event of a reply.

  • OWB 10.2.0.5 Mapping deploy problem

    Hi all,
I have problems deploying mappings in this particular scenario:
Loading from subscriber views that were created when setting up change data capture in the database named WAREHOUSE under the CDC_STG_PUB schema, I designed the mapping to apply the changes to tables in the same database but under the ADMIN1 schema. But when I tried to deploy this mapping, several warning messages were delivered complaining of target table/view not exist. I have checked that the target table did exists in the ADMIN1 schema so am not sure what went wrong.
Previously, I already deploy the same mapping but with the target table, sequences, dimensions all in the CDC_STG_PUB schema and no problems occured. BUt upon changing the deployment location of all these objects, despite deploying all these objects first into the ADMIN1 schema successfully, deployment of the mapping gives me warning messages.
In actual fact, I am trying to do a deployment to another different location but it seems that there are problems with doing so. Anyone has any solutions?
Update: I tried a very simple mapping of loading to a target table that is in another schema called ADMIN1 rather than the schema the owb module is configured to deploy to and it fails with similar warning messages as above. Is there anyway of deploying to tables in another schema?
    Edited by: user8915380 on 21-Mar-2010 02:15

    Hi,
deploy a mapping to the schema that contains the target table.
If you want to use the same mapping to load tables with the same structure in different schemas try to use synonyms. Use a premapping operator to set the synonym to the correct target table.
The same mapping should only be deployed to one schema.

    Carsten.

  • Can OWB extract metadata from foxpro 2.5 or foxbase?

We know that OWB can extract metadata from some relational databases other than Oracle database with Heterogeneous Services. Sybase,DB2 and SQL Server provide
specific agent for Oracle. What about foxpro 2.5 or foxbase?
If they haven't any agent for oracle,is it possible to extract metadata from a foxpro 2.5 or a foxbase database using ODBC agent?
    Thanks for any help!!!

I don't think there is a gateway, so I would use ODBC and the heterogeneous services in the database to do this.

  • Can't Activate Windows 8 after Image Deployment

    Hello,
I've got troubles with activating Window 8 after deploying it from my WDS server.
Made an Image of a laptop in Audit Mode and activated it before using Sysprep.
After capturing and deploying it I'm getting this error when trying to activate Windows.
Error code 0x800751D (No records found for given DNS query)
All drivers are installed, I can run Windows Updates, Apps are working.
Everything seems fine, except for this.
Also tried Sysprep without activating Windows 8, but after deploying the image I'm getting the same Error.
My Unattended file for this Image contains a KMS client Key for Windows 8 (334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT) so that it skips the activation step during the innstallation. Also tried to fill it in with xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx, but didnt work.
I little help needed here !
    Kind Regards,,
    Bas

if there isn't an embedded product key for Win8, you'll need to supply one, either in the unattend, or at deploy time. The pkey you supply, will need to match the channel of the product you're installing.
So, if you are using Retail media, use the Retail pkey that you have purchased for that machine. Retail pkeys are not multiple-use.
If you are using VL channel media, your choice is to use KMS or MAK.
I'm not too familiar with OEM preloading, but I've read that OEMs preload with a generic pkey, which is basically ignored if the embedded key is detected during OOBE.
I've always understood that images shouldn't be captured when the sysprep status is audit mode, and, that OOBE/generalize is where you capture (used to be know as re-seal), and, that specialize is a necessary step that shouldn't be avoided. One of the reasons
for this, is that the generalize process will rearm the Windows Activation of the image, and, specialize will perform the individuation of the image at deployment, calculate the necessary hardware hash, and trigger Windows Activation to begin.
bypassing these steps typically leaves you with more trouble to resolve, and, a deployment that is harder to support (and MS deem non-sysprepped systems as unsupported).
Why is it that skipping specialize is important to you?
