Can't create a data source on weblogic 9.2

I tryed to create a Data Source on Weblogic 9.2 to Oracle 9.2.0.5. Ocurrs the exception below:

It seems that while connecting to the database it's getting connection reset exception. have you tried connecting the database from where the machine you are trying to create datasource?
Also, send the steps which you are following for creating the datasource.

    For Function Module Extractors, we will create strctures. We will use these strctures as Extract Structures. But, we will get the data from Base tables only not from Strcutures.
Strctures won't contain data.

Can't Create a Data Source - Failed to test connection. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied

I am having a serious issue with The Power BI Data Management Gateway which I am hoping that someone can help me with.
Basically I am setting a connection between a Power BI demo site and a SQL 2012 Database based on Azure. The Data Management Gateway and is up and running, and Power BI has managed to connect to it successfuly.
By following the tutorials at
here I was able to successful create my Data Connection Gateway with a self-signed certificate.
However, when trying to create the data source I come into problems. The Data Source Manager manages to successfully resolve the hostname, as per the screenshot below:
Bear in mind that I exposed the require ports in Azure as endpoints and I managed to modify my hosts file on my local machine so I could access the SQL server hosted in Azure using its internal name -- otherwise I would not be able to get this far.
However the creation of the data source also fails when trying to created it whilst logged in the SQL server in question:
The Data Source Manager returns the error when using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server:
Failed to test connection. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied
I tried using the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 instead but I also get an error. This time the error is:
Failed to test connection. Login timeout expiredA network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online.Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53].
Some considerations
If I provide an invalid username/password, the Data Source Manager does say that the username and password is incorrect.
Firewall is turned off in the SQL Server (either way, this error also happens if I try top use the Data Source Manager whilst logged in the SQL Server itself).
SQL Profiler does not show any attempt of connection.
The SQL server instance in question is the default one.
The error happens regardless if I select the option to encrypt connection or not.
In SQL Configuration manager I can see that all protocols are enabled (TCP/IP, Named Pipes and Shared Memory.
The Event Viewer does not provide any further errors than the one I have copied in this post.
I'm at a loss here. Could someone please advise what might I be doing wrong?

Here is what I had to do to solve this issue:
Basically I had to add the MSSQL TCP/IP port as an end-point in Azure. After I did that, then I was able to create the data-source. However, I was only able to authenticate with a SQL account, as any domain account would return me an error saying that the
domain isn't trusted.
What puzzles me here is how come the Data Source Manager would inform me that an account username/password was invalid, but it would fail/timeout if I provided valid credentials (!?!?!!?)

Standalone application can't get JDBC data source from Weblogic 10.3

We have the following configuration :
A Weblogic server 10.3 (default installation).
The server contains a JMS queue (jndi name: "DMQ") and JDBC data sources (jndi names: Oracle thin XA - "dataSource", MS SQL - "dataSource1")

I hit the same problem as yours. This issue is caused by JDK version. The JDK used by Weblogic 10.3 is java 6, while your client program's jdk version is java5. So change the both of them to java 6. This issue will be fixed.
Don't forget to rebuild the wlfullclient.jar which also should be java 6.

Can't create sql data source in Power BI

Hello All,
I'm trying to use the sql database from my ACT! CRM to connect to Power BI.
I've succeeded in installing the Microsoft data management gateway and connecting this Power BI. Status is 'running'.
However when I try to add sql data source, and add credentials to log on the 'act7' instance of the sql, the response is 'failed to test connection, login failed'
Can anyone help?

When you specify credential, are you able to connect to the data source directly? Meaning that if you're at home please ensure VPN is established between you and the data source. This is another factor of authentication when exposing data source for workbook
refresh.

How to create Hive data source?!!

I am trying to create hive data source connection.
I am stack on creating connection profile and configuring "Generic JDBC Driver" .. after i added drivers i keep getting " Required property in driver definition missing value: Driver Class." error.
I am adding a screenshot with the list of drivers.

