Can't change padding in cell

hello,
I know... sounds easy... but I'm stuck.
Once I have set the body,th,td tag to cell padding of say 30, (which I have to have) I can't get a table within to have it's own padding parameters. When I go into the properties of the table, it says that the padding is 0, however, it's not. It adopts the padding from the PAGE/BODY, no matter what I put in the cell props.
The only time I have control over the padding within a tabel/cell is when the page padding is at 0.

I also have it here at the very bottem. Alec, I tried putting that tag right under the first block, but the whole page went to 10px, not just the table.
I'm goin' nuts with thing. I can't see what I'm doing wrong. :-(

Hi ,
Normally we use Scripts and smartforms for submitting the output to customers or for tax purpose and so on,,in such case we wont submit in differnt color other than white and black,so formatting in other colors is not possible in Script and smartforms.
Please let me know if have any issues on this.

Is your phone still covered by warranty? If so, go to your nearest Apple store and depending on what happened, this may or may not be covered by warranty. If it is, then you can get a replacement exactly as the phone you already have.
If out of warranty, then there is nothing you can do and you'll have to pay.

How can I change the color of a cell when it is selected. I select the cell by pressing enter, then I want the text in the cell to change color to red, but all the cells in the table change color. Please I would be grateful for some help

Set the columns in your table:

I want to use numbers on my iPad mini for a team I coach. I have a spreadsheet on my mac I want to import onto the iPad mini for players to enter in wellness ratings. On this spreadsheet (on the mac) I have a conditioning formatting rule that when a player enters in their numbers the cells fill with black so others can't see their entries (to maintain privacy). Will this function import across onto iPad numbers? From the discussion I saw on this site it only partly answers my question stating "it cannot be edited" does this mean the conditional formatting rule cannot be changed and therefore will still work or the whole spreadsheet can't be edited and you can only view the spreadsheet and make no new entries to it?

You need to set up the accounts in System Preferences/Accounts, then activate Fast User Switching.
That way you can quickly log in to your own account - then back to his.
You should obviously have different passwords.

Thanks - that helped. But when I tried to sync all my photo folders to the I pad 2, I tunes would add some but not all of the ones that were marked to sync, end the sync, then the I pad 2 would hang with the wheel turning, saying it was still syncing photos, and it would not end and the remaining folders of photos never appeared. I finally had to sync and re-sync over and over by adding one folder of photos at a time, then another and another.

Can you post a screenshot showing the problem. You can select the cell(s) then adjus the formatting as needed using the Cell format tool on the right.

Can't change cell number format

Has anyone else had a cell that you can't change the number format? I had a table with a sum and it was not including 3 rows that were stuck as 'text'. Changing the format did not stick. I ended up just filling the cells from the ones that were able to change to 'number'.
Not a good feature for a spreadsheet!

This is a design flaw that I consider a bug. It depends on the keyboard used to input the numbers. If you used the text keyboard (the one you get when selecting the "T"), the "number" you enter is text; you cannot change its format and it will not show up, for example, in a sum (it is treated as a null). Type the same "number" into the cell using the number keypad (the one you get by selecting the "42") and it is a number. This makes absolutely no sense to me but its the way it works. While I might be able to buy that a "number" being entered from the text ("T") keyboard is by default treated as text, changing the format to number should work. That it does not is something I can never buy.

One of the ways this can happen is if the cells you are trying to format are the result of a formula or coming from elswhere in the table. For instance, if I have the formula SUM that is totaling a column formated "currency" I will not be able to change its format to "text".
What do you want to do? there may be another way to accomplish it.

You would have to implement your own ICellRenderer, see http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/hb/com/sapportals/htmlb/table/ICellRenderer.html and then use http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/hb/com/sapportals/htmlb/table/TableView.html#setCellRenderer(com.sapportals.htmlb.table.ICellRenderer)

1. I can validate data in cells in setValueAt method but the cell data will be validated only if user click on that cell.
how can i validate another cell if user does not even touch it.
2. and if error how can i change background color.
3. i have JTextField for column as cell editor/renderer. To change the data user have to double click on cell. How can I make it to click once to edit the value in the cell.

Why would you want to validate a cell if a user doesn't change it?for example user clicked Add row, and i added a row in the table with blank information...so .all cells in the new row have blanks, so if user does not enter the data in the second column... which he did not touch...i want to catch it and produce error