In Jdbc node create a Jdbc Connection Pool with the
Url=jdbc:borland:dslocal:/jbuilder6/samples/Ejb/db/esite.jds
and driver=com.borland.datastore.jdbc.DataStoreDriver. Create a Datasource
using a Jndi & Jdbc Connection Pool.

console.
I understand that the following steps are required:
1.Create connection pool for the RMI driver by specfiying URL as
jdbc:weblogic:rmi and Driver as weblogic.jdbc.rmi.Driver. Now
comes the problem.. what do put in properties text area? I am
talking about key/value pairs required?
2. Having done step 1 ( which I was not able to do) , create a new DataSource
mapping to the connection pool created from step 1.
How to accomplish step 1 ? I want to finally connect to Oracle
database. Please help me.

DataSource will internally do that for you (It will use RMI internaly) . You
dont have to worry about the details of using RMI driver. Thats what is a
DataSource is for.

Weblogic 10.3 Issue with Creating OLAP4J Data Source.

I can connect to SSAS per the DriverManager but using the same params the Data Source fails.
Here are the Data Source parameters that I am using.
Name: NPW-SSAS-CLAIMS-CUBE_DS
JNDI Name: ssas_Claim_Cube_DS
Database Type: Other
Database Driver: Other
Database Name: TECC V520
Host Name: transportationssas2k8te.atldc.nscorp.com
Port: 8080
Database User name: synpwtd
Password: The correct pw was entered
Driver Class Name: org.olap4j.driver.xmla.XmlaOlap4jDriver
URL: jdbc:xmla:Server=http://gaatlittclm01d/transportationssas2k8te.atldc.nscorp.com/transportation/msmdpump.dll
Properties: user=synpwtd
Test Select: Blank
Here is the error that I receive.
Response: '401: Unauthorized'
I anyone has any suggestion I welcome them. So far I can not file docs on the web that cover configuring a olap data source for Weblogic 10.3.

MEM_PERM_SIZE=-XX:PermSize=128m
MEM_MAX_PERM_SIZE=-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
Please do the needful for this. Also if the parameter settin is not correct please give the correct settings.

Fields missing while creating the data source

Hi All
I am using a third party system to pull data in to BI...Actually there was one table where from the other end they had added 2 fields recently...when i checked in development i was able to create the data source for the table along with the new fields..but when i check it in production those newly added 2 fields are missing .. though i am able to see the old fields in the data source the newly added fields are missing..so is there any problem with the refreshment of the table or should we reastart the connection?
Can any one please let me know a solution for this...

Are you having connectivity like this
BI Dev
BI QA ---> All Three connected to same 3 rd party system
BI Prod
If yes, If it is R3 replicate datasource will help.
Incase of third party system you need to regenerate the datasource.
if it is DB Connect try to go to the source system and connect to database table from BI side and at the top you will have
generate datasource. use that option you will be able to solve.
Else
BI Dev - 3rd party dev
BI prod - 3rd party prod
Try to add 2 new fields in the 3rd party system and generate the datasource as told above.

Not able to create a Data source with qty filed in the table

Hi i am having scenario.
i am doing a Genric R/3 extraction for R/3 system. I created a view from two tables. I have added a net quantity field also in then view table. But when i created a data source for that view it is showing a error message which says that it cannot create a data source with a quantity field in the table.
Here is my question. How to create a Data Source for a view table which has Qty filed in it.
Pls help with this.

U need to add reference table for the unit .... when added into the view u create .......the reference table name u can find in the table itself from where it is brought into the view.... in the table currency quantity fields........
U can add that table in the currency /quantity fields of the view....u need to add referecne field and table...and activate ........

You have two options
1. create a view and base the block on the view
2. create a block with a query Data Source Type of 'FROM clause query'

Error while creating the data source

iam creating generic data source using function module.
i inserted the function module and structure name,
when i press the save button, it is throwingerror message as Units field WAERS for field ANSWT of DataSource ZEQUIP_DS is hidden.
please guide me how can i overcome this

The error message is explicit the WAERS field is hidden...you must edit the datasource structure in RSO2 and uncheck the "hidden" checkbox for that field....

I suffered similar issue in Infopath, and i finally solved the issue by changing the data connection URL, it should the same as the Infopath publish location.
for example: SP server iP 192.168.1.1 have two name, hostname is mySP, alternate assces mapping name is companySP, and you can access the websit by both

http://companySP
